Re: Interview: How a Dreams Side Project Evolved into Media Molecule's Next Game

Burntbreadman

It would have been cool if media molecule had regular Dreams Jams.

The team all could be working on the next title but one week every 6months the team breaks up in sub teams to create something in Dreams.

It would have broke the monotony that working on the same project for years can bring whilst giving the supporters of Dreams, that little treat (I know we have had a few bit sonce launch. But it would have been nice to have it at a more regular basis even if it means its not as fleshed out)

Re: PS Store Summer Sale Live Now, Get All the Best PS5, PS4 Deals Here

Burntbreadman

Hotel R n R is on sale again (finally).
I probably would have picked it up had it was discounted to at least its all time low pirce (or lower)

I just refuse pick up something knowing its previously been cheaper......theres always next time I guess (though if its going to be 12 months till its next sale.....Ive probably long moved on from the PSVR1)

Re: PS Store Summer Sale Live Now, Get All the Best PS5, PS4 Deals Here

Burntbreadman

Only brought the DJ Max Respect Extention 3 (it was a smidge more than what I wanted to pay in the previous sale) but its okish now.

I have all the DJ Max stuff now minus guilty gear (its not on sale and the unlock key)

Just browsing for anything else.
Kinda tempted by KOF but Im sure a complete edition will come eventually so Ill wait.

Re: The Sublime Hitman: World of Assassination Is Getting a Physical PS5 Release

Burntbreadman

Im not interested as I have 90% of the content but its probably nice for new players to know everything you get in this release

I believe buying the same titled release on steam (for example) is still missing content
Eg
Hitman 2 Season pass
Hitman 3 Season pass

Hitman 2 season pass is probably some of my fav locations across the whole trilogy (I never picked up hitman 3s as it didnt contain nee locations?)

Re: PS Plus, Game Pass Subscription Growth Has Totally Stalled in USA

Burntbreadman

I finally let my PS+ sub run out (after being on for 10 year?)

Dont get me wrong, its more than worth it for the games. But I only used it for online play......I dont have enough time to play the games in my backlog, let alone the games given away on the sub.

Street Fighter 6 almost got me to continue on with the sub. But I just avoided the title altogether (despite being day one for every SF game)

After SF IV and SF V season pass models (combined with all the Tekken/MK/Aksys fighters) Ive had enough of doubling or tripling up on re-releases so Im waiting for a more complete version......where Ill end up re subbing again (though MonHun World 2 will probably be the moment I resub)

I dont really have a complaing over SFV model. I only ever brought the first season pass and earnt enough in game currancy to purchase all the characters (and have left overs)

Re: PS5's Remote Play Portable Will Allegedly Launch in November

Burntbreadman

There was a time when I would have used a device like this (back when I was using the Vita to remote play - the main TV wasnt exclusively for me to use)

But then came the Switch to cover times when I couldnt use the TV. And now the Steam deck.

It makes it worse that you can remote play using most TVs/Tablets paired with a controller.

Feels like a product they should have pulled the plug on when they made the decision to allow remote play on most devices with a screen.

That said at the right price Id consider one (£99)

Re: Next Week's PS Plus Extra Lineup Has Been Changed Again

Burntbreadman

Its a shame.
Soundfall is sn amazing little title that doesnt get any of the attention that it deserves.

Twing stick shooter in time with the beat with a diablo lite loot system.
With a large and varied song list
(I just spent like £50 buying most of DJ Max Respect DLC songs in the sale........honestly on I like soundfalls vanilla soundtrack more than 80% of anything DJ Max can offer)

Re: This Android App Will Transform Your PS5, PS4 Remote Play Experience

Burntbreadman

Ive personally never really had an issue with remote play on a Vita (outside the fact that the touch screen need to be use for extra triggers....and the expected extra lag)

I found that remote playing direct to the console sometimes produces moments of pixilation but connecting via your router (PS4 wired) produced good results......good enough for destiny farming (when I used to play)

But most recently with Elden rings with farming loops.

Never could get remote play via a laptop working well though

Re: PS Plus Is Up to 85% Off for New Subscribers This Weekend

Burntbreadman

Wnyone remember how much the essential subs was last backfriday/christmas in the UK.

I have a month left and currently is £37.49.
I stacked subs for years so dont know if this is a good price anymore (or it it drops to £30 mark normally.....not too sure if they raised the sup prices at one point)
Im not in a rush really but I dont really need to resub (I havent touched plus games for a couple of years and I only play overwatch online....which is sub free now)
Only tempted if the price is good

Re: Mini Review: Synth Riders: Remastered Edition (PSVR2) - Back and Better Than Ever

Burntbreadman

Brought a Quest 2 purely for custom beat saber songs but snapped up synth riders on a whim (along with audica...though I already had audica on PSVR)

I still play Synth riders and Audica (2 years later) but I cant even remember when I last booted beatsaber.
Synth riders just feels more natural to me whilst Audica is where the challenge is best found (I come from a history of spending almost £1000 just for a controller to play beatmania)

The developers were super helpful on discord when I was having issues. And despite not all song packs appealing to me Ive continued to support them buying ones that do. (Muse, caravan, electro swing packs along with individual songs across the different pac)
Thats despite Custom songs still get regularly released for it.

I was worried about the controllers clashing for PSVR 2. On the Quest I stick my hands in the rings and I still clash them from time to time.

I have nothing against beat saber but Id recommend synth riders over it any day........unless your the type to feel a bit foolish when you start dancing on your own whith a vr headset on (You just wont be able to stop yourself "getting into a groove")

Re: Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Is Shaping Up to Be Seriously Spooky

Burntbreadman

I wasn't a fan of the last title that was released.
Maybe my memory is a little bit hazy about the first two titles but the last release had a bit too much find this location in the photo.

It was a bit needle in the haystack for me when I just struggled to remember where locations could be.

Ive heard that Mask of the Lunar is more highly regarded but after the last title I dont know if the series is for me. (Even if I have good memories of the first 2 titles........I just dont know if Im.viewing them via nostalgia lenses.)

Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Looks Like a PS5, PS4 Dark Horse This Packed 2023

Burntbreadman

Hope it rectifies the gripes I had with Nioh 2 (love the first enough to finish it on all difficulties whilst I struggles with one play through of Nioh 2)

The maps in Nioh 2 just felt really samey and had noting as memorable as the first (whether the first level trek to the boat, going through the cave to vampire lady, or the watery plank stage.........and that just in the first few locations)

Whislt my other gripe was in bosses being predominantly humanoid and uninspired in Nioh 2

Re: PSVR2 Was Designed in Parallel with PS5, Says Sony

Burntbreadman

@LukalumenUS

I would use rechargable AA batteries like I do with the Quest controllers and my TV remotes.

Thanks for letting me know that the official docks charge via the wall. I was gifted a random dock for moves (and navigation controllers....oviously stock from ps3 days) which charge via 2 USB ports on not via the wall.

I guess I probably should have looked into other docks instead of assuming it would be the same......you live and learn.

Even though I stll prefer AA soltution priovided they offer a dock fir sale that charge via the wall.....it wont be as big an issue as I first made it seem.......just hope they dont charge something ridiculous for the dock...... £30 would be reasonable

Re: PSVR2 Was Designed in Parallel with PS5, Says Sony

Burntbreadman

One thing that puts me off is batteries in the controller. I had to buy a seperate dock for the moves for PSVR which use two USB slots.

Generally I have one port charging my spare DS and the other used for my headset.
I can gurantee whenever I wanna play VR my moves are dead and I have to charge them (when you only have a couple hrs free a day.....it means I dont get to play)
Ive tried charging via a multitude of USB wall plug adapters (that match or are under a PS4 USB voltage but never had any success getting them to charge via a plug socket)
I so wished they went the AA batteries with the controllers.

Its not enough to stop me picking a PSVR2 but if they ever release sense controllers that use AA batteries....Id deffo would move over to them

Re: Resident Evil Village Is a PSVR2 Launch Game, And It's Free

Burntbreadman

One of the few RE game I didnt (and still havent) buy day one.

I was spoilt by VR in 7 and deliberately held off buying village because it wanted my first play through to be experienced in VR.
Now I just got to pick up a PS5 and PSVR2.........I was just waiting for a revised model (to be honest I was just waiting for a 2TB standard model)

Re: Returnal on PC Recommends Ridiculous Amount of RAM

Burntbreadman

@gollumb82
Dunno if your looking at the same page as me but an SSD is recommended on the mimimum specs section (though not on the recommend section.....presumably a typo)

Irrespective SSD have been pretty much standard for new builds for the past 6-7 years Id say.

Re: PSVR2 Has Another Game Confirmed for Launch Day

Burntbreadman

I wouldnt hold out for a free beatsaber update.
Quest 2 buyers buying the game on the occulus store have to make two seperate versions for the standaalone (quest 2 version) and the tethered version (PC/rift version)

Why this is significant is that other developers have been crossbuy (like in my eyes the superior synth riders)
So if Facebook......the owners of the Quest/Occulus store and beatsaber wont give its own customers a free cross buy (despite owning all parties involved).
Id say the chance of getting a free Beatsaber update for the PSVR2 will be minimal........unless Sony steps in to offer an incentive
......... (Which they may due to the pooularity of beatsaber)

Personally on topic.....Ive been on the fence with swordsman VR being what I understand to be a wave based sword fighting. (i dont like the repetition of wave based shooters generally so had the same feeling about swordsman vr)
However Ive also read they have be constantly tinkering away at the title and recently done an big rework of the combat. (I respect the commitment of the developers)
Whilst the time events both appeal to me (new weapons that play unique as rewards) but put me off.......FOMO.
The fact that Ive missed years of events that I dont know if they ever repeat is whats stopping me from buying it.
One day Ill look into it which will be the deciding factor if I buy it or not (if all events become avaliable all year round or at least historic events)

Re: Rumour: Tons of PSVR2 Devs Porting PSVR Games to New Headset

Burntbreadman

Ill take free.
But honestly Im not too fussed by most PSVR titles if they get a free upgrade or not.
Im quite happy with the performance of most on the PS4 PRO (even without sticks)

Chances are Ill keep my PRO as a mainly PSVR machine.

Only title Id be looking forward to an upgrade would probably be Hitman......with new more immersive controls and performance boost.

Re: Mini Review: Inscryption (PS5) - The Most Unique Game You Will Play All Year

Burntbreadman

I love the developers previous games (Pony Island and the Hex)
But some reason have yet to finish inscription......I stalled on the game because of the difficulty?
With the previous titles the difficulty was on par with a walking simulator.

As much as I liked the card game.....I often find myself against unfair odds. It doesnt help that I cant remember what all the map icons mean. Ending up on 'events' I dont get much benefit from.

Ill probably do a couple of run then get fustrated and not play for a while.

Whilst people rave on about the "first act".........I just want to get bloody past it.
Im sure it will click eventually and Ill love the title as much as the developers previous title

Re: Cult Fighting Game The Rumble Fish 2 Punches to PS5, PS4 Later This Year

Burntbreadman

I dabbled a bit of the original simply because I come up with a similar idea of an offensive and defensive super meter

I cant say I remember it fondly especially compaired to other atomiswave fighters.
I was prepared to give the sequel a shot but by that point my local arcades pretty much stopped investing in new machines.
And with no home port I shortly forgotten about it.

If its a budget release £15 - £25 tops Id probably pick it up. Otherwise Id probably wait untill it falls into that price range......but probably be put off by review by that point

Re: Synth Riders Is Celebrating a Milestone with a Brand New Update

Burntbreadman

I picked up a Quest 2 pretty much custom Beat saber and Audica songs.

But honestly I havent returned to beat saber ever since picking up Synth Riders (but I have to Audica here and there)

I tend to cherry pick a few songs for most pack releases (minus the punk set?)

Honestly Id put it above Beatsaber and at least on par with Audica. But probably would recommend Synth Riders over Audica.
Synth Riders is just as fun on the lower difficulties as the harder ones (prob a tad more fun on Hard/Expert vs Master)
Audica doent really feel as fun till your playing on Expert (maybe the 2nd hardest ....advance?)
Both still are great.....just depends if your willing to put the effort to get to that 'in the zone, awesome feeling'

Re: Insanely Deep PC Strategy Game Rim World Comes to PS4 Next Month

Burntbreadman

@themuckman
PC version is £27.79 so......for a developer so insistent of not under cuttin Early backers with sales.......you would expect them to have price parity between console/PC.
I guess thats what happens when you get an external party to port.

Oh well if theres ever a physical release, retailers will cut the price at least (not that it will affect me because reading reviews PC is the way to go because of mods)

Re: Insanely Deep PC Strategy Game Rim World Comes to PS4 Next Month

Burntbreadman

Its been on my wish list for a number of years (post early access) But the developers stance on making it fair by never putting it sale lower than the EA price (eg never been on sale with more than 10% off)......ment I havent snapped it.

From what I read the console version only contains one of the two DLC. So its going to be interesting to see its price. Whther overall it will be the same price or more.
From what I can gather the games popularity stems largely through the modding scene, so its unlikely to gpicj up the console version.

But if the console release and the eventual discounts can spur the PC version to get more than 10% off, then Ill be happy

Re: Rumour: Sony Poised to Reveal 'Perfect for PS5' Gaming Monitors

Burntbreadman

@tofuman86
The PSP Go was great (I still use it from time to time over ny original PSP)
It was ahead of its time going digital only......now if the TV's were that forward thinking, they will be great.

To be fair the headsets kinda appeal to me (but only eliminated because of the PSVR2)
Whenever the main TV is being used, Ive been known to switch to play the game on a PSVR/or Play a PSVR game.
It would be kinda useful in that situation but presuming the PSVR2 will have the same feature as standard.....then they are headsets are DOA.

Id probably prefer a wireless remote play on a different TV dongle (current remote play lags too much and has too much artifacts......though it could be my 100mbps unpload 20mbps download causing it)

Re: The Last of Us: Part I Compares Tess on PS5 vs. PS3 Model, and the Results Are Impressive

Burntbreadman

It loooks better than the first batch of comparison pictures of Ellie and Ellie and Joel.
The Ellie on her own picture I was like.....which is the remaster?
The Ellie with Joel in the car......remaster is a bit better but honestly it was a minor bump.
(The honestly made me think it wasnt even worth bothering with a rmake)

This Tess has don a lot to reverse my initial thoughts of the remake

Re: Street Fighter 6 Reinvents Itself on PS5, PS4 in 2023, Has a Single-Player Campaign

Burntbreadman

Season passes put me off knowing SFV had 5 years worth of the stuff.
And im one of the few that actually praised the how SFV handled it! Playing from launch I earnt enought ingame FM to buy all the extra characters without forking a penny (though I was gifted the forst years pass)
And thats generally casually playing a few matches a week (out side of new character launches)

Ive gone from did hard fighting game fan (for 25 years) that goes through all the lengths to import as much as I can (slap happy rhythm busters anyone? Rumble Fish?)
To somone that doesnt even pick up the big hitters at launch.
No Guilty Gear strive, KOF or melty blood for me....heck Im still waiting for a MvC Infinite complete edition!

Re: Resident Evil Village Getting PSVR2 Support

Burntbreadman

Waiting finally paid off! The first mainline RE title I didnt pick up and finish on launch. I deliberately avoided watching anything on village because I wanted to experience it in VR (How could I not after RE7)

Now Im rewarded and get into experience it completly fresh and in VR......Im hoping more than a straight port and included more VR like controls (eg more RE 4 than RE 7)
Thought I think thats a bit too hopefull with just, takes advantage of the sense controllers instead of takes advantage of the PSVR2 controllers being mentioned

Re: Mutant Year Zero Dev Announces Miasma Chronicles for PS5, Out in 2023

Burntbreadman

@BearsEatBeets You will hit a wall if you play it like any other tactical game.......its really more like a turn based stealth game. (If you go in guns blazing your going to die)

Im on the fence.....I did kinda liked MYZ to some extent but it was more because I enjoyed that weird satisfaction of clearing a zone. But less so the actually process.

It was very one one note.....find a solitary target.....used silenced weapons......hog rush them (knock them down) silence weps till they are dead (mind control if you need that extra turn)
Then repeat on the next solitary enemy.

Deviating from the tactic just results the whole zones enemies descend on you....resulting you get bodied.

I havent written off their new game just yet, deffo would wait for a few reviews to see if it end up what felt like a turnbased stealth game or something more varied

Re: Green Hell VR Welcomes You to the Jungle on PSVR2 in 2023

Burntbreadman

Ive been following the PC version where they release a cut down quest version so far (but a full blown release this month sometime)

The only reason why I havent snapped up the quest version (aside from wanting the full non abbreviated area version) is simply due to a lack of cross buy confirmation

Would have been nice to mess around with the quest version prior to the full PC version.

The announcement of the PSVR version didnt come as a surprise due to how popular and well recieved the quest version has been.

But I doubt the PSVR version will be £22.99
Ill probably be snapping the Pc version as soon as the cross buy is confirmed......and I get my next 30% off Oculus voucher XD

Re: RPG Outward Gets Definitive Edition on PS5, Out Next Week

Burntbreadman

@Rob3008 The game reaches for a level of ambition on Skyrim levels.
When you realise was the studios first game and then realise its made up of like 10 employees(Was 10 employees a while ago)

I think the Skyrim had 10 "graphic programmers" in their team alone.

You can probably understand why the game has a certain level of jank in all areas

Re: RPG Outward Gets Definitive Edition on PS5, Out Next Week

Burntbreadman

@Gatatog I probably would have sanapped up that deal.....problem is I actually supported the dev day one both worth base game and the first DLC.

I only found out about the definitive edition a few months ago but I never ever wanted to buy the 2nd DLC (not my cup of tea)

The 2nd DLC along with the complete collection were both on sale just a few weeks ago. I couldnt find out if I just brought the DLC if Id get the definitive edition (having a retail base game) And I didnt want to bay for the base + DLC 1 again based off principal (if only PSN was like steam where you get money off if you own some items in a bundle.......or give me extra copies so I can gift it to someone)

Im just going to have to wait for launch and see if anyone is in the same boat.......then wait for a sale again lol
