Never understood the complaints about that to be honest, it helped break the game up in a fresh way for me. A lot of it that I have seen basically boils down to "whY am i plAyiNg as A WOMAN it's an ageNDa it's supposed to be spiderMAN" etc etc.

Looking forward to this one. Thank you for bothering to mention the soundtrack as well! Modern reviews are still somewhat bewilderingly absent on the topic on the whole despite the OST and sound design playing such a pivotal role in the overall experience.

@TooBarFoo that's exactly what it is, it's to drive sales. It's seedy but I can only admire that level of successful cutthroatery.

Best things

1. Dualsense mic - talk to text, talk to friends etc.
2. New better, faster PS Store
3. Designed with 4k tvs in mind. Forward thinking - 4k adoption rate will be miles higher by the time most people have a PS5.
4. Trophy progression updates.
5. Main menu (finally) natively supports HDR straight out of the box
6. SPEED

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, less than four quid for one of the best science fiction experiences money can buy. Astounding value.

I mean, a 6 out of ten still means it's a very good game. It's just... such a pointless venture when it's not even as fulfilling, diverse or fun as Battlefront 2's Starfighter Assault. Such an odd decision to go ahead with making it at all.

Well worth a measly £15-£20 for a 60fps spider man full game. Anyone who says otherwise is high.

Will play NFS for about two hours to get a good few easy trophies then delete. Vampyr has an amazing ssoundtrack so hopefully it'll keep my attention for a few days

To be fair, Into the Spider-verse is essential. Best animation of the last decade by a mile.

Not sure why people are pretending to be outraged by this. It's a GTA V type of next-gen upgrade for fifteen quid, which is excellent value. The PS4 version will still be playable on the PS5.

@thefourfoldroot exactly. So, so much entitlement going around. MM isn't being sold as a full price PS5 game. We're getting a Last of Us Remastered/GTA V level of next gen upgrade on an already amazing existing game for fifteen quid. Amazing how many people are pretending not to understand this.

Seeing that huge Dune-esque sandworm in VR is going to be terrifying.

@JapaneseSonic yeah I mean, the games run fine and it's not constant dropping off, but with AK it's hugely noticeable with the frame drops and tearing whenever you're in the batmobile or fighting more than 3 enemies. With the Witcher, it's never hugely as smooth as it is on the Pro. TLG - let's not go there haha.

Arkham Knight, Witcher 3 and The Last Guardian are all I want. Going from a frankly terrible framerate on base PS4 to 30-60fps would be fantastic.

@FX102A they do only improve it every few years. Sadly, it's because they can get away with it.

It depends on the game. If someone who spends 12-15 hours a week on fifa bought the next fifa for £150 even, that's still top bang for your buck compared to paying £10 for a 2 hour movie at the cinema.

The lack of gameplay can only be down to one simple factor - it just isn't that impressive. Otherwise they'd be showing it before every youtube video, before every movie etc etc this close to pre-orders. Spider-Man will have better lighting (for those that can even discern it/have the high quality tvs that make a difference) and hopefully locked at 60fps, but after the way we've been spoilt rotten with this generation's exclusives, it will be difficult to show half a grand's worth of improvements on it.

@BranJ0 if you take the time to connect a decent headset to your PSVR whilst playing it, it just... it's one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Truly transportive and magical.

@GamingFan4Lyf I meant on PS4, which is why I mentioned 3D Audio and not Atmos.

@GamingFan4Lyf 3D audio is mostly irrelevant. So few games support the actual 3D audio software. Uncharted 4/LL, HZD, a few more. It never took off but the platinum headset massively improves games with its simulated 7.1 setting.

I thought I remembered playing this on the original playstation, but searching for it I can't find anything. It was an isometric-ish inner city cartoony game that I could've sworn had these two characters in.

The first one had the best stall at EGX 2016 hands down. Best physical marketing I've ever seen.

Pretty safe bet considering it won't happen. Honestly whatever they pay their community manager guy, he deserves more.
