Are you gonna talk about the aeon must die controversy going on ATM? The game looked so good TBH, I’m suprised no article on it is up yet.
@darkswabber We're waiting to see how that story develops. At the moment, it's a tweet and a Dropbox link.
@LiamCroft understandable. I heard the publisher it’s about has done some shady sh*t with the sherlock holmes games too that fall in line with the dropbox link.
@darkswabber That's referring to this story: https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2019/09/sherlock_holmes_crimes_and_punishment_to_be_taken_off_the_psn_store_following_publisher_dispute
@LiamCroft yeah that’s what I meant. I completely forgot about the story until someone on a discord server I’m in mentioned it.
Goodfall seems more and more my kind of deal
@darkswabber Oh dear oh dear, just saw that there. You’re right about Focus being caught up in this sorta stuff before but that studio looks like an absolute mess.
Come on, let's be honest - Hitman 3 aside, this was trash. And the PS5 stuff looked...bad.
Strange that Aeon Must Die isn't mentioned here.
Hmmm.... are we not getting a COD this year after all? That’s fine, but damn, if it’s a thing you’d think they’d have shown it off by now.
The event is pretty good, I think sony nailed this one.
@darkswabber I hope the devs can publish this game with different publisher, the game seems interesting.
Wow Chess and old hitman games truly PlayStation is the place to play or whatever that dingus new motto was.
Control was a great addition... love this game, so any extra content is welcomed, and so soon!
Crash 4 is a must buy at this point.
Seems mostly par for the course. Nothing jumped out at me other than the Godfall gameplay.

What they showed looks amazing. Too bad it was under such circumstances.
That moment the camera went through the back of 47’s head and the PlayStation VR logo appeared. Goose bumps. Haha.
Then saying every location will be playable was the icing on the cake.
Can not wait for this.
I was ya know... expecting updates from all of the games that were announced at the PS5 showcase not just mostly boring indies(Exception being Pathfinder imo). The only games we got updates from the SoP was Hitman 3, Bugsnax, and Godfall. Also God Fall was unbelievably boring. There's nothing good about it so far. They go and talk about the weapon types which I thought would be at least creative but no it's longswords, daggers, polearms, and a hammer... wow couldn't be more excited......... these developers could've at least taken inspiration for weapon creativity and design from games like Bloodborne.
Hitman VR looks excellent as does the Vader game, really looking forward to these but other than those and the control DLC not that much of note for me!
I thought the event was solid. Sony mentioned it won't be some massive PS5-focused event, and the expectations were met.
Hitman VR was insane. I liked Pathless for its direction, music and unique way for traversal. Bugsnax looks interesting though the FNAF-esque animations do make me nervous. Spelunky 2 looks fine af. Hood looked intriguing and the Control DLC2 makes me wanna buy the game. And frankly? I thought that Godfall looked really fun.
Aeon Must Die(?) looked terrific, though its development reveal definitely killed my desire to try it.
@Hobbesyall I was also very impressed with what I saw and heard
Just watching it now, The Pathless looks great.
Shame that Sony is keeping the pay to play multiplayer for the PS5 as confirmed on GodFall. Whereas Xbox is changing their system. So 2021 you will still need to pay for MP on Sony.....sigh
The only game I thought was interesting was that Assasins Creed like game about traitors, and that’s a cross platform game. Godfall didn’t look that good to me, lack of reflections etc.
Originally I was excited for BugSnax as a game to be able to play with my daughter, but now, I'm thinking I just want to play it for myself too. Game looks cool.
@JesWood13 online Gamescom happening in a few weeks from now, could be then
Excited about Spelunky 2, the first game took me months to get to the end and then there was the secret routes to discover and the trophies. Plus the highskilled/speedrunner community are absurdly good at it and how they can complete levels in mere seconds. So it's going to be fun to see how long it takes for them to get round all the new traps as well as mastering the new tools.
It's the kind of game that should appeal to those who enjoy punishing games like Dark Souls etc.
I was actually quietly surprised by it...are all the games to my taste, or day one buys,no. But they were varied, things never dragged on or outstayed too much of its welcome. Crash 4 honestly surprised me- I still want to raise my X-wing's rear deflectors & waiting for Ackbar to scream "IT'S A TRAP!",but I'm interested! A couple of interesting indies too. Hood looked alright ditto Spelunky 2,Braid & a couple of others.
@DigiTM You’ll still need to pay-to-play online with XBox too. https://www.ign.com/articles/xbox-live-gold-discontinue-no-plans
Aha so that MS thing was just a rumour. I’m just surprised that in 2021 you still have to pay to be online. But that’s where they make the money I guess, especially if they make a loss on the hardware itself
Thanks for the roundup! I'm looking forward to Vader Immortal, Control DLC 2 AWE, Crash 4, and Hitman in PSVR .
Auto chess looks cool.
