@liamCroft
You totally left out the option of "ray tracing off" and "higher frame rate off".
That according to my tv gives you 4k 60.
Higher frame rate mode drops the game to 1080p and agreed Ray tracing is very unstable.
It's not a bad upgrade as it was never broke, on pro anyway.
@Richnj You didn't say anything about it getting old, that was my argument. Plus I never said anything about graphics being tied to gameplay. Don't be trying to put words in my mouth.
Your argument now is going in the direction of raking over who said what.
My thoughts on TLOU 1 are, the price will come down and Sony will continue to have a version to sell to the PS5 generation and future generations.
I think it's a case of planning for the future. It probably seems bizarre but not everyone has played TLOU. I like the idea of the new version. I've played the PS3 version twice and the PS4 version at least 4 times. It's an incredible game that should never be forgotten and this remake is addressing that.
Why would Sony want to copy a loosing horse? Sony hopefully will stick to the model they have used for the last 28 years. Software sells hardware. I genuinely cannot see one reason as to, why to own an Xbox.
Dug out my PS3 and started playing Hitman HD trilogy. I'm playing Hitman 2 silent assassin, it's hilarious. I was also playing Metal gear solid peace walker, another classic. I'd forgotten how absolutely brilliant the PS3 is.
@Luigia I think you're wrong there, as EA are charging €75 the new F1 2022 and I think I've even seen fifa priced at €75.
I don't mind Sony charging £70 for AAA games that have budgets of over 100 million to produce. That's fair, but companies like EA charging €75 for a game that's been in development less that a year, is a rip off.
@Cyberpunk28 I wouldn't worry about it. It'll probably cost £70 to buy on PS5. If you only have the PS4 for the last 2 years then you have loads of PS4 games to play that are much cheaper to buy.
Bloodborne really should have one, but maybe Sony are up to something. Red dead redemption is owned by RS so they are probably trying to figure how to make money from one. They're the 2 games I think really deserve a 60fps upgrade.
I can understand Sony charging £70 for a first party title, because of massive development costs. I don't see the value in EA charging £70 for a game that has been in development for less that a year and is essentially a tweaked version of last years game.
I bought a year's subscription of PS plus at Christmas for €30. I always felt that I need to be really careful, because I do not want to continue subscribing after it expires. Personally I don't think it's worth it at all, and I certainly don't want to pay €60 for a second year. Only for Gran Turismo I'd get no use of it at all. PS plus games either don't interest me or I already own them on disc.
@Anke I didn't play ACC but I'd did play AC and wasn't impressed, I deleted it from my PS4 pro. I played PC2 on Xbox one x and thought it was rough as hell and sold it the same week. For me I think GT7 is a pretty fine car lovers racing game. I also really enjoyed dirt rally, dirt rally 2.0 and dirt 4.
I'm not a hardcore racer but I know what I like. I had a G29 wheel but I sold it as it took up too much space. However using the wheel really improved my lap times.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Where is the proof that the credits payout have been reduced? That's what I'd like to know, because I haven't noticed if that is the case
@Apfelschteiner Ok I picked you up wrong. People who are complaining though, are trying to effect sales of the game. The online only is unfortunately due to the FIA and supposedly to combat cheating. It would be better having an offline mode but I wouldn't hold my breath. The micro transactions are practically invisible.
@Welsh_Will The grind is much more enjoyable in GT7 and not near as difficult as previous GT games. The game is very generous with credits and free cars. People are saying it's paying out less credits but I haven't noticed. That could be miss information. I've played for very little time and I received a trophy the other night, because I have 50 cars in my garage. I've only bought a few second hand cars and the rest were for completing races and challenges.
It is true about some cars being 20,000,000 and that is expensive, but that was the exact same in Gtsport. There are cars in Gtsport that I would have liked but I never had enough credit to buy them. I'll say one thing, I never once though for a moment I'll take out my credit card and buy this.
The asking price of €75 where I live is also very expensive and I'd always have liked to have gotten it cheaper but I don't regret it.
The micro transactions in GT7 are practically invisible and completely non intrusive. My advice is, buy the game, you won't regret it. That's a promise and if you can get it cheap go for it.
@Apfelschteiner No you didn't. Sorry if I was abrupt. What I picked up on is, you think that GT7 is being bought by people who don't really know what's going on which isn't the case. As far as I'm concerned this little internet hate campaign is well out of order and fueled by miss information and the truth being twisted. Sorry for being abrupt.
The thing is the masses are not ignorant in this case but it's the haters that are ignorant.
@Ggroot "The issue with micro transactions here is not that they are expensive or that anyone feels the need to bite. It ruins enjoyment of the best progression aspects of the game"
You haven't played GT7 coming out with a statement like that. Because that is absolute nonsense.
@Apfelschteiner
Yeah we're not all in the know like you, and we're crazy enough to make up our own minds as to what we spent our money on and to not believe every bit of nonsense the internet hate campaigns feeds us.
The thing is, you will never be expected to pay for a car with real money. A minority of internet loud mouths, fueled by click bait articles from unscrupulous sources have them up on their high horses talking poo.
The people review bombing GT7 are not fans of the series. They're doing it to feel important and self righteous. They know nothing about Gran Turismo.
@Welsh_Will The micro transactions thing is being blown out of all proportions. Anyone I know who actually has the game are very happy with it. The micro transactions are practically invisible. I will never use them and I never used them in Gtsport either.
@godofwarj5 It still is a great franchise. I've them all and GT 7 is the best I've ever seen. I always have internet in my house so it shouldn't ever affect me.
Micro transactions are also in Gran Turismo sport but no one is saying anything about that. The always online can't be helped unfortunately due to the world motorsport governing body the FIA.
Plus do people seriously believe they can play GT 7 for a couple of hours and be driving the greatest cars known to mankind, the top tier cars in the game. That was never the way in any GT game. You have to work for them baby's.
TBH I completed Demon souls and now I'm playing Dark souls remastered which is mind blowing, but I also find it a little overwhelming at times.
I'm taking a rest from the souls games for a while but I will play Elden Ring sometime in the future. I'll probably play DS2 and 3 first, so it's a long way away.
The only criticism I have of Dark souls remastered is it takes over your life, unlike any other game I ever played. I get up in the morning and it's what I'm thinking about. It's crazy.
I'm very hyped for Elden Ring, but whether I buy it now or later is the question. I have absolutely no interest in HFW. The reason is; I recently completed Demon souls on PS5, so I thought to myself "I'll play HZD in the run up to the released of HFW. HZD has been in my backlog for a few years and I never got round to playing it. I'm not joking after 3 hours I gave up due to boredom. It was probably a bad idea to play it directly after Demon souls. It was just too dumb for my liking. The whole thing seemed pointless. I love Killzone 2/3 and I love Killzone shadow fall where others didn't. I respect guerilla games but Horizon is not for me I'm afraid.
@smbeats Snap! I'm the same. I had a PS1 and had sold it, but as soon as I heard of Gran Turismo, I bought another that week along with the game. I bought into the concept immediately.
So it looks like things have gotten worse, rather than better. Year one they managed to produce 17.5 million console's, but year 2 they are going only making 11.5 million.
I came from Bloodborne first, then Demon souls on PS5 and I'm loving Dark souls remastered. I did think the graphics were pretty PS3 era and not great at first, but now as I go further into the game I'm seeing the beauty in the graphics. The graphics are amazing imo.
Cod day one game pass. Rip playstation. I'm joking.
Doesn't effect me in the slightest, I have no interest in Activision or cod. I think Sony buying bluepoint games and housemarque is a far smarter buy and healthier for the world of gaming.
MS are a monster who care nothing for anything but buying their way to the top. I genuinely hope they fail miserably. They can't even make decent games.

Your wrong. The PS4 remaster is going to get very old looking very quickly. Imagine what it'll look like is about 5 years? It's going to age.
Who's to say we will not see anymore remasters / remakes? A lot of people hope Bloodborne will get a remake.
