Your character in Cyberpunk 2077 is fully customisable, but you have to start from somewhere. CD Projekt RED will have a default male and female version of V, which you can then take and rework to your liking, but these standard models need to look good themselves. You'll be pretty familiar with the male V, who's shown on the default cover art for the game, but what about female V? The developer has revealed an updated look for this version of the protagonist:
The Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account revealed the new look for female V yesterday which, appropriately enough, was International Women's Day. It was also re-confirmed that the game will feature reversible cover art, meaning you can choose your preferred character to adorn the box.
What do you think of female V's updated look? Will you choose her or male V for your box cover? Make your decision in the comments below.

whats the point in charactor customisation when the game is in 1st person? great logic cdpr
@pimpjuice
Cut scenes.
@Dominatso Mirrors too.
Eh, I’ll be making her look better than that. I’m not a fan of the defaults, they’re a bit kinda 2009.
I preferred the lass from the 2018 gameplay demo. I love customising characters but I was willing to keep that default female V because she looked so good.
@DonJorginho
That too ^^
@ApostateMage Yeah, same here. The previous one is basically the appearance I'd have aimed for even if it wasn't a default.
Both designs are generic and boring. And as far as how it affects actual gameplay, considering the first person perspective, it really doesn't matter. I'll choose the boring default male character over the boring female character and that will be that.
@Matroska I'll be honest, if the original V design isn't available as a preset then I'm going to be a bit gutted. It reminds me of how our customised Femshep changed each time you imported her into the Mass Effect sequels.
@ApostateMage Well, it shouldn't be too hard to recreate any character, and otherwise there will be a YouTube tutorial on how to do it.
It's way cooler than the generic male version, this will be my V in the game 😃
It looks worse than before? : /
FFS the original Fem V was so much better, like ApostateMage said if the original is not in the game I am going to be pissed.
@Shepherd_Tallon @Dominatso you guys are forgetting cutscenes are going to be in first person too
@prop6g6nd6 Yea I completely forgot about that, really defeats the point of customization in the first place if you can only see it in menu or mirrors etc
Looks great! Looks a bit rougher, more real. I like it! But im going to customize her like crazy
I like it, can't wait to play this game.
I prefer the new look. Liked old V, but like new V more. Once I saw the old 45 minute demo with female V it was inevitable I'd play thru as her.
Just don't change the voice actors:
"Don't spend it all on scotch"
"Got me confused with someone else, Jackie. I'm cleaner than a c*** in a convent"
@NotSmartEnough Cherami Leigh is a great VA. She also voiced Gaige from Borderlands 2, A2 from NieR Automata and of course Makoto from Persona 5.
Original better, can't wait to spend 14 hours creating my ideal female character - 190 days, 7 hours and 16 minutes to go!
She looks amazing and I'm using her as my wallpaper now. I love how the slightest of alterations gave her more pop and make her stand out more. I totally back this change, she looks like a total rebel badass while remaining attractive. The strawberry hair is dope.
@pimpjuice So you can whine.
@nessisonett cool story bro
