Re: Tetris Effect Gets Connected Multiplayer Expansion for Free on PS4 in August

Burntbreadman

@NateGoesLive
Business is business.
Its arguable that it was a bit of a douche to make it only avaliable on the PS4 at the start.

Looking forward to the update. I havent listened to any of the new multiplayer tracks, I want to be surprized.
Shame I probably cant experience it without the pressure of other players (then again maybe its playable in solo too)
Hopefully with new bespoke visuals to go with it (I frequently entered dream like state watching the visuals in VR)

Re: PS Plus August 2021 Games Include Hunter's Arena: Legends on PS5, PS4

Burntbreadman

I have no interest in battle royales bit the clip that I watched make it look more like a fighter (I understand thats their aim but I wouldnt guessed its a battle royale from that clip)

They are going to shoot themselves in the foot though.
It feels like most players dont download plus games unless its something they are interested in. If the game ever built traction it might be off ps +by then.
This meaning anyone that becomes interested would have to buy it and sub to ps+ to play.

If the put it to f2p, if it built traction anyone can download any play without forking out for the game or plus.

Its get the publicity from the plus at the start and hope its a success from that.....or be f2p andmake it a success via their own advertising/efforts

Re: Feast Your Eyes on PS5 Footage of Anime Adaptation Demon Slayer

Burntbreadman

I wish they would clarify the 'Story mode' more specifically what it actually consists off and the approx length.

Whether or not I buy the game depends on this. In the few seconds I can find there looks to be platforming/exploration......although it could just turn out to be a cutscene rendered in the games engine.

If there is actually some exploration, Im interested.
But if its just arena battles bookedned by cutscenes, its a hard no.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Free Update Adds Combat Lock-On, Option to Hide Quiver, and New Legends Mode

Burntbreadman

I put probably moe ehours into Legends than the main game itself.
It scratched that loot itch for a while.

I hoping the expansions is more missions opposed to 'raid missions' I barely touched them. I think people were just leaving on the 2nd raid mission (well the groups I was in just didnt know what was happening.....I watched some vids prior though. People just end up giving up and leaving.......it was too fustrating so I stopped trying)

Re: Move Your Body to the Beat in Synth Riders, Coming to PSVR on 27th July

Burntbreadman

I brought a Quest 2 for custom songs for BeatSaber and Audica but I find myself playing Synth Riders than both of them combined.

Custom songs play a big part though.
Synth Riders has the best mapped custom songs, Beatsaber has the quantity (you really have to dig around for quality) whilst Audica is somewhere in between.

As for those relying on the base game songs....Audica>Synth Riders>Beatsaber
Those that rely on base plus DLC Beatsaber>Audica>Synth Riders

I cant praise Synth Riders enough......I was on the fence on the game for months because of how it looked. But gameplaywise it just the better game for most players. (Audica is also fantastic but leans a bit more into the hardcore crowd a bit more. Beatsaber will always have the first successful VR title but in my eyes is the weakest of the three)

Re: Reaction: E3 Is a Relic Desperately Clinging to Relevancy

Burntbreadman

Decline for several years??......Ive been reading about the death of E3 since about 1997 (when CVG was still around)

Whist some see opening the doors to the general public has shown how far E3 has come.......I see it as a last attempt to try and make the show relevant.........milking as much money from suckers as it burns to the ground.

Re: Over 1,200 PS5, PS4 Deals Added to Indie Games Sale on PS Store

Burntbreadman

@thefourfoldroot
Yeah I came here to say this..

Lots of good stuff (but generally I only look at VR stuff as I pick up most titles retail)
PSVR people I recommend
Audica with 2019 DLC
Pistol Whip

Both titles I picked up full price and have enjoyed and still play (audica more)

Im interested Untill you fall and Room VR bith at their lowest ever prices but Im.I cheapskate.....waiting for it to drop to the sweet spot between £3.99- £5.99

Re: Returnal Team Out to Prove It's More Than Just the 'Resogun Studio'

Burntbreadman

Housemarque are one of my fav developers of last/and a bit of the preious gen.

I went through the effort of importing the Asian alienation (despite already having the digital version)
I had to dig hard to find a physical matterfall (it didnt seem to get a release in the UK? Ended up asking someone to pick it from a gamstop from their trip into Europe)

I doubled up on the LRG print of Nex Machina.

Unfortunatly I dont have Returnal yet (I still been unable to pick up a PS5 at no scalper price)
But it is the first PS5 title that made me really want a console.

Even as big Housemarque fan the £70 price tag puts me off a little. Nothing against Housemarque. But had the UK got the same kinda hike as US (so its £50-£55) it would have been a no brainer.

But this is the first gen since the Nes days where I havent jumped onto the next gen day one. (mainly to do with supplies but partly to do with price increases)
Probably one of the few reason I would have for moving to America

Re: Some PS5 Owners Are Still Waiting for Their PSVR Camera Adaptor

Burntbreadman

Contacting support wont help.
I regustered for mine on the 20/10 and got an email to say its been sent early Nov.
But Ive recieved nothing.

Ive been contacting via twitter and get a generic response of. There are some supply issues they cant tell you when you can expect to recieve it.

They cant tell if the sent email was sent to me by accident or not.
I got a gut feeling mine could have got lost in the post so when they do get them Ill still be recorded as having received one......urgh.

I dont even know what my options are urgh! Ask them the same question on twitter every week or to hope and pray one comes?

Re: Hitman 3's Deluxe Pack Seems Like Poor Value for Money

Burntbreadman

Yes its no where as good value.
But you gotto remember that IoI have now gone completly independent and dont have the same level of funding as before.

Its far cheaper to make some escalations than developing whole new maps (arguably escalation are worth no more that a freebie DLC in my eyes)

My advice is to ignore the Deluxe pack unless you want to support IoI as an independent studio......which you should.

Ironically they given away something somthing marginally superior "Patient Zero Campagn" for free where as before it was a bit expensive for what it is (provide you import any version of hitman 1)

Re: IO Interactive Is Having Fun with Hitman 3's Patch Notes

Burntbreadman

The joke kinda could be read in the wrong light which could deter potential buyers.

The series us know to have unlocks being only accessible when connected online.
For someone misreading the patch notes/or knowing how the online requirement worked in hitman 1/2 they could come to the conclusion that a persistant connection is needed to even start the game (ala vermintide and some other war hammer games)

Re: Hitman 3 Will Have Dark Souls-Esque Persistent Shortcuts to Discover

Burntbreadman

Its not drastically different from unlockable starting points but Ill take it anyways XD.....anything that gives me reason to really explore the map during the first run.

Probably my most wanted game in 2021 (after MH Rise)
But it more to do with the prospects of Hitman in VR more than the new hitman 3 levels.
That said the last two DLC levels in Hitman 2 are some of my favs in the first 2 seasons.

If they can keep up with this quality then hitman 3 should have some quality levels

Re: Reaction: Cyberpunk 2077 Debacle Proves Sony Needs a Better PS Store Refund Policy

Burntbreadman

@Shaun_p

Thing is it use to be easy to cancel a pre order on the PSN.
All you had to do was go to the games page and click on the cancel preorder button.

Provided the launch date hasnt benen reached (obviously) it was instantly canceled.
I paid with store credit at the the time and it was refunded back into my wallet.
I didnt havet to contact customer service or anything.

Why they changed this fpr pre orders I just dont know.

Re: Reaction: Cyberpunk 2077 Debacle Proves Sony Needs a Better PS Store Refund Policy

Burntbreadman

Im guessing Im one of the few people who believe it is what it is.
When you buy something without doing the research (pre order or after release) your taking that gamble.
Whether its talking about the quality of the game or simple you decide it isnt for you.

You never been to the cinema and watched a bad film?.........did you get a refund?

I took the kids to see the Jungle Book stage show and realized it was all original music (none of the songs from the film eg what the kids like) could I get a refund

Theres been a number of gigs where a member of a band had a last min replacement on a live show due to illness/family matters. Were refunds offered?

These were all situations which cost me more than the price of game.

Its that distinction between getting a refund because something you dont like it or you finished it that probably making Sony/Nintendo etc taking its stance of refunds.

Provided they offer refunds when the developer has said the game isnt "fit for purpose" offer refunds......and they do, I dont see an issue.

Doesnt the sale of goods act protect consumers (in the UK at least) from goods arent fit for purpose.....take them to court for your refund if your stuggling !

Re: SUPERHOT VR Gets in the Christmas Spirit with Boxing Day Update

Burntbreadman

The tracking was fine for me.
But at the same time Ive heard Ive hearing people having issues with tracking with not only this game but others.

On analysis the biggest difference seem to be camera placement (I have it on top of the TV.....which is actually mounted on the wall so pretty high.....way above the VR headset)
I found people that have tracking issues have it set on the TV stand which is way below the VR headset during play.

I know it might not be possiable for some but setting the camera looking down works wonders for tracking, not just for this game but other VR games

Re: Hitman 3 Gameplay Trailer Tours the World of Assassination

Burntbreadman

@nessisonett
I kinda felt the same. With Hitman 2 I kinda just did most missions suit only silent assassin and moved on.

The 2016 hitman I properly explored every level searching for every opportunity (and raising everything to level 20)

I think its because the progress didnt carry over to Hitman 2 (when downloading the legacy levels.) being the reason why I didnt put enough time into Hitman 2.......although the said it will carry to hitman 3 this time round........little too late as I moved onto other games.

Hitman 3 will be the game for me to fully explore past and present levels (not need to worry about stuff not carrying over to the next game.....its a trilogy right lol)

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update Arriving This Week

Burntbreadman

Its been pretty buggy for me. Missing raid memebers is the most common.
But the workaround is to call the raid near your longboat (or warp to it when the raid is over to open chests)

A number of glitching issues. Character spinning on a quick warp point then suddely dying as well as in the scenery.

I encountered a known issue with one mission which doesnt end.....luckly the game makes loads of quick saves that saved me.

Definitely buggier that the last two AC on launch.

Re: Control PS5 Upgrade Controversy Worsens as Owners Accidentally Get Free Access to Ultimate Edition

Burntbreadman

I dont under stand all the people say they are never going to pick a game from 505 game.
Ive had a great past with them in UK/EU back in PS2 Days they published all the Psikoy shooters, Wild arms 4/5, all the different Guilty gear revisions and even Rule Of Rose.

In the modern era theres probable been less sucess but I doubt without 505 Terraria would have got a general retail release.

Fair enough they had a bit of a debacle with the Bloodstained switch port and now Control. But Ill give them benefit of the doubt over Control as if it wasnt for them I would have missed out on so many titles no other publisher were picking up.

Re: PlayStation Store PSVR Spotlight Sale Is Packed with Great Deals

Burntbreadman

Pretty dissapointing sale at the moment stuff I want isnt on sale .....Just in time Inc / Blasters of the Universe.
I guess theres time for them to be added or a new batch added mid sale.

However anyone that doesnt have it I highly recommend the Audica and Season pass deal......best VR Game of last year (better than Beat saber for me)
Anyone that does pick it up make sure you check the add ons as they released 5-7 free songs that you have to manually add (not automatic via update)
