The Witcher 4

CD Projekt Red has at least hinted at this before, but now the developer has come out and basically said "hey, we're definitely going to make more Witcher games". As Polygon writes, the company's latest financial report confirms that it's moving to a "dual-franchise" model going forward. This means that it'll be working on both Cyberpunk and The Witcher at the same time.

This news comes as no real surprise. CD Projekt Red has expanded significantly since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt back in 2015. It's opened new studios and brought on hundreds of additional employees in that time.

As for when we'll actually hear of the next game in The Witcher series, we don't know. Cyberpunk 2077 is still set to release in April 2020, and obviously, next-generation consoles are expected to arrive before 2021. It'll likely be at least a couple of years until we get any Witcher news then, but hey, when it comes to CD Projekt Red, we're more than willing to wait.
