Get your wallets ready: it's pre-order time. Sony has started making its cross-gen first party exclusives available to pre-purchase on PlayStation Store.
Pages for the PS4 versions of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy: A Big Adventure are up on the digital storefront in its Coming Soon section. This is notable because these two games grant you upgrades to their respective PS5 counterparts for free on the console's launch day.
In the case of Insomniac's wall-crawling sequel, some pre-order bonuses have been officially revealed. The suit in the image below was leaked a short while ago, but it's nice to have confirmation:
Meanwhile, Sackboy: A Big Adventure has now had its Digital Deluxe Edition officially detailed. The listing says this version of the game gets you a digital artbook and soundtrack, four emotes, four costumes, and some PSN avatars.
Will you be pre-ordering either of these cross-gen PlayStation titles? Will you be playing on PS4 or PS5? Tell us in the comments section below.

I wonder when Sony will add a dedicated PS5 section on the web. Im buying both but on PS5 getting the UE of Miles Morales .
Sackboy also offers a digital comic in both versions, either way i'm waiting to pre-order the yet unannounced Special Edition of the game since I do like purchasing games on physical.
Wasn't Miles supposed to be 40€? It is listed as 60€ and makes no mention of PS5 free update whatsoever in contrast with other games like FIFA that say it clearly...
Miles maybe.
Sackboy no. I still remember the mess that was LBP 3, a virtually unplayable Christmas gift for my kids. Good times.
Getting Spider-Man Miles ultimate edition for the PS5.
Even with adding a SSD (old repurposed one) to my PS4, it's showing it's age and I am giving away this Xmas.
So apart from the BC of the PS+ collection, PS5 games all the way from my 50th Birthday.
Can’t help but feel the headline was specifically worded to highlight it’s not on PS Now.
@zupertramp
Isn’t it made by a completely different company? Sumo instead of MM?
@deathaxe
As am i (Ultimate Edition) Surprised you revealed your age. Im 25 and don't see myself ever stopping gaming so nice to know there are others out there that still have the passion for it
@thefourfoldroot I believe Sumo was the LBP3 developer, which is probably why there was such a drop in quality/reliability from the first two.
@thefourfoldroot Sumo Digital made both this one and LittleBigPlanet 3.
They also made LittleBigPlanet Vita with Tarsier Studios.

Cool. Didn’t know that. I tried playing 3 for a while but the loading times were insufferable.
Cheaper to buy spider man on digital than retail mind you only £2 but this does surprise me.
£50 quid for miles morales. Is this as long as marvels spiderman? As that’s a lot of cash for a glorified DLC!
I only finished Spiderman last night and my take away from it is that I hope there is less of the 'Ubisoft' map filler and more of the story in Miles Morales.
I loved the ending of Spiderman. The conversation with Octavius is just brilliant. Superbly animated and acted totally left me wanting more.
But I don't have any reason to go back and do all the sable bases and all the prisoner camps, catch the pigeons, swing through clouds of smog etc etc. It all got tiresome.
If some of it could be better linked to the story and make more of the bases about stealth and give them almost a puzzle element rather than 6 waves of enemies every time.
Also I think the progression needs to be more meaningful. Once I had the Web blossom I never used another special, I only changed up gadgets when running out of my favourite one and so progression became meaningless.
So for me the story was the strength and that's where I want the focus, not the filler.
Won't be preordering. Preordered Spiderman originally on PS4, where they gave me a lot of free skill points as a bonus. It made the game way too easy, and I felt a lack of satisfaction of progressing.
There was too much emphasis placed on QTEs in the last Spiderman game for my liking. There's only one Spiderman anyway as far as I'm concerned and that's a certain P. Parker esq.
So sack boy ps4 is $60 usd. Ps5 isn't listed but that's one of the free upgrade games. If they're charging $70 for the ps5 version but the $60 ps4 version upgrades... What's the catch?
Should I be concerned that my Sackboy: A Big Adventure pre-order isn't showing up in my library? 🤔
I'll definitely be pre-ordering Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5, but will be waiting for Sackboy to drop down to ~$20 price range in a few years before I buy it.
