Didn’t watch the show, but I watched some of the highlights afterwards. It was ok. I think everyone’s 2021 expectations are just still too high. I am looking forward to the Persona 25 celebration.

I’d like to see lots of weird stuff. Indies. Games requiring weird hardware attachments (maracas, power pads, etc). Indies being allowed to mess with PS franchises (HZD turn based?). More 2 player games. Stuff that is over-the-top joyful like Astro — maybe preview Team Asobi’s new thing. Stuff that connects your phone (in-world murder mystery?). Just go nuts. Don’t take everything so seriously. Playstation is a toy.

@get2sammyb part of that observed dissatisfaction is collection bias. Content people generally don’t write comments. They are too busy playing or living the rest of life.

I want new franchises, indies, VR previews, and wacky stuff. Minimal time on sequels and existing franchises.

I think it’s fine as-is and would have liked that option.

Part of it has to be the fact that the people buying it probably were or would be the most active and engaged Ps4 users. I think there is a collection bias issue. Put another way, what specific about PS5 is making people behave differently?

It was bad. I am so over trailers and teasers for games with release dates more than 6-9 months out.

That’s disappointing because that suggests we’re not gonna see this game for a long long time. It also seems a little unnecessary as Dragon Quest was never a strong contender on driving graphics and could push UE4 a lot harder.

Coming from Switch Online I have a hard time ever being upset about getting free games... just finished Control and that was delightful.

Games should respect your time. All games should be instantly saveable. It’s for accessibility. The power could go out. The internet can go down. Your family member might play on the system in-between while you are out of the house. Etc.

@Northern_munkey the site asked what I wanted not “what I wanted with special conditions like your approval” or “what I wanted that was a big deal.” You are right it’s mostly a simple fix — don’t keep discs in the drive, but I want it. And a lot of people want it. We don’t need to shame people for wanting something. My wants don’t mean yours are less important. The world is big.

Depends completely on the genre. If the gameplay isn’t twitchy and the camera is fairly static then 30fps is fine.

I don’t think I would pay $400 to play one video game, even if it was fantastic. But get this and a few others and backwards compatibility and yeah, it would be a much easier sell.

beat it early this morning. I really enjoyed it. With Game Help it took about 3 hours. Did get stuck once and had a few bugs towards the very end. Beautiful design, story was simple but compelling, world was fun to be in. +1 Would work great in VR.

Mostly stuff we already know about and Ps Plus games. If we get 1-2 interesting tidbits it will be good. A B event would be great.

I want random disc spinning fixed as mentioned above. Disc drive randomly spins for a minute during digital games (eg playing Persona with FF7R disc in).

Also, wishlists. They are still messy. Sync them with the app and... I can’t remove games from my wishlist once I own them. The remove from wishlist button disappears. Sigh. I am glad I have psprices.com

I have a PS5 but I didn’t want to respond to this poll because I don’t have enough PlayStation 5 games yet to make a real assessment. Maybe ask again in a year or two years?

It’s a mess. I am using the PS5 wishlist feature cause the website, app, and PS5 store are failing me. I guess I save cash cause I can’t find new sales? That’s why game makers offer sales, right? So no one can find their games?

yes AND ... after reading the article and scrolling through 100 comments one thing that has gone unsaid is the Returnal marketing is really lacking. Same for Destruction All Stars. If a publisher wants to ask for $70 that is their call, but they need to recognize they will have to justify the cost to consumers. I haven’t seen anyone put in the work there. Showing two teaser trailers with little gameplay isn’t going to cut it. Their marketing departments need to step up. Maybe the game is worth it but after watching the two trailers I know almost nothing about the game. Timeloop, surprise face, boom boom, repeat. Gotta distinguish yourself from the competition. I am more excited by Kena and Seasons imo.

@Tharsman yeah, I just wish they found a softer way to do this. Like give advance warning? I think the vast majority of potential owners will want the new version. But a small percent of a large population is still a lot of people.

when my daughter is playing Dreams (using speakers or headphones) II can hear it from 20 feet. It makes me question if I have super hearing.

my system has it. I can hear my ps5 from 6-10 feet away. I would like to pretend I have superpower hearing abilities, but I don’t. I am disappointed that it’s not as quiet as reviewers led me to believe, but it’s still fairly quiet compared to many other things in my house. My fridge in the other room can drown it out.

@God_of_Nowt Maybe? I think the genuine concern is someone bought a dud and it dies an early death or starts malfunctioning right after the warranty expires. It’s expensive. My Ps5 is much louder than I expected based on comments. I can easily hear mine from 5 feet away even while playing. It’s not a big deal. Speaking for myself I just want it to last because it’s going to get a ton of use.
