Techland has today confirmed a one-month delay for Dying Light: The Beast, which pushes the game out of late August and into September, where it'll face more competition from other new releases.
The PS5 game will now release on 19th September 2025, as the developer states it needs a little bit more time to polish the experience and create "the best Dying Light game we’ve ever released". Those extra four weeks of work will focus on "finetuning the balance of gameplay elements, looking into clarity of UI, increasing the quality of physics, as well as tweaking cutscenes and player animations further".

The announcement has been made off the back of preview coverage, which included our own thoughts after playing the zombie open world title for around four hours. In our report, we said: "It’s not reinventing the wheel, but Dying Light: The Beast is shaping up to be a tightly packed blast of zombie fun — and potentially the best entry in the series so far."
Delaying the game to September means Dying Light: The Beast will release in close proximity to some of the year's biggest titles, like Borderlands 4, Silent Hill F, and Ghost of Yotei.
Four extra weeks does at least give you more time to redeem all current Dying Light The Beast Dockets Codes, which will give you extra loot in the full game:
