If I'm being honest, I don't think it deserves all the praise. Nor does it deserve the hate. The game was solid, at best.
It was just too preachy with "killing is bad. Violence is evil." Yet throwing all these upgrades and crafting to literally have you kill dozens of people in ridiculously fun video game way. I don't mind the approach to open up conversations like this within the media but it has to be done right. MGS 3 and Deus Ex are examples of this. Because, yes, they bring up the notion of killing and using our new found technology to kill, but within the gameplay you are given the CHOICE of your actions. I could play Deus Ex without killing anyone, or I could kill everyone I see. The choice is mine. And the moral notion of murder is always present in your mind because of this. In TLoU2 I don't have a choice most of the time. Sure, you can stealth some areas, but you can't force me to kill all these people and be like "you monster! Bloodlust is wrong!" when you didn't give me a choice in the matter.

Anyway, just my two cents that no one asked for.

I'm more of controller in hand console gamer, but if need be; I'll just play their games on my PC rather than buying an Xbox for them.

God of War easily number 1. I dont think The Last of Us 2 should be up that high, though. Didn't hate it, but certainly didn't love it.

This game is pretty stellar.

I mean, Sony has set itself up nicely with how successful they were with the PS4. I truly believe that the 4 is arguably one of the greatest consoles to have ever hit the market. Its incredible 1st party library is unmatched and I don't think anyone else has ever come close to it. Big kudos on this gen, so they just need to ride that momentum.

I feel Sony did much better. Xbox wasn't a bad showing at all, but the games Sony showed were just better.

I'd still subscribe. I like having 2 "free" games to play each month, because it really opens up my library.

Not bad. I'd put God of War at number 1, and Persona 5 Royal (which is exclusive) at the 2 spot.

Enjoyed the Last of Us 2 in terms of gameplay and detail, but I didnt dig the story enough to say it's a top 3 game. It was too messy for my taste.

It's just hard to believe that both- the PS4 and the Xbox (whatever that ridiculous name is) are both coming out in a matter of months and yet pre orders aren't open, and we don't even know the prices of both machines.

I don't know...it makes sense that they cut it. If they were to have kept it in, then the game would have felt like it were just dragging its heels in the final act. What they had at the farm was just enough. Anything more, I would have been annoyed by it. Like a film that just doesn't want to end.

Will start up Fallout 4 on PS4. Played it when it came out on Xbox One, but I decided to grab it on the PS4 because of the trophies...and because it's a fun game.

Never played Erica, so nows a good as time as ever to do that. I played RotTR on xbox when it came out, but I can go and play it again for the trophies.

Honestly; and this is going to sound silly but, Sackboy. Littlebigplanet is one of my favorite game franchises of all time and I didn't think they'd ever make another one, so I'm stoked!

Been rocking the Dreams theme for a minute now. Don't see my self changing it soon.

Glad that first party games will still be a big part of the Playstation brand going into the new gen.

Playing as Joel gave the first game that special touch. He was so rough and brutal. It gave the gameplay that extra tense feeling to it.
