Sony has finally revealed the PlayStation 5's price and release date as part of the console's latest online showcase. The standard PS5 (with the disc drive) will cost $499. The PS5 Digital Edition (without the disc drive) will cost $399. Both systems launch on the 12th November in the US and some other regions. It comes a little later, on the 19th November, in the UK and a few other places.

As for release dates, the PS5 launches in the following regions on the 12th November:

  • US
  • Japan
  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • South Korea

It releases on the 19th November everywhere else, including European countries such as the UK, France, and Germany. PS5 pre-orders are already going live at some retailers, as detailed below:
