State of Play Confirmed for 24th September, 35 Minutes of PS5 News and Reveals

Really, really looking forward to Saros gameplay. Returnal is still my favourite PS5 exclusive and Housemarque are always brilliant.

Let’s see what they show

SAROS (game play) needs to be there for the love of god and all things holy. Wolerine should be there too (maybe the closer), and if rumours are to believe a special RE9 annoucement will happen there 👀and finally if we don't see Fairgame$ then I'm pretty sure it's been taken out back, and you know.....

I am only interested in Wolverine from a 1st party point of view, so I hope we get to see something of that.

I’m thinking Saros gameplay, Wolverine cinematic (though I think they should be showing gameplay at this point) and maybe a Venom one more thing… and Intergalactic at the game awards.

It would be great if people could read the article to see Saros is already confirmed for the show. 😂

Besides Saros, I'm expecting Marvel Tokon and Wolverine. I don't think we'll see anything else, though.

@Oram77 Saros is there. A whole 5 mins of Saros. Great news for me. Means its a A+ direct already.

Add a Tokon reveal or two, wolverine or that God of war game and it's a solid list

Remember guys.... go into it expecting the worst and hoping for the best...

that way you can't be too disappointed when it finishes

I would love to actually be surprised by something unknown that hasn't been spoilt by 'insiders'.

Saros gameplay reveal is a pleasant surprise, sweet! Hopefully Wolverine as rumored and I'm dying to see more intergalactic. But I think thats the kind of game that is saved for a more grander stage. So my guess is trailer #2 is at the game awards instead

@BearsEatBeets me too I'm with you 100%. Prob is, when you break down all PS studios, we know about everything. And the studios that were tied up, then discontinued on live service games, their next thing has barely been in full production. But there's always something 3rd party or timed excl. that could surprise.

Wishlist: FFVII part 3, new uncharted or remake of the first, revival of old IP made by a third party developer.

Looking forward to see what they will show.

@Oram77 @Americansamurai1 @DennisReynolds I'm with you guys. It seems its a combo platter of SoP's and their bigger stage will be the game awards. I mean when you show a brand new Naughty Dog IP at game awards, that pretty much seals it. So just think of the game awards as their showcase every year.

Sony should include one of those allergen warnings, "may contain traces of PS5 exclusive content"

Sarcasm aside, I know that Saros is included but roguelikes are simply not for me... Give me Wolverine news, God Of War news, hell even a new trailer for Yotei would be awesome, that would make the show worth watching.

Hmmm, keeping expectations low. But I say something Stellar Blade related and new characters announced for the Marvel fighting game.

@StitchJones Exactly, even if people don't want to admit that summer games fest and the game awards are bigger then any showcase could ever be.

Not to be too negative. But I'm keeping my expectations low, just as well so I won't be disappointed.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare To me the fact that they've already confirmed Saros gameplay indicates the opposite, i.e. that they have something else lined up as the show closer. Wolverine seems like the most likely candidate, but could be something completely different of course. We'll find out soon enough.

I can be excited for State of Plays and still be unaffected if they end up dissapointing. Not sure why that’s so hard for some people. Maybe just… not get too emotionally invested?

For the people that struggle with it, yeah its probably best to keep expectations in check.

And for the ones who can manage being hyped without having a breakdown if it doesnt meet your expectations, im with you guys! 😄

I rather enjoyed the very asian SoP we had last time with Nioh 3 among other awesome titles but the chance of there being a 2nd godly SoP like that right after is very low. So I'm just not gonna expect anything here lol

I can’t wait to see what Saros is, but I’ll be there day one regardless. Housemarque always delivers the goods. I honestly don’t care if they announce any other exclusive—I’m drowning in games as it is, so I have plenty to keep me busy for the very foreseeable future.

As for what i would like to see besides the Saros gameplay:

• Wolverine
• God of War 2.5D
• Marvel Tokon

That alone would already make it an A+ State of Play for me. And i know its just 35 mins long, and gonna be filled with third party. But if they add a gameplay reveal of Intergalactic or a teaser of what Santa Monica is working on.

Well then im going to need a new pair of pants 😅

Sekiro 2, Bloodborne 2, God of war Egypt, Last of us part 3, Spider man 3, Death Stranding 3, RED DEAD REDEMPTION 3! If we dont get those, massive L tomorrow

Bit short but tbh based on previous SOPs, I'm okay with it. Saros gameplay is all I'm after, my backlog is way too big for new game announcements

Excited to see Saros, and Wolverine(if it's in the show hopefully). I'm expecting Tokon, maybe Intergalactic and I wouldn't be surprised if Insomniac drops a Venom trailer as well.

God of war too but I'm not as hyped for the 2.5D game until I see a trailer for it.

Housemarque has earned enough of my trust to be hyped about what they do. I'll be tuning in to see what it's all about.
As for the rest, keeping my expectations low, so that everything else is a bonus.

VERY excited for Saros. Returnal is still one of THE best games of the generation imo.

I'll watch, 30 minutes at 5PM works for me. Don't care about Saros, not getting my hopes up for Wolverine, just planning on watching.

1 thing I do know for sure, a whole lot less junk than the Nintendo Direct had, plastic, cardboard, a flower and amiibo, oh my. 😂

With Saros already confirmed, i expect Tokon new characters and one surprised from 1st party either Wolverine release date or the rumor 2D GoW.

I don't have high expectations though but i think i will enjoy the event

I will be too busy playing Silent Hill F. And I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed Sony first party game, but it sure wasn't on PS5.

Glad they are showing Saros, hopefully that will release early 2026 then. Wonder if Wolverine still will be shown aswell, and if so, if its more than just a CGI trailer.

Love housemarque and i have no doubt Saros will be great which is why i dont need to see it.

The most anticipated thing for me is the potential to hear about the new ps+ games, they tend to announce the upcoming additions during these now and they also tend to make them much better than usual for these announcements.

Playing through Returnal rn and very much enjoying it so I'm very excited to see what they're doing with Saros. They're probably Sony's only western based studio that's making games that are unique and interesting right now.

Fairly short. Man, Sony have a LOT of catching up to do on the non Live Service front (aka: games I might actually play).

What's the longest gap between an extended look and release for previous first party games? I think it might be Forbidden West.

Looking forward to the Saros gameplay, hoping we might get another tidbit for intergalactic and a release date for phantom blade zero.

Saros finally! That 5 minute gameplay will be watched over and over by me lol. Returnal is one my favorite games this gen. Expectations are through the roof for me! Housemarque's games are just a blast to play.

No interest in Saros or Tokon, so I hope there’s something else new besides Wolverine. Will be interested to see some new potential big releases for 26/27.

Abandoned Returnal finally after having to go through long and tedious runs after runs just to get where I am currently "really" are. Hope they fixed the worst part of Returnal which is a very crucial mistake for a roguelike: Runs should be short!

Hope Wolverine is good. And I hope there is something more than these two to get excited.

The only slot on my calendar without a meeting already scheduled! Time slot is now blocked.

If we see the other 1st parties, sure, but not really interested in either. I watch the State of Plays to see what's available but not really care about any of it but go open minded just encase something comes up that is cool even if not my thing.

@Oram77 for sure. something had to take the place of E3. Personally, I still miss E3 and its been gone for ages now. It was just something to always look forward to and we were guaranteed that every E3 Sony would show their big guns cause thats what it was all about.

Hopefully Ace Combat 8 gets shown or a re-make of some sort. It's around the 30th Anniversary mark. VR missions would be a welcome return too!

That is literally all I care about.

Sony always says Europe is their biggest market for Playstation. And still central europe (with my country Sweden counted in) I need to watch this 23.00 (11 p.m) in the middle of the week.
Why can't it be just 2 hours or so earlier?
I watch it tomorrow after I read all the spoilers here as usual then....
