Cyberpunk gets my vote but I was originally going to get both at launch since they were a month apart. Now I'll pick up FFVII down the road.

I've always enjoyed E3. It the biggest gaming event and something
to look forward to each year. Sony's absence sucks. If they put on their own conference/State of Play during that week then that's fine (albeit possibly less exciting given their SoP record) but if they're just not participating at all... I can only think that it'll make them less relevant during a period where everyone will be talking about the other big games and platforms.

If the only difference with most exclusive games are the visuals then they kind of have a point. Does the PS5 really stand that far above? Feels much like the skip from PS4 to the Pro. Or how some companies are too lazy to port to Switch even though it could be done.
I'll be getting a PS5 straight away anyway so it doesn't matter much to me.

FFVII, Cyberpunk, TLoU2, Ghost of Tsushima and the PS5. It's going to be one good year.

Hate GAME exclusives but since there's no alternative I've ordered one from there. I hope this either works with the Dualshock 5 or Sony releases a new version straight after the PS5 comes out.

I hope the Dualshock 5 comes with two 'paddle' buttons as standard or perhaps this will just work with the new controller too...

Did they take a bunch of the 10s out too? Cos it happened on both sides.

I'll never understand why Bayonetta had to be 'saved' or something by Nintendo and so never got sequels on PS4/XB1, the first game was imo the best the genre has to offer.
I've got a Switch and played Bayo2 on that but my God it would have been so much more spectacular on a PS4Pro.

What if it's a new IP and they're not just remastering something for once?

I was hoping next gen controllers would adopt paddles/triggers on the back like most 'elite' controllers do.

The gameplay was so boring, I really wasn't enjoying it even though I wanted to and had been looking forward to the game for some time.
It has a lot of positives; music, visuals, I like the actors and the weird setting. The gameplay though? A complete dealbreaker. Not fond of the social aspect either, which is a fairly integral point of the game...

So let's say they come out at about the same power and price points.
It'll come down to the games right? And everyone knows Sony has the best exclusives. Except... At the PS4 launch what did we have? Killzone, Knack and Resogun?
Long term we'll have them beat but if they say they're launching with a brand new Halo, what'll we have? That's the interesting question.

I wasn't enjoying Death Stranding so traded it in.
It reminds me of the parts of Red Dead 2 that bored me, slowly travelling from place to place. Felt like it was wasting so much of your time and that's basically all that Death Stranding is. Plus cutscenes and item management.

And I've liked interactive movies and walking simulators. This game made the walking a nuisance and was paced worse than David Cage games.

I think the scores might be legit. The game is so boring I just couldn't play anymore. Traded my copy in today.

Rivals and Most Wanted were loads of fun, the last two were disappointing, Good to see this one is getting better reviews... I'll still be waiting for a sale.

Nioh is good! But I already have it. Don't care about Outlast at all.

Between FFVII and Cyberpunk I'm fine with everything else getting delayed

As much as I want it to look sleek, it would sure be nice if it was ventilated well and didn't sound like an aircraft taking off with certain games.

I liked sharing the odd video or screenshot on FB, very weird to just suddenly remove the feature. Now I'll have to upload to... somewhere else? and link that on FB...

Hmm, a TLoU Battle Royale game doesn't sound bad at all...

The last State of Play was back in like May or something wasn't it? That's a long break from them, was hoping it'd be a bit more substantial. We knew it was going to be focused on TLoU2 but they didn't really give us a deep dive or developer comments/excitement or anything, just a new trailer with a date.
If they'd just released that trailer on it's own without the whole run up to a live stream people wouldn't have gotten their hopes up.

Since Sony are skipping E3 now are we only going to get news from these states of play? Should we not get excited at the possibility there will be one revealing the PS5 and other bombshell announcements? Say if the next one is in January?

I was disappointed because spec ops used to be 2-player missions, which I really enjoyed then they changed it into a horde mode I didn't care for. I was hoping for a return to the former.

Starting with whatever Humanity is, was a mistake.

The one thing I was worried about is the number of maps since they've got all these different sized game modes with their own maps: 2v2, 6v6 & 10v10, 32v32 & 20v20.
If I just want to play TDM I figured there might be fewer maps and I'd get bored quicker but this sounds promising.

I hope it's released a bit sooner. Give me at least a week to finish it before FFVII is out, otherwise I'll probably leave it until after Cyberpunk...

Aaaand it's out the same day as Death Stranding so I'll pick it up later on at a discount.

If only Breath of the Wild was on PS4 Pro level hardware, it'd look so amazing.

Nier? Looks (both gameplay-wise and visually) more like Code Vein to me with weightier, possibly dark souls-esque combat. I assume from the title that the main character might be an android and that's the connection?

The CNN article made sense, if the PS5 is prohibitively expensive and the Xbox 2 noticeably cheaper that's not going to be good for Sony.
Pretty sure they learnt that after the PS3's launch. It took them ages to build up momentum and hit the 360's numbers.

Doesn't seem that smart to me. One of the main reasons the PS4 did so well is that it launched cheaper than the xbox, which forced MS to remove the kinect and lower their price.
The reason the PS3 did so badly to start off with was it's initial high price.
The only way this would work is if the new Xbox is similarly priced so one doesn't look more attractive than the other.
Or in theory they could treat it like the PS4 Pro... I could see all games releasing at launch for PS5 also being available on PS4 so people won't feel a need to upgrade straight away.

I loved Terranigma by the same studio that did Actraiser but it doesn't look much like this.

Awesome. I love this series. It was a shame the second title ditched the Monster training aspects but I still enjoyed it regardless.

I've always been happy having a console and buying games, barely been paying attention to the streaming services as I think it's too soon for them based on internet speeds and a desire for as little lag as possible in the games I play most.
However my friend pointed out as an example, when the new Gears of War is on Microsoft's subscription thing we can pay like £10 for a month, play that one game and effectively save £40ish on buying the game properly, not to mention we can play it on PC since we don't have XBoxes.
I don't really see how this will be profitable for them but if streaming/subscriptions means super-cheap games then it'll really kick off.

They actually didn't say that they reduced them, they said they restricted them. Like, she's wearing a sports bra so they don't bounce all over the place, which makes sense considering she's fighting. Sports bras also make them appear smaller as in real life.

They're given more processing power to make games with, how they choose to use it and if the game is innovative or not is up to them.

And Stadia? I don't really see how it can do anything the PS5 can't be capable of. Or the new XBox.

Cyberpunk may well be the first game where I'm already thinking about multiple playthroughs before it's already out. I don't really play video games more than once as there's too many games and not enough time.
Buying it again on PS5 would definitely be a good reason to play through again with a different backstory and stats and making different choices though...

Nah, Sony would have just shown off the same games again anyway, it's too soon for the PS5 announcements. Do we expect any more Sony exclusives to be released for the PS4 that we don't already know about?

E3 was great, it's a shame Sony missed it.

I kind of hope either the PS5 is coming sooner than expected or this gets delayed close to it. I want to play it on something more powerful than the PS4 but it'll kill me to wait from April to say November.

I'm expecting a TLoU and it'll be FFVII Remake Part II
Then Part III... IV...

I was thinking the opposite watching Microsoft's conference, there were loads of good games shown off, details on the new console (I really think a big stage is best to announce such things and not a miss-able article), another studio acquisition, Keanu Reeves...

Sony on the other hand being completely absent doesn't look great : / Can't blame them though, they'd just have shown off the exact same games that were at E3 last year minus Days Gone, which wouldn't have gone down well.

I already think games can look amazing on the PS4 Pro so both consoles are going to surpass that whilst also loading quicker and having backwards compatibility.
Games are the key to choosing one over the other and xbox are moving in the right direction buying studios, you've got to give them that.
I wonder what Sony are planning for it's launch to compete with Halo... PS4's launch relied on multiplatform games and Knack lol. They need a heavy hitter to sell consoles.

I didn't expect much and ended up really enjoying it.
Would have gone even better if the Bandai Namco games hadn't leaked.
Phantasy Star and Dragon Ball were surprises. Enjoyed seeing Cyberpunk and Keanu a lot. Didn't expect any gameplay for Elden Rings, just like when Bloodborne was announced.

So envious of their Elite controller. Sony need to get an official one made already.

No Splinter Cell Battle Royale in the works?

Am I missing something or we can't compare this list with the physical one as there are no actual sales figures just a ranking?
