Sony has gone and done it again and announced the new PlayStation 4 titles coming to PlayStation Plus next month early. For the month of July 2020, PS Plus subscribers can look forward to three games. Those are Erica, NBA 2K20, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Remember, you can find a full list of all free PS Plus games in 2020 through the link.

All three of these titles received strong reviews on Push Square, but we'll begin with Rise of the Tomb Raider, which earned an impressive 8/10 in our review:

Rise of the Tomb Raider is the complete package for both newcomers and series veterans. Barring some wonky gunplay, the base game is superb, with its sublime exploratory mechanics, wonderful semi-open world hubs that deliver tons of side content, and sensational graphics. Lara's Nightmare does feel like a bit of a throwaway, but Blood Ties and the Baba Yaga DLC are more than worth your time if you want to stray away from the main adventure. Lara Croft is back where she belongs, and you owe it to yourself to join the 20 year celebration and get back to some tomb raiding.

NBA 2K20 received similarly positive praise in our 7/10 review, although we did criticise the overemphasis on microtransactions:

NBA 2K20’s absurd production values put it alongside MLB The Show 19 as the most convincing sports game on the market, and its under-the-hood gameplay improvements mean it’s the best-playing basketball simulation ever made. With a dizzying array of modes and options, including a reasonably well-written single player campaign featuring a Hollywood cast, this is a bulky package that will keep you on-court for potentially hundreds of hours. The title’s tone-deaf approach to microtransactions is the only real downside, then, and while they have been dialled back a touch, it’s still difficult to ignore their ugly presence in practically every facet of the package.

And finally, we described Erica as an "FMV masterclass" in our review, awarding it an impressive 8/10:

Erica is an intriguing, admirable experience that those looking for something a little outside of the video game norm will surely latch on to. With an impressive set of performances, a story that’ll have you hooked straight from the off, and meaningful decisions that have a major impact on the game, FMV is making waves all over again.

So, that's three great titles to celebrate the service's 10th anniversary. "It’s been a memorable journey over the years, bringing gamers together and providing access to compelling content and exclusive discounts for our members. We wouldn’t be here without all of you, so as a thank you, we wanted to make this upcoming monthly games announcement extra special by adding a bonus game to our incredible lineup," Sony said. These titles will be available to download from 7th July through until 3rd August.
