It seems as though Battlefield 6 is an enormous project for publisher EA, as it describes it as more of a platform than a singular game.
Responding to a question about the title's marketing push during an earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson talks up the company's big push behind the upcoming FPS, saying it's "investing more behind this Battlefield than any Battlefield product before it".
He says Battlefield Studios — a collective name for development teams DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect — is "building out Battlefield as a platform" this time around.

"As with how we’ve thought about marketing the product, we’re going to get right behind it. We’re all in as a company on it. You may have seen the release trailer just a week or so ago. That was very well received. Of course, it’s just a release trailer. Most of our gamers are sitting there waiting for the big reveal that comes in a couple of days."
Indeed, the multiplayer reveal is scheduled for tomorrow, 31st July, and it sounds like this will be the start of a huge marketing push behind Battlefield 6.
It's been in a closed testing phase through something called Battlefield Labs, and while some gameplay clips have leaked during that time, this week will see a big official blowout.
Wilson says "hundreds of creators and influencers" will be playing and streaming the game, providing a first proper look at the "true scale of what we’ve been building and get sneak peeks at what’s to come".
What we know right now is that Battlefield 6 will feature a single player campaign mode in addition to its multiplayer options, which may also include a battle royale mode.
