Surprised they are using the colors of the quicktime buttons, considering there is no color anymore with the new PS5 controller. I liked the white button presses of games such as Last Of Us Part2.
Looks good anyway.

I'll just wrap a plastic bag over the console, that way no cleaning required.

Instead of Sony gloating, just show the UI to us all. Only 5 or so weeks left and still no indication of the UI. There has been way too many closed doors on the PS5, almost like cloak and dagger stuff.

Wonder if the same people that don't like the new models would say the same if it was a free upgrade?

Won't be preordering. Preordered Spiderman originally on PS4, where they gave me a lot of free skill points as a bonus. It made the game way too easy, and I felt a lack of satisfaction of progressing.

With the new prices of PS5 games, I'm going to stick with the standard edition for all from now on.

Well Sony should cease any further PC development for any of their 1st party games.

It's dissapointing but fair enough as well. The game is a few years old now but it would have been better if they showed a side by side comparison and state it's a paid remaster upfront at the beginning of it all.
It would also be better if the industry just had one practice. Free upgrade or paid for upgrades, instead of different companies providing free upgrades and others charging. CDPR is throwing gasoline on the fire when they announced a free upgrade of The Witcher 3, considering it's age.

It's better than the PS4 at it's launch with just Knack and Killzone

So how can they do this for free and Sony/Insomniac can't with Spiderman? I'm sure Spiderman sold more than this which means made more money. This is making that scenario look even worse.
I have the PS4 version of this so I'm eager and grateful for this upgrade to see how it looks and performs on the PS5.

Went digital mainly because on the PS4 I went all digital. If Sony want all digital to work though they need to make the digital copy slightly cheaper than the disc version. For some reason on the PS4 the digital games were exactly the same price as the retailers.

I was looking at playing it again anyway, so I might as well get this version. I played on normal, and I was just about to restart a new playthrough on the most difficult setting. Might as well wait for the new improved Spidey.

So more than likely Playstation might not see the next Elder Scrolls game

I'm seeing on ebay people are selling PS5 launch editions for stupid pricing. They even include a screen capture of their preorder receipt. Cannot stand people that do this , since the console itself is of no interest to them whatsoever. The world has a lot of selfish people.
I am lucky enough to get one for pickup on Nov 12th.

Annoying it's not going to be a free upgrade for owners of the PS4 version. Or even with a $10 dlc upgrade path

If I own Spiderman and all it's DLC's on PS4, will I get a free upgrade to PS5. They are so slow to release this kind of information, it's not that hard. Just a yes or no.

So I'll login to my PS4 and buy these games, then login to my PS5 to download the free PS5 versions. That way I save $10 per game.

Preordered digital with extra controller, charging stand and the new headset. Although slightly worried about the storage space, although didn't they say PS5 games will take up a lot less space because of the technology involved with the custom SSD?

I called it thinking not everything will get a free upgrade. Companies will find a way. This is one reason I refuse to buy any more games until PS5 release. I don’t trust any gaming companies, that way if they do release a free upgrade I become surprised. What they’ve done is wrong and I’m glad I didn’t buy it on the latest sales even though I was tempted.

Aha so that MS thing was just a rumour. I’m just surprised that in 2021 you still have to pay to be online. But that’s where they make the money I guess, especially if they make a loss on the hardware itself

Shame that Sony is keeping the pay to play multiplayer for the PS5 as confirmed on GodFall. Whereas Xbox is changing their system. So 2021 you will still need to pay for MP on Sony.....sigh

I need clarification on this free upgrade. So I buy the physical PS4 copy, then take it back to my games store, hand it over and grab the PS5 version free of charge?

If you preorder is there an option to disable the in game bonuses? I rather play games without having things unlocked from the start.

With that music choice, they must have had a take your kids to work day and their children worked on the trailer

@pip_muzz Agree about the music. Just as bad as the music playing through Godfall trailer. That was terrible, did not suit the game at all

Ooooo bringing it up to ray tracing and better frames. Yum. Glad I held off, I was close to buying too while it’s on sale. Now I’ll wait for the ps5 edition

I thought and expected the new consoles to support 4K 60fps easily. And 8k at 30fps. That’s why tvs with HDMI 2.1 are going to support 120hz.

I imagine it has great HDR support. And does it play at 2160 on pro? Good review but no technical stuff. Also will ray tracing etc be added as a patch if I buy the PS5?

I hope the digital is is the same cost as the standard, but with a larger ssd installed.

A bit like Last of Us 2. I want them to say if you buy it now and then get the PS5 there will be a free patch that includes ray tracing etc. want the game but don’t want to buy a PS5 remaster afterwards. Something they should have clarified during State of Play.

How did this happen? Unrealistic publisher deadlines. Would have been better to hold off till the first one is complete and release the trilogy all at once

Will be picking this up. But a day after release. I don’t like preorder bonuses that assist you in the game. Why do they keep giving preorder bonuses of free skill unlocks?

I say make it a PS5 day one purchase. And have raytracing in the game, it would look even more amazing.

On a whim purchased just the standard edition. I figure I will play this vanilla without any costume DLC. Hopefully I am not missing out on anything. New to Persona and I have to say I am having trouble putting it down, it's fantastic.
In terms of HDR, it's not in the game which with the artistic nature HDR would have suited the game well. Still looks good at 4k though.

Just wondering if it supports HDR? Also on PS4 Pro so what resolution does this run at?

They really should just have it with all the bells and whistles and have it as a next gen release. Better than downgrading.

Kind of frustated at moment. Headed to a certain establishment and it's rocky and mountainous to get there, plus a stack of BT's in the forest. So after finally making it there, now there's a mission to go all the way back to the start of the game. That's where I am up to, because I'm grudging having to trek all the way back to the start of the game.
I don't have vehicles yet, so I understand I am requiring a bit more patience.
Trudging through BT territory is nerve wracking, not only do you have to take it slow to avoid them, you painfully watch your precious cargo slowly diminish with the rain. Talk about punishing.

I thought the Terminator machines were a lot tougher to destroy. In my mind they are a force where if I see even just one of them I would panic, knowing how much effort will be required to take it out.

Boo, a lot of the shows will be Dolby Vision (which is great). Except I have a Samsung TV in which Samsung said a firmware update would come to support more HDR. Then they backed off, which makes my Samsung KS9000 obsolete already, since I'm seeing more and more Dolby Vision shows out there.
I should've stuck to LG.
Welcome to smart TV's where they can easily stop updates which makes you purchase a new TV. Most things are controlled by software but companies refuse to update. Gone are the days of a TV lasting 10+ years. Instead it's a 3-4 year life cycle.

Free updates to some PS4 games would be nice. Even if it's just the Sony exclusives. Days Gone, Spiderman, God of War, Death Stranding.....all with free updates to include ray tracing and all the other new benefits of the PS5.

The internet has made the human race have more accessibility to moan and complain. There are a lot more negative nancy's out there. They need to be heard. I play COD, but I also play Train Sim World 2020 when I need to have a break. I get smashed by friends for playing it. With the net people have forgotten how to act to others.
Even where I work a lot of days I just hear staff complain about anything. It's unfortunately becoming more pronounced in the world.

I have PSVR for when I like to have a change of gameplay. Also I have preordered Death Stranding, because I feel it's good to have diversity in your gaming.

A highway connecting al the way across already and it hasn't even been released yet? So by the time I play the country will be laden with ladders etc all over, which will make my tasks super easy and I will never require the use of my tools. I don't like that factor of removing some challenge.
I would prefer to hit a mountain and think for myself how to get up there, not just see ladders everywhere to use already.
Hope there's a way to just play solo without the connected world.

Can they please ease the difficulty down on normal please. Easy is too easy and normal is hard. This turned my partner off playing this game with me.

You won't have to rebuy the game if you already own it. It will just be a PS5 patch.
