I just finished Killing Floor 2 last night and with my pre-order of RE9 delayed until mid March I need to find a game to play until then. I’ve considered The Last Descendant since it’s free and a long game (to platinum) but it’s grindy and apparently not that good. I’ve also considered Insurgency Sandstorm since I like shooters and it’s on PS+ Extra but it’s apparently difficult and a MP game. Then there’s Metal Eden, ALIEN Rogue Incursion and ROBOCOP Unfinished Business, all of which are on sale right now but are short games. Not sure what to play……??? If anyone has any experience and thus thoughts on any of these or suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Really wish they’d patch a decent trophy set into RESISTANCE: Fall Of Man. It’s the only Resistance game without a trophy set.

I grabbed A QUIET PLACE: The Road Ahead on PS+ Extra this week so I’ve been playing that. It’s a decent enough game that reminds me a bit of ALIEN Isolation. Hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend! Happy gaming!

DEFINITELY a day 1 purchase. I think 2027 is probably gonna push to 2028 tho. Can’t see them putting out a game that’s as solid and polished as the first in basically 2 years time but here’s hoping.

Really don’t have anything to play this weekend except COD BO7 MP. I had bought Metro Exodus in the current sale along with it’s DLC and after completing the 2 main DLC packs, I tried to fire up NG+ but the system kept crashing on both my PS5 and PS4 so I guess I’m SOL there. 🙄🤷🏽🫤. Just gonna wait for Tuesday to roll around so I can snag A Quiet Place : The Road Ahead when it hits PS+ Extra. I hope everyone has a great weekend gaming!!

I'll definitely play A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. I've had that on my wishlist since before it came out and almost pulled the trigger on it a few times. Glad I never did! This is one of the rare times it worked out. Usually I end up buying a game and within a month or two it hits PS+

As usual, none of the offered games have any appeal to me, even as a “well, I’ll at least stick that one in my library and if I’m ever REALLY bored one day I’ll give it a shot” kind of thing. TBH, it’s gotten to the point where if a game I want to play ever does show up as a free game of the month it’s a shocking surprise and a blessing I’m grateful for.

I picked up METRO Exodus and all of its DLC for just under $10 in the recent sale on PSN so I’m going back and working on 100% completion on the trophy stack. I played and platinumed the game years ago when it came out but never bothered with the DLC so I figured why not complete it all since it’s so cheap? I resolve to stop playing games that are likely only going to frustrate or aggravate me for one reason or another. In other words I intend to be more discerning and intentional about my choice of games.

I’m kind of in between games right now since I just platinumed Astro Bot and have absolutely NO desire to do the majority of the DLC’s. It was (for the most part) a charming enough game, but I don’t enjoy platformers all that much and some of the challenge levels in that game were immensely frustrating. By the time I finally made it through the Great Master Challenge at the end, it had worn out what good will I had for it and I couldn’t wait to delete it from my system.
That said, I’m now looking at grabbing one of the following in the current sale:
Metal Eden
WUCHANG Fallen Feathers
ALIEN Rogue Incursion Evolved
Not sure what I’m gonna go with as they all appeal to me in one way or another but I have had a few people say WUCHANG is the way to go.

I got Astro Bot for Christmas so I’ve been playing that along with some COD BO7 MP. Astro Bot is just what I’ve needed lately as it’s largely laid back, easy and fun. A few of the minor / challenge levels can be a bit frustrating as I’m not particularly good at platforming but I always manage to get by them with a lot of practice. All in all it’s a great game. Happy gaming this weekend everyone!

Still grinding away on Borderlands 4 making slow progress towards the platinum and on the last character I need to level up to 50. Other than that, I’m also still having fun with BO7 MP. Hope everyone has a good time w their games this weekend!

I haven't played the demo yet but intend to. That said, this definitely won't be a day 1 title for me, but then again, not much ever really is as I prefer to wait for price drops and sales on the games I play.

I’m finally down to the last trophy in Borderlands 4, but it’s a very grindy one - I have to level 3 more characters to level 50 🫤 The good thing is that I’m really enjoying the game.. it’s mechanically the best Borderlands they’ve made and some of the characters skills are really enjoyable.

Beyond that, I’ve finally completed the trophy stack for Black Ops 7 but I still play it a lot as I thoroughly enjoy the MP in that game. To be honest it’s about the only game I enjoy enough to play periodically throughout the year. Say what you will about COD but they sure know what they’re doing when it comes to MP FPS.

Other than that, I’ve started back on DYING LIGHT: The Beast since they added NG+ to it. It’s a good game as usual with those titles so I figured I’d give it another go. I always enjoy a good NG+ 😉

I know it’s not a popular choice but I gave CRONOS: The New Dawn my top vote. It was just such a well done and fun experience.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has been on my radar for some time now so it’s good if this is true. I’ll probably end up playing it.

I dunno……. I think I’d be more hyped if I saw a trailer of Chris Redfield and him punching boulders 😉😂

This sounds like it could be a HUGE win for fans of the franchise as it will get it out from under the ever-hated EA and hopefully revive it in some capacity. The only potential gotcha here is who ends up with it.

I’ve taken a break from Borderlands 4 for a bit to play Black Ops 7. It’s a solid well made game and certainly has its moments but it’s…….. lifeless and same-y…… pretty much what I’ve accused the Borderlands series of being. Honestly, after only 24 hours with it, I’m considering just going back to Borderlands 4 which has proven to be quite fun and easily the best one since BL2.

@SeanOhOgain You're not. I've never played a GTA game either and after RDR2, I doubt I'll ever play another R* game. They're certanly well done, good looking and fun, but they're also insanely involved games that require a ridiculous amount of time to complete and do most of the activities in, which I just don't have time for.

LOL - Always get a laugh out of the trolls that vote the lowest score on a game that's CLEARLY not even close to being a bad game at all. SMH.....

I’ll be spending some time playing Borderlands 4. I’m pretty impressed with all the quality of life improvements in the game and while all of the Borderlands games tend to feel very ……. same-y, this iteration may very well be the best and most enjoyable one they’ve done. That said, the platinum hunt (if you’re a trophy hunter) looks to be a VERY long one as the trophy stack is rife with things like complete all missions, complete all side missions, complete all contratcs, find all areas and the grindy time sink of level all 4 vault hunters to level 50 which is hidden behind a different description altogether. Anyways, hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend!

Where's the option for the Aliens franchise? Even entries like ALENS: Colonial Marines are scary..........even if it's 'scary bad'

SWEET!!! A game that was already offered on PS Plus that I've played and 2 games I could care less about. Man, these 'free' offerings Sony keeps doling out are right up there with some of their other offerings like the new 'rewards' program and a lack of themes for the PS5.

This looks really good! Definitely has my interest piqued, but the problem is there are a TON of games coming out next year that I'd probably rather play than this. Still, it looks like something I'll pick up eventually.

Forget Killzone - what about Resistance?? I always preferred Resistance FAR more than Killzone and have been wanting a remastered trilogy or new entry in the series on PS5 for ages. And yes, I know RESISTANCE: Retribution is available on PS5 complete w DLC but that doesn’t count in my mind any more than KILLZONE: Liberation does.

I finally platinumed DYING LIGHT: The Beast so I picked up Borderlands 4 and started on that last night. Having played all of the Borderlands games, I had grown tired of the formula as, if you’ve played one of those games you’ve pretty much played them all. But I have to say, after just a few hours in to this one, they’ve really nailed it. There’s so much that Gearbox has improved on that this seems to be the very best iteration of the Borderlands ‘formula’.So, when time permits, that’s what I’ll be playing this weekend. I’m out of town this weekend back up in my hometown of Detroit so the only ‘gaming’ I’ll be doing this weekend is going to see the Michigan Wolverines play today, the Detroit Red Wings play tomorrow and then going to see my Detroit Lions take on Tampa Bay on Monday Night Football! As much as I'd enjoy remasters, I'd MUCH rather just have a new inFamous game all together. The market is plenty full of remade / remastered / recooked games.
