Re: The Last of Us Season 2 Debuts in 2025, Here's Your First Look

Loving the trailer. Still can’t get my head around just how great Bella was in season one. Considering her character turns from someone beloved into an even worse person than Joel it will be interesting to see if she can maintain the impossibly high standards she set for herself during the course of the series.

How did you decide on who got 1 & 2 both 9.3? I forgot how good Rise of the Tomb Raider was, if it weren’t for Uncharted 4 being so ridiculously OP it would have registered a lot better I think.

The pacing of 4 was its biggest strength. It finally took storytelling in the UC franchise seriously and it showed maturity that was lacking previously. It’s also got the biggest, best and smartest set pieces in its history.

@AverageGamer "Complaints of bloat in a huge jrpg are almost rediculous, it’s a pretty much an accepted part of the jrpg experience and part of the enjoyment of the title. It’s like asking Sega to make 'Like a Dragon' with just the story missions. Such people are missing the point and should just go play a narritive action game and leave jrpg's to those of us that enjoy the format.”

  • This. I played just the story missions because I didn't want it spoiled for me, the bloatiness is completely optional and it strikes the balance perfectly. Now I'm doing the tons of optional stuff on my second playthrough and loving it. History will indeed be very kind to this game.

"Wielding her infamous twin pistols" we see you push square 🤣 thus fictional character looks great - incels can do one.

Rise of the Tomb Raider us still criminally underrated, if it weren't for UC4 it would be more widely regarded I think. Shadow seemed to improve further on things so I'm looking forward to what they come up with next.

Great read, shame it's not up to scratch, but as a massive fan of the original when I was a kid ("it's like looking at real people! How can games look any better than this!") I'm still gonna check it out. I would argue that no matter how bad it is, it can't touch the reputation of the first, just like Fade to Black didn't. Kudos for mentioning the great music, too. Music and sound design is such an important part of any game experience and bizarrely ignored by 95% of reviewers.

Love this! I'm probably a couple of years older going off the story but pretty much v similar story around the same time, except it was FF7. What shop did you get that from? Electronics Boutique jumped out at me goddammit GAME and all your aggressive business practices!
