Painkiller, the semi-reboot of People Can Fly's chaotic first-person shooter from the early 2000s, has been hit with a slight delay ahead of its launch on PS5.
Previously, the revival was set for the 9th October, but it's now been pushed back to the 21st October. No specific reason has been has been given for the delay, but with October being so busy in terms of the release schedule, distancing itself from the likes of Ghost of Yotei is probably a smart idea.
If the delay comes as a bit of a disappointment, then the announcement of 'Rogue Angel' should dampen the negativity. This is a roguelike mode separate from the game's campaign, pushing crazy combat encounters and temporary upgrades.
