Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Final Fantasy VII Remake’s well-publicised Butterfinger promotion is turning into something of a nightmare for fans of Square Enix’s legendary role-playing game. As recently explained, players were urged to pick up two or more bars of candy and share a picture of their receipt in return for in-game rewards – and a nifty looking Tifa dynamic theme.

Unfortunately, the process sounds like a mess. There are dozens of reports of organiser PrizeLogic outright rejecting legitimate claims all around the web, while others have received blank spaces in place of redeemable PlayStation Store codes. Despite the mix-up, PrizeLogic is yet to comment on what’s been going on behind-the-scenes.

We’ll try to get a little more information from the organisation and will update this article once we know more. The promotion will run through 14th May, so there’s plenty of time for it to get things in order yet. In the meantime, enjoy chomping down on your chocolate – a nutritious bar of Baby Ruth is hardly the worst punishment in the world, is it?
