This is great news. We don't need any more PS4 Star Wars games, hopefully another year and a half (at least) until a new game means it'll be current gen only.

I forgot to download this one, I will now! Astro's Playroom and Mile Morales have implemented the activity cards and help cards really well, not really seen them on other games. As for the dualsense, your hands do have this weird painless slightly aching sense after 2 hours of gaming if you have the haptics on. I know a large amount of ps5 players don't use the haptics at all for this and other reasons. Here's hoping they aren't as wasted an opportunity as the light bar was on the dualshock 4 (only great examples of using it right were GTA V and Firewatch to my mind).

I predict this will definitely go down extremely well with people.

@mrtennis1990 honestly if I'd have seen the show without playing the games I'd have been bored. But playing the Witcher 3 for a while and then going into the show will probably help you to get more out of it.

A bit remiss to not mention the FANTASTIC score from the always on form Olivier Deriviere. It's such an important part of the experience.

Is Everybody's Gone to the Rapture a horror? Don't get me wrong, it's one of my favourite games of all time, and probably one of the best examples of science fiction across any medium in the last decade, but "horror" is... playing fast and loose there.

I don't mind waiting. Not sure what all the faux-outrage is about. Anytime I dip back in to GTA 5 I'm always seeing things I haven't seen before anyway, and with online I reckon I've only played about 20% of all the games modes or heists. Happy to wait as long as it'll be current-gen only.

Review numbers are by and large irrelevant, and completely arbitrary, but my god this game is great. Innovative, fast, gorgeous. The music and sound design are fantastic as well.

To be fair Abby is one of the best heroes with the best arc of the last generation. Knocked it out of the park.

How can you even tell if its working at 120 or 60?

This gen has been a con from Sony so far hasn't it.

@Sho101 not many. More than 80% never completed the campaign.

@get2sammyb I fully expect EA to cash in on this within 18 months or so with a current-gen upgrade tier, whenever there are enough games out to warrant it. £3.99 a month I think for EA Play? £6.99 a month to include current gen upgrades etc. I think they'd be daft not to.

@AgentGuapo see I'm the other way, I notice a huge difference between HD and UHD (although to be fair mine's a 55" LG B9), but can't tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps

Can't really blame Dice for sticking to multiplayer only. After people pretending to be outraged about no campaign in Battlefront they gave in and put a decent one in Battlefront 2, where just over a quarter of people completed it. Same with Battlefield V, less than 20% of players completed the campaign there. Stick to what they're good at. Can't wait!

Why would someone want to drop back down to 30fps? Isn't the smoother experience the best one? Unless you can only this one at 4k on 30fps?

Kinda pointless with the dualsense. The light bars are so small and thin you'd hardly notice it. Would've been much better implemented with the dualshock 4, where in a dark room it helps make a difference. The obvious (and only?) two examples of it being well done are Firewatch and GTA V.

Can we have a Yes/No column for 4k AND 60fps? The vast vast majority are either 4K OR 60fps. Struggling to think of a game where you can have both.

It would be an INCREDIBLE opportunity for PES to step in and stake a next-gen claim. If proper licenses aren't the be all end all and they missed a year out to create a new game then good luck to them.

@ralphdibny Switch Rumble HD is the benchmark. Astro's Playroom did a great job with the DualSense, although with so few native PS5 releases it's really gone ignored. I've had to turn off the vibrations on the dualsesne if I'm gonna play longer than an hour due to that grabby hands stiff feeling it gives you.

Great job mentioning Lopes and the music! Such an important part of the gaming experience yet hardly anyone mentions it in reviews and the like. Sonic Mania would've been a lot less fun without that banger of a soundtrack.

As always from Robert - it's a great article and I'm glad the writer's aren't too fanboyish to publish articles like these. Although as usual the options could've been distilled into three options The obvious answer is yes of course. Why can't I play my games on my phone like Xbox players can? The only reason is stubbornness. Why can't I play older games that I can prove I've bought? Stubbornness.

Watch Dogs 2 was so, so good and in spite of the active player base seems sort of harshly looked upon I reckon.

Excellent news. As good as the game currebtly is, it will be fun to go around the ridiculous open world in more than 20fps and with higher textures.

I don't get the pretending not to get it for comedic purposes ala some of the horrendous coverage of FFXV from certain outlets when it's various updates and dlc came out. "Aren't those Japanese developers SO wacky! Those idiots with their vastly culturally different viewpoints to game development on a mass market scale ahahahaha!" This will clearly be more of the same of what Final Fantasy 15 Mobile was.

Nier Automata was my 2nd or 3rd game of the generation so looking forward to this!

It's a great controller and well designed but after a 2 hour session my hands are starting to ache from it, they never have before. Maybe it's the rough texture mixed with the haptics.
