@GirlVersusGame I couldn't agree with you more. Time spent watching others play a game you could be playing yourelf is the very definition of 'time wasted'.

Based only on what I played in the Beta, I’m actually quite looking forward to MW4. It was some of the best MP COD has had in many years.

Thus far, Mortal Shell 2 is my GOTY. An absolute blast to play!

@Bieeelak You’re right - BF1 was excellent and very few issues at launch. I meant to say 2 but mistyped it. I’ll go back and fix it. My underlying thought was basically “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me and you don’t get a 3rd chance”.

After 2 successive outings of TERRIBLE Battlefield games at their launch, concluding with the absolutely abysmal and infuriating BF2042, I am likely to never play another Battlefield game again, no matter how good it is. And I thoroughly enjoy shooters but BF has burned me too much and too badly.

@Areus Many of us not only platinum every COD, but we also 100% the trophy stack for every one of them too.

I’m a hardcore trophy hunter and hate this about COD but I’ve come to expect this from it so no surprise for me. At least I’ll be able to keep MW2 at 100% for another year since that’s what all the ‘DLC’ is listed under.
I do wish they’d move it to a proper header or ‘game’ called COD HQ or whatever. But that would make too much sense. Kind of like making zombies it’s own offering since it has nothing military about it, but that’s another topic for another day.

@GirlVersusGame Hey there! I played Silent Hill 2 a year or so ago and really enjoyed it. I’ve actually been re-visiting old games I didn’t have 100% on the trophy stack lately and thoroughly enjoying doing so, but unfortunately I’m at a point where I don’t have much left in that regard I want to be hassled with. Luckily my son came home from college and traded me LEGO Batman for MARVEL’s Wolverine so I’ll be mopping up the DLC in that for the next day or two and then it’s right back to the same problem. I’ll figure something out tho. Be well and take care!

I have the perfect weekend to sit around and play games all day since there’s a hurricane sitting on top of us right now, but unfortunately I have absolutely NOTHING to play. I ordered Pragmata in Amazon’s recent sale but for whatever reason it won’t be here for another 2 weeks (?!?!) and COD MW4 (which I’ve also ordered) is 2 weeks away. There’s nothing on sale or in the PS Extras catalog I’m overly thrilled about so……..🤷🏽 No clue what I’m gonna land on to kill some time for the next 2 weeks. HOW ABOUT A NEW RESISTANCE GAME?!?!?!?!

@GirlVersusGame Hey there! I’m enjoying Luna Abyss so far. It’s a pretty good game but it feels like something that will eventually hit PS+ if I wait long enough. I just couldn’t as I need something to play for a few weeks and it was on sale so….. why not?
As for GTA VI, I have zero interest in that game (or any GTA games for that matter). Partly because I platinum what I play and Rockstar games are incredibly lengthy plats with a LOT of grinding and tediousness to them, and partly because of the reason you singled out. I do try to hold to my convictions as best as humanly possible, though I certainly fall short from time to time as we all do.

@Northern_munkey Glad to hear Active Matter is that good. I haven’t picked it up yet because it feels like the kind of game that will eventually come to PS+ in some fashion and I have an aversion to paying full price for games (even if it’s only $30) but I’m definitely gonna grab it at some point. It looks amazing and hearing what you’ve said about it seals the deal.

I’ve been struggling to find a game to play while I wait for COD MW4 at the end of the month. It’s not that there aren’t at least a dozen games that I want to play, it’s just that I don’t want to pay full price for any of them. That said, I used a $10 gift card and took advantage of one of the games on my wishlist being on sale and picked up Luna Abyss last night, so I’ll be playing that this weekend. As someone who plays COD a lot, this is a VERY welcome design improvement! Based on just my experience with the Beta alone, it feels like they are getting a lot right w this iteration. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I always stick that at the end of my ‘what are you playing this weekend?’ posts because while I’m not necessarily a rage QUITTER, I do frequently get ticked off to the point of cussing with difficult bosses, stupid mechanics and trash deaths in a lot of games. I’ll be playing through the final 6 or 7 chapters of Wolverine. Not as wildly impressed with it as I’d hoped. It’s certainly a really good game but not great. Anyone on the fence about it I’d say wait for a price drop. Otherwise enjoy your time gaming and ……no rage quitting! 😉

@lazymike AGREED! I wish Nintendo would allow the titles to be remastered and put on PS, Xbox & Steam. Not doing so is $$ lost IMHO.

@GirlVersusGame Hey there! Yeah, I’m a big comic book nerd as I’ve been collecting comics all my life since I was a little kid. I have a pretty massive collection. My main focus has always been Iron Man and the X-Men but I have all kinds of titles from just about every publisher. Always been a Wolverine fan since he first appeared on the scene. I even have his first (cameo) appearance in Hulk #180 and the copy is autographed by the writer Len Wein. That’s always been one of my ‘prized issues’ in my collection.

Sucker Punch’s is by far the best but Housemarque and Guerilla’s are really cool too. In fact, Aloy looks better there than she ever has in a game. Jus’ sayin’…..

I won’t have much time for gaming this weekend between playing a gig, church and the NFL starting up ( Go Lions!!) but when I do, I’ll be playing through the DLC packs for Borderlands 4 since I got them all on sale recently. Ouch. I was sort of looking forward to this as the first one was a LOT of fun on the hardest difficulty setting with some friends and I’m a huge Aliens fan. Good to hear, but man, I’d MUUUUUUCH prefer Bulletstorm 2. Bulletstorm was just criminally underrated and one of the best IP’s of the entire PS3 generation.

I’d definitely be up for a Venom game from Insomniac as they do all of their games very well. But after that, they need to move away from superhero content and get back to a good shooter as they do creative, inventive and interesting weapons better than anyone else in the biz.

I have a nice long 5 day weekend so I’ll be finishing up the absolutely amazing Mortal Shell 2. Such an incredible game. Easily one of the very best Soulslikes ever made. Hope everyone has a great time gaming this weekend and as always, …….. no rage quitting! 😉😂

The highight for me was Maneater 2, which ranks pretty low on the games I'm looking forward to, so that should tell you something.....

Already have the game on preorder and being a trophy hunter I’ll definitely be grabbing the plat for this one!

Pfffffff......we all know the following are imminent anouncements. Who are you trying to fool Sony?

• Resistance series trilogy remake
• the next Killzone game
• Crysis 4
• BioShock 4
• COD Zombies becoming it's own separate title
• Console prices coming down a little
• Reversal of their stance on physical games

This doesn’t surprise me in the least bit to hear. Initially I was pretty interested in this but the few trailers I’ve seen for it have looked exceptionally average and left me lukewarm. Considering the amount of games that are already out or coming out that I want to play I won’t be in any kind of rush to ever pick this up. If at all…….

I’ll be splitting my time this weekend between 2 excellent but very different games. The first being Mortal Shell 2 which is a massive improvement over the first one in every way. It’s really good and very enjoyable but it’s got it’s flaws as well. The lock-on system and camera being chief among them at times. But still, it’s just an incredible game.
The other is the COD MW4 Beta which is incredibly addictive and far better than I thought it would be. I dare say this is the best MP COD has done in quite a while and I’ve played every COD since World At War (except BO4).
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys their time gaming this weekend and as always…….no rage quitting! 😉

I gotta say, I just love all the snobbery over a framerate. And I wonder how many people here, who normally get indignant over a game not running at 60 fps are backing off that now because "iT's GtA vI yO!"
