I just want them to release a back button attachment again, that was perfect for the DS4. If they didn't make the DS4 incompatible with PS5 games I'd still be using it even though the dualsense is nicer.

I like the last of us but I reeeeally was looking forward to seeing a new IP from them next, we didn't get one last gen.

If it was a different time or that late but on Friday/Saturday instead of a Thursday I'd watch it.

Have people finished it already? It'll be a while before I do and could give a score. Same goes for The Game Awards, I wouldn't vote for something I haven't finished.

Don't forget if you get the PS5 version of the game you can no longer use your PS4 controller (for no good reason), which matters if you're used to using back-buttons.

Have they mentioned anything about doing a PS5 version of the back button attachment? Wouldn't surprise me if one gets announced right after people have taken the plunge and bought this Pro controller...

Kinda worried about how close to release this was left before any advertising... I thought it had been delayed into next year.

If this was happening for the launch of the PS4 and CoD was becoming XBox-exclusive it'd be massive. I and many others I know probably would have stuck with XBox instead of swapping over to PS after the 360.
Now though? For me personally I've lost interest in the franchise and the PS 1st party exclusives are too good to miss out on. If anything it's an opportunity for Sony to create their own new FPS IP as an alternative, which Deviation Games may currently be working on.

For a lot of people though, CoD being exclusive will pull players from PS over to XBox the next time we have a console launch.

So has this studio actually made any games? Just tried Googling them and their site doesn't list any?

The Xbox pro controller does look a lot more premium/of an upgrade compared to the standard controller, whereas this one just looks like the standard controller with a different colour touchpad.
Not a bad thing as I like the normal controller but yeah It'd be nice if this wasn't gauging you price-wise...

It is pretty annoying how digital prices are higher than physical unless there’s a Sale on, and even then… Same goes for books.
The big scam imo is being forced to pay to play online on console.

Meanwhile I only watched the Soul Calibur one.

Wow. That many people are both paying more on average than buying physically and also not having the option to lend or sell your games.

It is really convenient for online multiplayer games you play regularly though rather than having to swap discs around. Most live service games are digital only though anyway.

Really interested in this but playing other stuff at the moment so not going to be a day 1 purchase, will hopefully get it pretty soon after if it reviews well.

Same goes for Sony charging more for the PS5 versions of their games. Why was it only Horizon that they backtracked on?

Is this free to play at least? I'll give it a go if so.

I'd been wanting Sony to do a Pro controller for aaaages, then they released the back buttons and to be honest, I was perfectly happy with them as a much cheaper alternative.
Then they made the PS4 controller (with back buttons) not work with PS5 games for no good reason and still haven't released back buttons for the PS5 even though they sold out on PS4.

Worried how much the pro controller is going to go for, maybe they'll release back buttons at last alongside it?

Too many horror games (which I don't personally care about). Bummed we didn't see Factions. Even without it leaking another re-release of TLoU isn't that exciting.
The dark fantasy shooter game looked kinda cool but seems far off for console still.
I've been enjoying the SF6 trailers but that was just like the first 3 minutes lol

I've already played the games, why would I need to watch a TV show attempt to condense it with actors that might almost resemble the characters if you're lucky?

Paying to play online has always seemed like a scam. Xbox started it and then Sony and Nintendo wanted some of that money. Do we actually know where it gets spent? If a publisher sets up dedicated servers for us to play online does the money actually get to them or stays with Sony?

Took me a while to realise I'd only really been playing F2P titles and didn't need PS+ to play online. I haven't missed not having the free games, which I rarely ever bothered with.

Makes me wonder, as Sony is developing a lot of live service (presumably F2P) titles if they'll be the same or maybe they're planning on making them only 'free' with PS+...

Looks interesting, are the titles standalone or you need to play previous games to understand the story etc?

They sold Tomb Raider but kept this? How strange. Or I guess, maybe no-one wanted it...

I'd be very surprised if it comes out this year. They've already got Forspoken coming, space your big JRPGs out a bit. Give us something at like the midpoint between Forspoken and FFVII-2

Aren't free to play games already making more money than other types of games? Do Fortnite and Genshin Impact really need this? Or is it Sony who feels like they're not making enough from them...

Elden Ring, easily.
Now that Zelda has been delayed into next year the only competition for GOTY looks like God of War, assuming that doesn't get delayed also.

There might be an increase in Horizon sales once more people have finished Elden Ring, though I could probably do with not getting another massive open world game straight after...

It's not wrong. Your average parent buying a console for their kid so they can play CoD with their friends would want to be warned as much, otherwise they'll have to buy a different expensive machine.
A lot of people out there still mainly just play CoD and get the new one every year.

Playstation losing CoD could finally give some new shooter IPs a chance like what Deviation are making, also the other studio Sony partnered with Firewalk.
A bunch of Respawn devs have left Apex recently too and joined a new company, excited to see what comes of that.

PS2? Reminds me of a couple 360 games.
Though for some reason it's reminding me more of Oneechanbara, which I didn't like as opposed to Lollipop Chainsaw, which was lots of fun.

The only game that I'll probably shell out £70 for because I want it day 1 will be God of War.
I waited almost a year for Miles Morales to be the £30ish I felt it should have been (the same as the Uncharted Lost Legacy price since it's not full game length).
The new RRP is too expensive and I hope games are selling worse at launch so they adjust accordingly.
It's also a problem with Nintendo titles tbh, there are some games I'm interested in trying or ports of old games that I'm not paying full price for and they never go cheap.

Ah, I wondered why it was out this month but you couldn't preorder it.

So strange it's not confirmed for a global release, I know there's no way we'd get the MMO but an offline version seems to be the solution they needed to release it over here.
Makes less sense releasing it only in Japan as they can already play the entire story content of this game for free in the Online version instead of paying full price for what is essentially a remake with (debatably) worse graphics...

'Fun for all' With the least fun looking logo I could imagine.
In fact to me it screams 'we are now a professional company' and not a company that makes fun, anime games.
I wasn't a big fan of their original logo but it's way better and more distinctive.

Returned the original game after a couple of days, gameplay was not for me at all, even though the visuals, acting, story, music were all appealing it wasn't enough to make up for how dull and annoying the gameplay was.

They could do like Apex and just release out of nowhere, polished and ready to play.
I'm still expecting the multiplayer TLoU to be a Battle Royale.

I bought Japan Studio games

I don't agree with £70 games, so far I've waited on a sale for all the PS5 games I've bought rather than paying that.
I fully expected Sony to be doing what Xbox's Smart Delivery is, just without the marketing term.
I also think Sony know our expectations perfectly well and are trying to get away with whatever they can knowing they can backtrack if there's enough fuss, like they've done.

Make it cheaper? Actually have a base line, no PS+ games or anything else model for those that are only paying to play online.
