Re: RPG Outward Gets Definitive Edition on PS5, Out Next Week

Burntbreadman

Maybe pushsquare can get the info from nine dot studios from me (I give up)
I was aware of the free upgrade for a while but Ive been strggling to find out if Disk owners are eligiable (if they purchase the DLC)

The obvious answer should be yes but you can never be too sure how the PSN system works (whether it recognizes you own the base game if you have it physically)

Re: Disgaea 6 Complete Gets a Meaty PS5, PS4 Overview Trailer

Burntbreadman

@RawnDawn. I thought the auto battle was fantastic on the switch version where I would set it to grind when I was making food, which led to leaving it on when I popped out for an hour to walk the dog..........which led to leaving it on when I was in work.......then when I was sleeping.

I thought what the hell am I doing! I regret using it at all as it killed post game for me (which on is probably a good thing as it allows me to move onto other games)

Re: PS Vita's PS Store Says Content Is No Longer for Sale

Burntbreadman

I feel like its more of a glitch than anything else.
I literally downloaded games on my VITA two days ago.
I continued to do so and I got a content isnt avaliable from late last night (the moment you click on the store)

Saying that the Vitas power blocks are shocking. Ive had two break on me somehow (I actually thought the battery was busted as it wasnt charging)
Luckly some generic USB plug worked fine for me (despite reading that people had issues)

My issues that some games arent even installing bringing up error codes (firmware is up-to-date)
Some rectified themselves on rebooting the machine (crypt of the necrodancer) but others didnt (I lost track what didnt install)

Re: How to Get a Free PS5 PlayStation Camera Adaptor for PSVR

Burntbreadman

I gave up trying to get an adapter.

The problem is I got the confirmation sent mail towards the Christmas. I got a feeling it got lost in all the Christmas post.

6 months later after contacting via twitter and wasting hours on the phone (covid days....no estimate on answering times)
I got a email to say an adapter has been sent!

End of story.....so I thought.......it never arrived. Tried contacting them again just to see if I didnt just put a typo in my address but I just got a call the help line.

I already wasted that much of my time and money in holding on the line previously that I could have brought multiple adapters if they just put them on general sale.

I literally given up at this point unless they start selling them separately.

Re: PS5, PS4 Exclusives May Get Worse if Free with PS Plus Day One

Burntbreadman

I pretty much agree.
By putting AAA 1st party games on the service at launch ends up being a numbers game to try and trump Microsoft in numbers and have a knock on effect in quality.

But you would also either alienate traditionalists buying retail copies or worse yet cannibalize into their own retail sales.

I can however see them putting weekend trails at launch and perhaps adding them when sales stagnate (or 6 months after release)

Reading between the lines I can see they might make a studio or 2 for "GaaS" games which would be added on the service on launch.
These games live and die by the community so need all the help they can get.....and retail sales lost on these titlese would just be made up by microtansaction anyways.

Re: GTA 5 PS5 Promos Can Only Be Claimed on a Console

Burntbreadman

Its kinda a iffy move especially they got the extra coverage whilst the plus games were announced. (Not that im interested)
For something thats largely the same for the 3rd gen in a row, you would think anyone thats had it would probably had their fill by now.

They would probably make more by making it f2p and relying on making the money via micro transactions........f2p would potentially be a fresh set of customers fir them to bleed (aka customer who would never buy a GTA but will be willing to give a f2p title a shot)

Re: Elden Ring IP to Expand 'Beyond the Realm of Games'

Burntbreadman

@Skratm To be fair Im talking my time too.
I didnt face Margit till past the 30hrs mark......but I wouldnt say its a lack of skill (I kinda felt a bit overleveled by Margit.....think I was close to the level 59 mark by then)
Theres just so much to explore that unless you keep losing runes......its hard not to feel a bit overleveled.

I didnt really want to explore all the caves/catacombs later when Id probably one shot everything.

I never really compelled to dig into FromSoftware games lore so......expanding the IP would be wasted on me (outside games)

Re: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure the Big Winner from Sony's State of Play

Burntbreadman

Its better than having a sequel to Eyes of Heaven (trash arena battle)........but the original was still a pretty low tier fighter.

Unless they do some serious overhauling its just going to be just a game for fans only.
I was hoping after the success of DBZ Fighters they would have got arc system to develop a JoJo game........looks like that aint happening still.

Ill still pick up the title but Im not expecting it to be great

Re: Valkyrie Elysium Revives the RPG Series on PS5, PS4 in 2022

Burntbreadman

Im a fan of the series but......ewe........they seemed to have gotten rid off everything that made it unique.

I can deal with the change in perspective (despite being generic looking now)
But the change in combat is disappointing.......Im hoping they are holding surprises back

We have had a number of titles (super neptunia/that one made by some people from the skillgirls team)
that try to emulate VP battle system.
Every one has ended up being a pale imitation that lacks the nuances of the VP battle system.

Ill still pick the title up but Im not expecting much off it based on the trailer

Re: PS Plus March 2022 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

Burntbreadman

Geeez. .....the number of people complaining abot GoT Legends not being the full game.........its a bonus.
You got your two PS4 title in Ark + Sonic and Ghostrunner for PS5

For what its worth I spent more time in Legends than the base game. It was a nice loot based bonus to the main game.

Re: Over-the-Top Crime Caper Sam & Max: This Time Its Virtual Targets PSVR

Burntbreadman

Id snap it up day one had it been a retail release.
But I refused to pay more than £6-7 for digital titles XD.......so it will be a wait till Ill pick this up (That said The room VR was cheap enough this week for a purchase XD)

(I am a bit of a hypocrite though cause I brought Zenith on the Quest 2 last week for £15ish........supposedly excellent game that I happen to have a 30% code sent to me........couldnt resist)

@nessisonett I gave up on the adaptor after chasing it for 10 months moving heavy TV set up to get serial numbers and the like.

In the end they said I had to ring them ......after multiple on hold calls for 1+ hrs, I gave up (was in lock down time)

Re: Babylon's Fall Demo Makes or Breaks on PS5, PS4 Later This Month

Burntbreadman

I was interested in the game simply because of Platinum games involvement (would have picked it up day one)
But when I looked into it and saw no offline mode it was an instant. I just cant get myself into playing games which will just stop working one day when they switch the servers off.

Its made worse due to the lack of interest (ie its could end up one where the servers shut sooner rather than later.........hey if watchdogs 3 only manages what 2 years......the lifespan of Babalon Falls is just too unknown to take a risk for me)

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Dying Light 2?

Burntbreadman

Pretty much agree on a 7 (probably 20-25 hrs in)
I pretty much your standard open world game but with admittedly great parkour (I say it does it better than mirrors edge......well at least when you start unlocking skills and "stuff")

Side missions were actually decent(in story ....gameplay doesnt deviate)....one involving a dog sticks out.

Theres a bit of puzzles in unlocking "areas" to break up the rest of game. And some safe cracking which makes you actually pay attention to collectables.

But every thing is just a pretty standard open world game......does what it says on the tin but nothing more.

Playing on a PRO I keep on getting audio drop outs which means a portion of the time.I have no idea on what/why I doing something in a quest.

I get a feeling Ill probably feel similar about Horizon.....(the standard open world affair.......As long I dont expect more......I guess it will be a serviceable but predictable ala DL2)

Re: Sony Removing PS Now Subscription Cards in UK Ahead of Supposed PS Plus Overhaul

Burntbreadman

Its great for the netflix gen.
But it wont really affect people that like to hoard retail releases (ie me)
I dont even have enough time to go through what I buy (let alone plus titles)....so I wont be paying more for a combined sub.

I only have my Ps plus sub for multiplayer.......so if the do merge them together (for a higher annual fee)
I hope they introduce a new lower multiplayer only sub (or wishful thinking.....free again........for the players XD or whatever their slogan is)

Re: Hitman 3 Will Be Getting a Second Year of Content

Burntbreadman

@get2sammyb @nessisonett
I pretty much disagree too.
The DLC maps in Hitman 2 (New York/the island) are still some of the best maps in the series.
New maps was what Hitman fans wanted not seasons (as paid DLC) Seasons was closer to the free themed mission added to Hitman 1/2 (The Chrismas one, the movie set etc)

Re: UK Sales Charts: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Dances Into the Bestsellers

Burntbreadman

Im liking it but it suffers a similar problem with a load of titles that have a "detective view"
I end up spending as much time in the "detective view" as I do out. (prob a me problem)

Kudos to the insane accesibility options.....how many other games can you change the sound EQ?!

Only way it could be better is to make "detective mode" in normal view (just make destroyables/collectables more obvious - scans are are entirely different an can remain in "detective mode"

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Your PS Plus Games for November 2021?

Burntbreadman

You literally get 3 of the best PSVR titles you can get all in the same month.

For anyone that has a PSVR and are missing the titles......its pretty insane (probably the best month for PS+ ever.....thats before you add in the regular titles)

Unfortunatly I have them all.......sigh I was hoping for some "lesser VR titles to be given".

Re: Synth Riders Gets New Song, Mode in Latest Update

Burntbreadman

I play synth riders 2-3 times a week at least but on the Quest 2.
A decent stream of custom songs just keeps me playing the thing (I havent touched beat saber and Audica since.....even with custom songs on them)

This new mode was unexpected (though probably not for me.......I barely like moving from wall for most songs)

Re: Kena: Bridge of Spirits Grabs Physical Version in November

Burntbreadman

@Voltan the fact you cant even pre-order from their own EU site makes you wonder if is getting a EU physical release at all (you would think it would be the first place to allow/mention the release)

Generally I only can be certain when you can order of amazon and theres boxart with the PEGI rating on. (even then it can go pear shaped....eg Binding of Isaac got preorders went live and the US release came and passed.......it was like a year later than the US physical release eventually)

Re: Kena: Bridge of Spirits Grabs Physical Version in November

Burntbreadman

@Voltan @LiamCroft no offence but when the article only has "$" and "avaliable from usual retailers"......being physical release worldwide wanst really that clear.

Especially with companies like Aksys existing where outside US its a bit hit and miss whether they get a physical print.

Had I not scrolled down the comments I probably still would have assumed the same.

Re: Mini Review: Synth Riders (PSVR) – A VR Rhythm Game with a Different Sound

Burntbreadman

I brought a Quest 2 purely for custom songs for beatsaber. I ended up doubling up on Audica too for its custom songs (I probably liked Audica even more than beatsaber on PSVR)

I ended up picking Synthriders (after seeing it on a tab on sideloader that the game had custom songs)
I must admit the game looked a bit less polished and "messy/clustered" (in how notes appeared) so put the game in the maybe on sale pile.
The producers then released a demo for the game (on sideloader) which I tried.

I brought the game the same day.
I pretty much play the game daily now and love it more than both Beatsaber and Audica combined (literally havent booted them up since buying synth riders despite having so many custom songs to go through)

Movement is just flows smoother than the other games giving it a more "groovable" feel too it. Makes you feel like the next stricktly king/Queen ! (whilst still probably looking like a demented chicken to on lookers XD)

A must play!
However if you own just a PSVR (No custom songs)
Id say Audica with the season pass still trumps Synth Rider with its season pass (just.....but thats probably personal song preference)

If you on it on the PC Id say its the other way round as synth rider custom songs seem to have better polish.

Re: PS4 Metroidvania Death's Gambit Gets Gigantic Overhaul with Free Afterlife Update

Burntbreadman

I loved the game the first time (probably more than Blasphemous and on par with Ender Lilies)

But with so much to play and so little time, I dont know if I can spare time for a new play through (although there does seem to be more than enough to warrant another playthrough.

The expansion has been long time comming and looks to be well worth its wait. So thanks the developers for that........if the Switch ever gets a physical release with everything on Ill defo pick it up (for my collection)
But whether I can be bothered to dig out my PS4 game to replay......we will have to wait and see what Im doing when it comes to PS4
