Hope they release a Complete Edition with all current DLC that’s been released. Otherwise it needs to be cheap since there is so much DLC now. Also at least it might be easier, there were times I played the PSVR version and occasionally didn’t pickup me swinging one of the light controllers
@FatalBubbles Yep....and I know and understand its way too much to ask for a direct book to screen version. Although it would be fantastic, characters would have so much more depth and emotions with the audience, although there would be some episodes slow but with deep storytelling. Would have been too slow for some, especially of Perrin and Egwene trekking for miles with nothing but camping and having Perrin learn the way of the Wolf with Elyas whom they meet. Books are always better in this regard. Hope they learnt this for the 2nd season. On topic, very worried about God of War TV series - it would have to be super expensive to make all the CGI look decent.
@FatalBubbles
The show wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I was hoping the 1st season would be based solely on the 1st book. Instead they added their own stuff in and incorporated some elements of the 2nd book in. Simple things omitted like Rand falling off the wall trying to see the False Dragon and landing in the Palace garden and getting to meet the Queen. The rescue of Perrin and Egwene from the Whitecloaks. The act of being Wisdom was never jumping into deadly rapids. Instead they could of had the freaky scene of Rand first seeing the cloaked horserider following him from the start of the book. Where was the area where Perrin was starting to learn about the Wolves. Things that should not have been omitted. But that's my personal opinion. And don't get me started about Perrin suddenly being married, that was just the show trying to make a scene of having his wife get killed which never existed in the 1st place.
They could have made it where each season is followed from each book solely. Apologise if there are spoilers for anyone that have not read WOT, but it's hard to explain the show without references.
I absolutely love the look of the Ray Tracing mode, however on playing it feels like it's seriously struggling on the PS5. I am experiencing controller lag and stuttering.
Also for anyone that has not played this yet - Death March is the best way to play it, it makes you actually require the use of food and healing, and think about your foes and strategize before you enter blindly into combat.
I would love a new Marvel top down iso action RPG game similar to Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It was just plain fun, especially in coop mode either online or couch coop.
@anoyonmus God of War was released on the Microsoft PC platform. Ragnarok most likely coming later too. Last of Us is also coming to the Microsoft PC platform.
Looking forward to it but wonder how much more advanced it is in that it cannot run on PS4? Although stocks are now more readily available, with the economy collapse and the price of the PS5, I'm sure there are many out there that WANT the console but due to the cost of it they just can't. It's definitely not a NEED thing at the moment since there are plenty of other games out there for PS4. And yes I have a PS5 but I had to do some dirty extra work to get the money for it, the economy sux at the moment
Should have been free. Mainly due to the fact that the game is still bugged, they keep promising an addon manager for PS5 TSW3 but yet to deliver. Some companies would have released something like this as an apology for a promised fix. All DTG seem to do is keep releasing DLC without fixing the game so you can actually play the DLC. This is another DLC that is useless if you own all other DLC, unless you uninstall other DLC.
As to this requiring them to create new assets etc, as an example Insomniac kept releasing new Spiderman costumes, Little Big Planet are still releasing FREE costumes. These still require artist and developers to sit behind a computer and do new assets/textures and use company resources at no charge to the consumer. Or are DTG employees better/more superior than these other companies employees?
@Slayer25c Gmail and Google is a free service but I'm sure they have high end security protocols on their mainframe servers to help avoid/prevent hacking
@KidBoruto My PS Plus expires next year in June, and considering not renewing due to the cost. I don't play MP, have too many games to worry about PS Plus free games (I think I have only played and finished 1x PS Plus game since my subscription due to family and time constraints). So really I am paying a premium for just cloud saves, which is only handy if the PS5 blows up.
If the buyout happens, then Sony should really stop releasing PC ports and make games such as MLB The Show, Callisto, Bungie Destiny future releases only for Playstation again. Sony is trying to evolve the industry into multiplatform where every gamer regardless of platform can enjoy their games. Microsoft on the other hand are the gaming bullies whom don't want to share their projects to the masses.
Corporate ethics of the gaming industry have become toxic. If a Microsoft vehicle crashed, a Sony exec would stop and help them out of the burning vehicle. However if a Sony vehicle crashed, a Microsoft exec would drive away saying sux to be you.
If they can do this for a weekend, they can do it entirely. Paywall to use multiplayer is a cashcow in gaming, unfortunately it’s been this way with consoles forever.
Looking forward to this. VR is evolving where more full fledged games are being made for it. I remember the PSVR and at the start it just felt like a stack of demos and not full length titles
I'm against the PS Store Picks one. I purchased one of the games on the list a week prior and never got the reward of 50 points. It only gives you the reward if you purchase the game in that timeframe. Makes me now hesitate on buying anything from now on until I check this.
@Bamila Really? I cannot imagine an actual game studio taking 2 years to do minor things such as resolution, 60fps and adding some cosmetic mods that were already done by a modder prior (actually hoping). If this is the case modders do better things in better timeframes than paid developers.
Anyone know if Resident Evil Village in VR2 is free for owners of the game already? Saw the price of Star Wars, it better be a decent length for that kind of pricing. Already have No Mans Sky so looking forward to that free upgrade.
It has taken a long time so I imagine the game has had a complete overhaul nearly. Totally different lighting (similar to what was shown originally at E3?), 4k textures, better hair, facial, better water. Just throwing user mods in and testing doesn't take this long normally. A far as RT is concerned I am always sceptical when game companies say the game has RT, since there are different types of amount of RT. Only shadows or also RT lighting? I didn't really see much difference on PS5 with RT enabled on Cyberpunk unless I paused the game and checked.
@TheTony316
Love that saying "Snowflake entitlement", I'm going to start using that in real life. Had a lady want to push through the line at the coffee shop the other day, simply because she had a meeting to attend to.
Is this a joke? CDPR release free minor DLC with their games and then offer paid actual expansions. Exactly like what they did with Witcher 3. Unlike some other game companies that charge for basic DLC like cosmetics etc. I shook my head in disbelief when I read this article.
Just preordered through EBGames. Total cost was $1039.90 including Horizon VR and controller charge station. Just paid deposit. Now I have to justify $1000 for this to my partner…ouch.
@RobN
Understand, not every Playstation user comes to Push Square. Although now the question is "Why don't they?"
The biggest issue with not everyone having a PS5 is I just had a look at EBGames in Australia and it is selling for $900. In this economy and with a recession about to hit it's a lot of money. And then there is PSVR2 coming which will probably be close to $900 Australian. Games are $125 Australian. Console gaming in Australia is expensive. Sorry I have to relate to Australia costs so not certain if these details about costs hold up in other countries.
Looking at the voting results it looks like people playing on PS5 is way ahead of PS4. Game companies need to scrap cross gen for all games in 2023 and make impressive PS5 versions only. It looks like PS4 is dying out according to those vote results
There's an option missing that should be mandatory on ALL these PS5 games. VRR support, so 30fps is in fact 40fps. 40fps despite being less than 60 provides a smoother overall experience but with the graphics at quality at 40fps. Developers are just lazy these days.
@AverageGamer True, which means it's probably better for all if I just wait until they drop that patch before purchasing. Horizon and Ratchet did a great job implementing it, unfortunately I finished both games without VRR that suits my setup. I prefer quailty mode over 60fps. I might even be lucky in that by the time they do release the VRR update it will actually be added to PS Plus Extra Tier
I wouldn't have even looked at this, until they released the PS5 version of Deliver Us The Moon on PS Plus Extra. Ended up playing it out of curiosity (since it's free on that tier), and I was pleasantly surprised. That was a very smart move to release it free for that PS Plus Tier.
Why are they not including VRR mode to provide 40fps mode? Stop releasing these games unfinished and then patching them later to include the VRR option, most times I have already finished them.
For me it’s not worth the extra cost. I only now play PS5 games so I checked and out of all 355 games there are only 37x PS5 games on the extra plan. And out of those 37x I already own 14x of them I already own. It might suit other people though. Just worried that the standard free monthly PS5 games will get worse now.
Nice since I am eager to play RE7 since received for free through PS5 PS Plus collection. Now I can have the PS5 version of RE7 to play before playing Village.
Why not the retailer when they sell it you ask for your ID, and they enter it in and register the serial number to you. It then activates the console to be used, if a scalper sells one, the unit cannot be used on the PS network since that serial number is not registered as active. If you want to sell it, then it has to be deregistered. Almost like the hardware serial/mac address is being leased to you.
Guess this means it will be true next gen only with realistic images, realistic sand bunkers etc. Sounds good that they are spending more time to make it look and feel as realistic as the real thing
For me it's just a simple do not buy, but not fussed since there are many other great games out there (currently playing Horizon Forbidden West). For me life is hardcore enough, I don't need to finish a hard day of work and go home to be punished by a videogame as well, I now prefer to just sit back and have casual fun.
I got harassed on another forum only because I said I won't play this game although it looks good simply because I am terrible at hardcore games. Called a sook etc.
But everyone has preferences and these days with the internet there is way too much of judging others despite everyone having different acquired tastes. Gaming forums are the worst these days, yet everyone on them is a gamer. Us gamers need to band together more regardless of our gaming tastes, and only pick on the non gamers
Tempted but worried that they haven't actually fixed 1x big issue, previous entry I found I was always starting way at the back and with only 3 laps you have to win, this made it feel less realistic because I was constantly banging other cars out of my way in order to progress. 3x laps is too short to do it realistically, should at least let us choose how many laps we want in single player. (many racing games are like this though unfortunately)
Could be also due to many getting that free ticket but ended up paying for the other half to come with them to see it too. As long as it looks true next gen on PS5, held off on MLB 21 since I couldn't see much difference between PS5 and previous. Characters and crowds should at least be up to NBA22 quality at least. However I'm afraid even this year won't hold up.
In the starting title credits it has listed multiplayer lead designers yet the game has no multiplayer, these credits should have been modified. Naughty Dog - more like Lazy Dog
So let me get this right. A modder puts his/her time and effort into creating content for a game, then Bethesda snatch it up and charge for it. Now they are throwing them into the game and wanting to charge for an Anniversary edition that includes creations that were only made by fans? Or am I missing something here? Also why support Bethesda/Microsoft since they a dissing Sony in the future?
All excited about the new update, went online to find a SSD that is on the list. Turned away quick due to the price gauging. In Australia 2TB is $699, way overpriced. Looks like import might be the better way to go on this, just not certain if the USA version of a SSD would work with the Asia Pacific PS5.
