In Unsurprising News, Even More Xbox Ports Are Allegedly En Route to PS5 1

It used to be shocking when Xbox announced games for PS5, but it’s par for the course these days. We’ve seen titles like Forza Horizon 5 sell extraordinarily well on Sony’s system, and tentpole exlcusives like Gears of War Reloaded are on the way.

Now a throwaway remark from The Game Business journalist Chris Dring suggests more are coming, and could be announced imminently.

He wrote:

“Xbox is expected to announce more game ports to other platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5, in the coming weeks.”

Seeing as the Team in Green hasn’t announced anything for Switch 2 yet, we suspect this will include a number of games already available on the PS5, including the likes of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and DOOM: The Dark Ages.

But other probable PlayStation candidates include Starfield – which has been rumoured for eternity – South of Midnight, and the piece de resistance, Halo. There has been chatter of some kind of Combat Evolved remake when it comes to the latter.

We’d imagine announcements could be made at an imminent Nintendo Direct, or during Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show. Either way, watch this space, as it certainly seems like there’s more from Microsoft on the way.
