I actually gasped out loud when I saw this. I knew it had got a bad reception at launch but I thought something as big as any Battlefield would at least still be doing numbers!

A great excuse to revisit it! I still semi-reguarly spin the soundtrack on vinyl, completely underrated!

I'm not sure what the title is supposed to mean but this makes this PS Plus month absolutely awful. Would have been great if it wasn't already being added to EA Play. Also BF 2042 is decent and always has full teams despite the narrative. I don't necessarily like it and I have a lot more fun with Battlefield V and Battlefront 2015 even today, but yeah it's clearly not "awful".

We know it'll be The Last of Us Part I, we've all seen the hat Druckmann was wearing with it on. Bit daft to just not come out with it at this point.

@Splat I know what you mean. I kept my expectations in check and it ended up being a top 5 ps4 era game for me. As good as the updates were/are, I do kinda miss it.

I've dipped in and out of this since launch. Not tried the VR version yet. Easy to pick up but difficult to master and quirky as hell. A sad day!

I'm a PS Plus subscriber but I also have PS Now until October. Unsure how/if they'll migrate mine, and into which tier...

Good for them. They made a genuine world class and world popular product and they found a way to capitalise on it. The only mad thing about it is they didn't come up with it sooner. If this is your most played game then you'll love it, but if not then ignore, otherwise it's a bit "old man yells at cloud" energy.

Never been anti-building but it did damped my interest once I figured out I'd never win without being able to be good at that side of it. Gave the new mode a try last night and came 3rd and 5th so I might actually get a win this weekend!

That being said, I was always completely in awe of those who hear one bullet and then build a four storey fortress in seconds whilst shooting back.

@Medic_Alert ongoing games like No Man's Sky will definitely be compatible with the new controls, even if it does take them a bit of time to work it out post-launch. But yeah, playing Batman Arkham VR, Wipeout Omega and the rest of the hits in the resolution and fps that the devs intended/wanted will be mental!

Been dipping in and out of this game every now and then since launch, and I guess because of the sizeable density of the map I'm STILL seeing things I hadn't noticed before. Mental.

Waiting for the inevitable "PS5 owners who have claimed Resident Evil 7 as part of the Playstation Plus collection are not eligible for the free upgrade" to hit.

And to be fair, the biggest strength in the 2 & 3 remakes was the lighting, so I imagine the ray tracing will make them look absolutely ridiculous (and terrifying). Can't wait!

I'll miss the blue tracking lights aesthetic, but even in a few hours the new look is starting to grow on me.

Playing Batman Arkham VR, BEING the Batman was an incredible experience. PSVR was a worthy purchase even with it's questionable image quality. If they add backwards compatibility then PSVR2 is a day one purchase for me again.

Was 60fps an option on the previous version or was it locked to 30?

Big fan of this to be honest. It should be front and centre. Little common sense things like this are more than welcome.

Not as bothered by this as much as I am that I can't download Uncharted 4 again. I paid for it, it's mine. Disgusting practice. Sony are losing it.

Untitled Goose Game and Watch Dogs Legion are nailed on certs for PS Plus, whether it's this month or in the next year or so.

LiS Remastered has been available to pre-order for a while so it won't be that.

Nobody's mentioned Overwatch 2 (or 3, 4) yet. There's more of a playerbase to lose than people think.

I've had to sit on the Horizon VR news for about six months! It's going to be awesome.

PSVR2 in general it will be great to play the original PSVR backlog again but closer to what the devs originally visioned. Win win all round.

Scary to think this is what they can do when they don't really know how to get the best out of Unreal 5. Imagine what things will look like in 5 years' time when they really get digging into it.

To be fair it makes sense, I don't know if the PS Now stats are public but I can't imagine it's even a quarter of ps plus numbers. For good reason, too. I tried the first red dead redemption and it is stream only. On one of the biggest titles why on earth would you keep it to the lowest quality possible?

If Sony can recognise and sort out their greed, they could not only overtake Game Pass but set a new standard.

I love my PS5, mainly because I can play games from the last few years but with the bonus of of actually being able to hear the TV! The launch window has been pretty underwhelming when it comes to actual PS5 games - six, maybe seven next gen games in total? Which also goes a long way to explain the oft ignored new 3D audio tech, 99% of games played on a PS5 weren't designed with it in mind, not properly.

But yeah playing last gen games with frame rate boosts, pixel boosts and faster loading (arguably how the devs always hoped for?) has been pretty good. The first year is always a weird one, but just wait until games start being made in Unreal 5 with current gen tech. We thought games couldn't look better than TLOU2 or RDR2, these games will be made to look cute in comparison.

Anyone know if there's a 4k upload of this yet?

@chicken_chaser live service is great for online games, I don't think they'd survive without it. Yet to see it be implemented well in a linear (or semi-linear) story game, though.

@Integrity to be fair to PS, while the review of the game and failure to hammer the pay to win/gambling/psychological mechanics was lazy, it wasn't just this site - it was across the board (mostly - Eurogamer had a great review article on it). But yeah it's the same fifa as the last three years, a few patches won't change that.

Are there any aim assist options? Far Cry 5 was awesome but when it's ultimately a shooter - the very type of game that you SUCK at - it can make it harder to enjoy without a bit of assist.

7, 8, 9 & 10 were the golden age for me. 7 got me into the series when I was 11 but the series peaked with 15 for me.

Gotta love those contrarians giving it a low score to stand out. I'm not exactly a Far Cry fan but you can't deny they're exceptionally made games.

@nessisonett they absolutely can! In this game, Thanos is literally in love with Death (or Lady Death), just as he should be.

Detroit and Heavy Rain are some of the best narratives in gaming so I can't wait for this one!

The only downside being it's been in development for only a year - we've already seen just how amazing they can make a game look on PS4, would much prefer this to be a current-gen only title to push the visuals even further.

The prices of compatible SSD's made me instantly sweat loads.

Did Odyssey and Origins get one on PlayStation as well?

@zebric21 it's the 2019 LG B9 OLED... it should just about be able to keep up! VRR is the solution. Series X is fine with it on. Sony have promised the patch "soon" though.
