I’ll probably wait until next year, after a few games have dropped. It’s not that I’m not eager to get my hands on one, it’s just that I’d like to finish off a reasonable chunk of my PS4 backlog before delving into a new console.

I’m really hoping for a Western release. PS5 Royal has been consuming all of my gaming time of late. Brilliant game.

I managed 8 out of 15. I still fire the old PS2 up once in a while. There are still plenty of games in that huge library I haven’t experienced.

I’ve got enough of a backlog of great games to keep me going all the way into 2021. Time to start whittling down the pile!

Definitely one I want to check out. Love the presentation. Looks really promising.

Am I the only one that’s getting weary of talk of game streaming? I’m sure it will be a significant factor in gaming’s future. But I feel pretty confident that other methods of content delivery, like digital downloads, aren’t going to vanish. Right now, my main focus is on the current and immediately upcoming generation of video games. I think Stadia’s performance has amply demonstrated that game streaming still needs more time in the oven.

I’ve got a backlog on my Sega Genesis, so....yeah, I can handle waiting. Plenty of good stuff to keep me occupied.

Cyberpunk, Resident Evil 3, and DOOM Eternal.

I have to admit that I was intrigued by Submersed. The idea of navigating a flooded offshore facility, trying to dodge ravenous sharks sounds like a solid survival horror concept on paper. Apparently the execution left a lot to be desired.

I’m reasonably sure that a great many PS4 owners have experienced the first three Uncharted titles. But for those that haven’t, getting the Collection for free is honestly fantastic.

Maybe this was a piece of deliberate coding from the Visual Concepts staff. “Look, I know it’s trash. You know it’s trash. By New Year’s, the whole world will know it’s trash. So, let’s just put this in there and shut the thing down on January 1st. Save everybody any further misery.”

Death Stranding is phenomenal. I’m really enjoying my time with it. But secretly, I’m pulling for The Outer Worlds to snag the big prize. But...I could certainly live with a Resident Evil 2 win.

Death Stranding. Still working to bring America together. After that, either Fallen Order or Outer Worlds.

This decade, The Witcher 3, hands down. The only experience that came close to rivaling it for me was Red Dead Redemption 2.

I’ve got to admit I love Wreckfest. I was a little late to the party picking it up, but I’ve been having an absolute blast with it. The damage modeling is phenomenal, and occasionally side-splittingly funny.

I have to confess, I actually had forgotten about the Division 2. Just like this article says, it seems as if it essentially plummeted out of sight a few months after release. Between it and Breakpoint, it doesn’t seem to have been the best of years for the Tom Clancy franchise.

Very nice list. Glad to see Resident Evil 2 so high up there. You nailed that one on the head. Mr. X absolutely makes that game.

I have to admit, it’s been awhile since I thought about the Sly Cooper games. I especially loved the PS2 installments. I’d definitely like to see the series revived.

Oh, wow. A new Syphon Filter would be aaammmaaaazzzziiiinnnggg. I played the hell out of the original on the PS1. Here’s hoping.

My first Sony console was the original PlayStation, and I have a number of happy memories tied to it. But the PS2 remains my favorite. There were so many great games in that library that remain solid gaming experiences today.

That said, I’ve had a blast with the PS4.

I’m really glad that wrestling fans have Fire Pro Wrestling World to fall back on, but this is truly terrible. I honestly feel badly for all of the WWE fans that purchased this and received a broken product for their money.

If it proves to be true, it would be amazing if it’s crafted with the same level of quality as the RE2 remake was. I certainly hope that it’s real, but I’m not going to allow myself to get hyped until we get an official confirmation from Capcom.

I’ll admit that I held back on preordering this primarily because of EA’s prior track record with the license. That said, I’ve still been hoping that Respawn could pull off something special and it sounds as though they’ve managed to succeed on the whole, My plate’s pretty full at the moment, but I definitely plan on picking this up after the holidays.

I hope the online community is just as welcoming and positive as they are on PC.

Definitely interested. I really like the visual style of it. Plus...Perlman is just plain awesome.

I keep forgetting this is even out there in the works until the occasional news story about it pops up. After experiencing the original, I’m still a little amazed that a sequel was greenlit at all.

Death Stranding, Medievil, and NHL 20.

Wow. Really well said. It’s astoundingly easy to get pulled into the spiral of negativity that finds such a strong voice on the ‘net. We all need to take a step back once in a while and appreciate everything that we have access to these days as gamers. It truly is amazing.

I hate to say it, but anything involving one of these storied sci-fi “creature” franchises (i.e. Alien, Predator, Terminator) almost immediately prompts a cynical “let’s wait and see” attitude from me. For every AVP Classic/Alien: Isolation that we get, it seems like there’s a number of other games that range from “forgettable” to “awful”. Colonial Marines being the most egregious example.

I can remember having a blast with Terminator: Future Shock back in the nineties, and I would love to have another franchise outing of that quality on modern hardware. But...I’m waiting for a few solid reviews before I get my hopes up too much.

Medievil. I might throw in some NHL 20 and MK 11 in there as well.

I love the Diablo series, but I’ll admit that this news gives me pause. Not so much for the open world aspect. I can support a non-linear narrative structure. But the whole “games as service” model hasn’t been one that I’ve greatly enjoyed. I hope there’s some accommodation for players who just want to experience a single player campaign. If not, I’m not certain if I’ll take the plunge with this new chapter.

This is now one of my favorite reviews on the site - of all time. I love that one of the cons is that “MyCareer has a beginning”.

Between this review and the recent story trailer, I find myself really looking forward to this experience. Everything points to it being a rewarding undertaking for players.

I’ve read elsewhere that the patch weighs in at 10GB. Yeah...that’s a lot of fixes.

Question: Do these sales charts include pre-orders? I can’t help wondering if WWE 2K20 benefitted from its core fan base who pre-order it every year. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t be shocked if it plummets out of the top ten next week.

Either way, I’m really happy to see The Outer Worlds and Medieval do so well.

You know, I’ve been teetering back and forth about this title since it was announced, but this review pushed me in the direction of a purchase. Sounds like a phenomenal RPG.

You know, bugs aside, 2K May have to delay this thing so that the ESRB can make certain they’ve given the title the right rating. WWE 2K20 - Rated M for Mature.

The pinfall thing isn’t a glitch. When you first install 2K20, you’re asked if you’re a fan of AEW. If you answer “Yes”, the only time referees count out on pinfalls is when it’s the player who’s pinned.

I’m really glad these games are now available for folks who haven’t had the chance to experience them on PC. True classics.

Total train wreck. I can hardly wait for the moment online when someone puts up gameplay footage of this side by side with Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 and people won’t be able to tell the difference.

This just has “potential tragedy” written all over it. Some dedicated 76 player who hasn’t read the news about the helmet is going to be wearing the thing while playing, and succumb to respiratory illness in the midst of imagining how much better the wasteland will be when the NPC update finally arrives.

That news sure reversed my interest in a hurry. Are traditional, closed ended single player campaigns becoming a thing of the past?

Man, I’m really on the fence about this one. But I think I’m going to hold off. Wait for a drop in price before I take the plunge.

Jedi Outcast is a blast. Loved it back in my college days. So glad to hear it’s coming to PS4.

I have to admit, I find The Witcher world entrancing. A new game focusing on another protagonist, like Ciri, would be welcome.

Reviews for this seem to be all over the place, ranging from “great” to “awful”. Given my love of Until Dawn, I’m going to go ahead and gamble and see what the experience is like for myself. Granted, I may end up having to admit that I wasted my money, but I’ve been curious about this title since it announced, so I’m willing to take the chance.

I own Arkham Knight. It’s not my favorite of the series, but it offers quite a bit of fun for those who haven’t given it a shot. I hadn’t gotten around to picking up Darksiders III, but I really enjoyed the first two installments, so I’m glad to have the chance to play the third game.
