Pearl Abyss has revealed that Crimson Desert will offer PS5 Pro support through dedicated enhancements designed to make the ambitious title look and run better.

It is yet to confirm any graphical modes, so frame rates and visual settings are currently unknown, but a recent interview with Destin shares the upgraded Sony console will have its own slate of benefits over the base PS5 version.

The game went gold a few weeks ago, meaning work on the 1.0 version of Crimson Desert is now complete. Team Pearl Abyss has entered the "optimisation phase" of the title, which should conclude with a day one patch. More details on the graphical modes and what the PS5 Pro will offer will shall be revealed before launch on 19th March 2026. Though, it is confirmed by director Will Powers: "We do have PS5 Pro enhancement."

Ever since its re-reveal as a single player game, the open world experience has always appeared incredibly ambitious. Pearl Abyss is now starting to share how the game is, in fact, a reality through deep dive videos, of which another two will be shared soon. If you want the best performance possible once it drops next month, a PS5 Pro will be your best bet on console.
