Who's getting rewarded here?!?!?! Not us, the players. It's Sony because we get the 'reward' of an opportunity to give them more of our money. What brain dead executive over there thought this one up and who are the idiots that approved it??? How about actually rewarding us with FREEBIES of some kind for us already spending our hard earned $$ with you? IDIOTS.....

I've been looking forward to this game as it looks like a lot of fun, but I doubt I'll be getting it at launch due to the glut of other games coming out and that will already be out by then that I want to play. Still, I'll definitely be getting around to this at some point.

None for me thanks. I play games to enjoy them, even if they’re somewhat challenging. And masochism is not enjoyable to me. 😂

My campaign of cleaning up some games and getting them to 100% trophy completion has taken me to CASTLEVANIA: Lords Of Shadow on the PS3. Haven’t played it since 2010 but I’m rather enjoying a return to it.
Of course, now I finally have my physical copy of CRONOS: The New Dawn which I’ve REALLY been looking forward to, but as one who doesn’t like to play multiple games at once so as not to confuse control schemes, I guess I ‘ll wait on it another week or so. LOL first world problems for sure. Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys whatever they’re playing!

Glad I decided to wait on this one. By the time I get around to it, hopefully the issues will be fixed and I can get it on a sale.

@Czar_Khastik Thanks bud - that’s a VERY comprehensive post full of good information that helps me understand why so many people love this game. I see your posts on this site fairly often extolling its virtues. Unfortunately, turn-based games are the farthest thing from what I actually like in a video game so it’s a hard pass for me but it does sound like if ever I was going to give a turn based game a shot this would probably be it.

@LordAinsley Thanks for the info m8! I appreciate it. Yeah - hard pass on the turn-based combat. It’s just not my thing by a country mile. Shame too as a lot of people really seem to love the game.

So, what is it about this game that is SO GREAT? Someone sell me on this game. I’m not adverse to RPG’s at all but nothing ever really drew me to this title. What’s it like? What is it comparable to? Someone change my mind. One caveat tho - is this a turn-based game? If so, I’m out. I utterly detest turn based games

I’ve been cleaning up some trophies in games I want a 100% on while I wait for the physical copy of CRONOS The New Dawn to come out. So, currently I’m working on the DLC for The Surge, which I haven’t played in years so it’s taking some getting used to. Other than that I’ll be watching my Detroit Lions hopefully get their first win of the season. Hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend!

I'll get around to this game sooner or later. I've played all of them to this point and enjoyed them all to varying degrees, but gone are the days of just blindly pre-ordering them. At this point I can wait for sales and price-drops due to the fact they're all kind of 'same-y' and the sheer amount of other games coming out I want to play.

While I'm old enough to have gotten an Atari 2600 when they first came out (along with a Coleco-vision, Intellivision, Nintendo 64 and a few others), I never got a PlayStation until early in the PS3 era........which was a GREAT era in videogames, IMHO.

I thought I’d be diving into CRONOS: The New Dawn this weekend as I preordered the physical edition of the game, but for whatever reason it doesn’t come out for another 2 weeks or so 🫤. Instead I’m cleaning up some trophies in the first DLC pack of Fenyx Rising in order to get 100% on that game. So I’ll be doing that and watching my Detroit Lions start their season on Sunday. I like her as an actress but not as Lara Croft. Looks-wise, Angelina Jolie was about as close as I think we've gotten or we're gonna get.

Really glad to hear this turrned out well. I did something I rarely ever do which is pre-order a new IP but I did so with this title and I'm itching to play it.

Like anything, it all depends on who makes it and how good of a job they do with it. COD is pretty ripe material for Hollywood as it is and considering it always has some big set pieces in every campaign, who knows? It could turn out far better than expected. I never thought Baywatch or Barbie would be any good but they were better than they had any right to be and I like a good military actioner as much as the next person so…. 🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽

Would love it if emblems and calling cards carried forward but I doubt that will happen.....

And we already know, due to the month it's being released in, the movie is expected to be trash.

I'd really like to play this but the big detraction for me as a hardcore trophy hunter is the 10,000 online kills trophy. I honestly just don't have time for that and with all the games coming out the rest of '25 and into '26, it makes it all the easier to pass on this, which I'm likely going to do. Besides, $40 for what's essentially an almost 20 year old game is too steep a price for me as well. **MAYBE** once the game is on sale or has had a price cut and I can find someone to boost the kills with I might give it a shot but it's unlikely.

Absolutely nothing of interest for me, personally.........which is typical. But that's fine - there's 9 games coming out in the remainder of the year I want to play so I'm not pressed for something to play.

I just have one trophy left for 100% in Resident Evil 7 which is to complete the DLC mode Ethan Must Die. It’s fairly challenging so it may take the weekend to get it done. I’ve really enjoyed the variety and amount of content the DLC for RE7 offers. Wish more games did their DLC like that. Hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend!!

I didn't bother watching it as I figured I'd just skip all the filler and catch up on anything that piqued my interest once it was all done with and summed up. Turns out there were only one or two new game announcements that caught my eye and anything shown for the games I'm already interested in that I know about, didn't really move the needle for me one way or the other. All in all....... I chose wisely

I grabbed all the DLC for Resident Evil 7 recently in a sale for $10 so I’m working on playing through all that. I have to say the amount of content and variety of it is quite impressive. That’s probably the best DLC Resident Evil has ever done. And some of it is quite difficult too! Hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend!

I think we all know we’re due for the inevitable Bloodborne remaster or sequel announcement. It just feels right this time 😂😂😂

This is great to hear! I quite enjoyed the first one and thought the dual world mechanic was an excellent addition / improvement on the Souls formula. Will be eagerly looking to pick this up when it releases.

Glad it’s back up but it’s absolutely ridiculous that we still have to pay full price for decades old games and add on’s.

I haven’t played the Beta but Battlefield has a LOT to prove to me after the last few absolutely atrocious outings before I’ll jump back in.

Unfortunately I’m not gonna have a lot of time to game again this weekend as I’m still dealing with some family drama but what time I will have will be spent finishing up the platinum for Dying Light 2. Just finished the DLC for it yesterday so I’m hoping to make good progress on the last 3 trophies I have left for collectibles and distance traveled. COD and Battlefield are very different types of FPS's and each serves their own market / fan base. I'd say Activision is, like it or not, pretty right on with their statement.

I just played Lies Of P and that would’ve been the only game I’d have interest in out of the 3 but there’s no denying this is a solid month for PS+ Essential. 💪🏽😉👍🏽

Love shooters but after the way the last few BF games released I won’t touch them until they’re heavily patched and discounted.

Until they actually release a game that isn't full of bugs and is actually in really good playable shape at launch, I refuse to buy any more of their games until they're patched and heavily discounted. Wow! Lies Of P is a BIIIIG win for anyone who hasn't played it yet. Of course, and this is how it always goes, I just bought it last month in a sale when it was bundled with the equally good (if not better) DLC for it. Go figure. Oh well. Money VERY well spent even so.

I’m in. Always wanted to play Gears Of War. It’s one of the very few Microsoft properties actually have any real interest in.

I'm fine with that actually. Techland makes great games but they typically release in a very buggy state so hopefully this gives them time to get most of the bugs out. I'm looking forward to this as I'm playing Dying Light 2 right now so I hope it turns out good!

Now that we've got Gears Of War headed our way, all I really want are Halo and Sunset Overdrive. Most Xbox games never held much interest for me. That's a BIIIIG reason I got onboard with Sony 15-16 years ago.....

Though I enjoyed the first one more, I’m playing Dying Light 2 right now and very much enjoying it. By the time I finish with it this new game should be out so I’m really looking forward to it. The Dying Light games are always a good time.
