Trying to finish Sekiro. I’ve not loved it to be honest. I’m just going for the easiest/worst shura ending because I’m done with it but I’m currently stuck on the boss.
Managed to get a PS5 for my mate and lent him Returnal so also coaching him through that which is fun
@BrotherFilmriss my latest attempt is on PS5 and it’s def smoother. The problem I’m having at the mo is that I’m maybe halfway through and am trying to relearn the combat after a long break. Currently stuck on some guy with a giant spear: lord of the Seven or something like that.
I’m optimistic about Elden Ring. It looks amazing. Have you played the Beta?
Trying to get back into Sekiro after abandoning it about half way through last year. It’s still not clicking for me which is really annoying as I’ve beaten all the other From Software games. I want to like it but I think it’s just too different and I can’t get my head around the combat.
Hoping I don’t have similar issues with Elden Ring.
Finished RE 2 remake this week. I enjoyed it but WHY does Leon move so slowly!!! Final boss was a little underwhelming but the final sequence of the game was pretty epic.
Not sure what to play next. Sekiro (gave up about ten hours in) Demon souls (2nd playthrough) AC Valhalla or Castlevania SoTN?
Finally beat Returnal last week. Def my game of the year so far.
Playing through Aria of Sorrow on switch which feels like the right platform for that game.
RE2 Remake on PS5. RE2 is one of my favourite games of all time and the remake is good but I have to confess that I’m finding it a little slow/boring at times. I don’t think going straight to this after Returnal was necessarily the best decision.
I’ve been away in Wales this week so have been enjoying some Metroid fusion and Zelda Minish Cap on the iPad with PS5 controller which has been great. When I get home it’s back to getting my ass handed to me in Returnal
This week I’ve been playing returnal and am embarrassed to admit it’s taken me more than 20 hours to beat the first biome…
I’m hoping it’s like bloodborne where it took me forever to beat father gascoine at which point everything clicked and I flew through the rest of the game
Got to the end of my second run through of Bloodborne and chose a different dialogue option at the end so now I’m having to fight Gerhman (I didn’t last time) and he is tough as nails!!
I was doing so well with an 18 hour run that will now probably end up taking me 25 hours
Not had any gaming time recently. I’ll prob spend a bit more time in tony hawks 2. Think I’ve completed about 2/3 of the challenges so far and have really enjoyed it.
Looking for something new to get into. I’m intrigued by mass effect but it feels like a bit too much of a gamble at the price
Finished tony hawks 1 but wanting a change before moving onto 2 so I downloaded a load of games from PS collection. Nothing’s stuck so far so I’m feeling a bit in limbo
Downloaded the demo last night and played for ten minutes before giving up because it made me feel sick. I seem to react to first person games in the same way I react to virtual reality - with chronic motion sickness.
So I won’t be buying it which is disappointing as I love the old 3rd person games so much.
Tony hawks on PS5 which is awesome and full of nostalgia for me. I paid for the PS5 upgrade but quite honestly I can’t tell the difference.
I’ll be taking my switch away with me for a couple of days so I’m going to start another playthrough of Dark Souls but so far I’m struggling to adjust to 30fps
Still working my way through Nioh. I’m running out of steam with it a bit on the fifth area. I’d like some more enemy variety and the constant inventory management is getting a little tiresome.
I’ll keep plodding through as I’m still enjoying it but I’m not 100% I’ll make it to the end.
Working my way through Nioh this weekend. I’m currently stuck on some kind of water slug boss which is driving me mad. So far I’m really enjoying the game but it is very complex and I haven’t got my head around all the menus and mechanics yet
Started and finished FF7 remake this week: great game, some annoying padding and the end stretched on a bit too long but despite that it’s probably my favourite RPG of its type.
Working my way through Nioh now and loving it. Just beat the second boss who gave me some trouble
Finished Dark Souls 2 thus completing my first playthrough of all the From Software Soulsborne games (I haven’t finished Sekiro and may not go back to it)
3 hours into FF7 Remake and loving it so far. Also downloaded Nioh for my next Souls fix.
I’ve always been someone who buys physical because I don’t keep many games and like to trade them in for something now. The pandemic has changed that and most of my purchases this year have been digital, partly because there’s been some really good sales. I’ve found myself enjoying the ability to switch between games without having to change disks. I wouldn’t pay full price for a digital copy of a game. Demon Souls is the only disk game I have on PS5
I wasn’t even aware Elden Ring was a thing until about 6 weeks ago. I’m already impatient for news. Almost finished DS2 which is the last From Soulsborne game I haven’t completed.
Trying to finish AC Odyssey. Been ready to finish the game for a few days but I’m massively under levelled so having to grind like a mofo to get where I need to be. I’ve enjoyed it but damn is it looong.
After Odyssey I’ll be finishing collecting puzzle pieces in Astro’s playground.
I need something short as a refresher before I start Demon Souls. So far I’m considering Shadow of the Colossus or Control but which to go for???
Bought Yakuza 0 in the sale so that’s going on the backlog for a while whilst I tackle my first play through of AC odyssey (such a stunning looking game)
Hoping to receive my PS5 next week so will def be putting everything aside to play Demon Souls
Almost finished Uncharted 4 which has had some great moments and looks incredible but has also bored me at times with far too many repetitive climbing sections.

@Shepherd_Tallon same. It’s on my wish list so I’m happy with that
Re: Hands On: FromSoftware Puts Its All into Elden Ring
@sanguinekhajiit I’d stock up on some spare controllers if you’re going to carry on playing

Resident Evil 2 remake and symphony of the night on PS5 - both great so far
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 396
Finally reached the last biome of Returnal this week but didn’t make it through. I think I’ve prob logged 80 hours so far.
I’ve beaten all of the soulsborne games but this is next level challenging. I really love it though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 394
Still Returnal.. finally got to boss of biome 3 and almost beat him. It’s a savage game.
Re: PS Store Double Discounts Sale Has 500+ PS5, PS4 Deals That Get Better with PS Plus
Tempted by mortal shell but getting my ass handed to me by Returnal is probably going to keep me busy for the foreseeable.

Off to Wales for a week and will be playing some GBA classics starting with Minis Cap
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 388
I’ve had a truly awful week so I think I need something fun and mindless. I might get stuck into fifa or tony hawks again. Tempted to buy UFC 4

Carrying on my second playthrough of Bloodborne and dabbling with Ratchet and Clank on PS5.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 380
Ratchet and clank should be waiting for me when I get home from a lovely trip away
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 379
I will mainly be missing my PS5 this week as I’m away. I will carry on my playthrough of Dark Souls on Switch.
I’ve been replaying bloodborne on PS5 and loving it just as much second time round. I wish they would bring out a 60fps patch for it though.

Struggling to get into a single player story game at the mo so just playing through tony hawks 2 and FIFA 21
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 376
Finished tony hawks 1 but wanting a change before moving onto 2 so I downloaded a load of games from PS collection. Nothing’s stuck so far so I’m feeling a bit in limbo
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 375
Unfortunately resident evil village gives me motion sickness, so not that.
I’m working my way slowly through Tony Hawks 1 at the moment but struggling to get some of the ‘sick scores’
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Resident Evil Village?
I was on the fence due to it being first person.
Downloaded the demo last night and played for ten minutes before giving up because it made me feel sick. I seem to react to first person games in the same way I react to virtual reality - with chronic motion sickness.

I’ve not been playing anything this week. 3/4 of the way through Nioh so might hop back on that
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 370

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 369
@gamiller1978 thanks! I didn’t know that was there. Thought I was pretty far through but apparently I’ve only done 35%
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 369
Nioh for me then I’m probably going to mop up some bits I left unfinished in GoT before lending it to a friend. Lots of samurai action
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 369
@gamiller1978 how do you check this?
Re: PS4 Masterpiece Bloodborne Turns Six Years Old Today
This game has a lot to answer for.... it was my first Soulsborne game.
I’ve since gone on to complete DS1/DS2/DS3/Demon souls and am currently playing Nioh - This is all in the last 8-9 months!
Only one I didn’t stick with was Sekiro but I’ll probably return to it at some point.
So much pain and frustration!
I hope they give it a PS5 upgrade so I have an excuse to go back to it
Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 on PS5 Supports Cross-Save, Activity Cards, DualSense, and More
I spent so much time on these games as a teenager but I’ve been holding off for a sale as I’m not sure how much I’ll play them now.
Very tempted by PS5 version though....

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 368
@Arugula agreed. I prefer Tomb Raider personally
Re: PS Store Mega March Sale Is a Banger, Lots of Good PS5, PS4 Deals
I’ll probably pick up streets of rage 4 at that price. I couldn’t justify £30 for such a short game
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 367
I tried death stranding this week and gave up on it after 2-3 hours. Not a fan
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 367

Re: Bloodborne PS5 Version Spotted on PlayStation Store, But It's Probably a Bug
@Bliquid load times are quite a bit quicker. If they could do a PS5 version with virtually no load times that would make the game so much better.
40 second wait every time you die on PS4 slim is painful
Re: Bloodborne PS5 Version Spotted on PlayStation Store, But It's Probably a Bug
I can’t see it getting a full remake with it being such a modern game but I’d get straight back in for 60fps and a resolution boost.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 366
Finished Dark Souls 2 thus completing my first playthrough of all the From Software Soulsborne games (I haven’t finished Sekiro and may not go back to it)
3 hours into FF7 Remake and loving it so far. Also downloaded Nioh for my next Souls fix.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 365
Working my way through Dark Souls 2. Next up is probably FFVII Remake now it’s on PS Plus
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 364
I beat Demon Souls earlier in the week, dabbled a bit with Control and FIFA 21 before giving in and buying Dark Souls 2...
why do I do this to myself?
Once I finish DS2 I will have beaten all the Soulsborne games. Not sure I can handle going back to try Sekiro again.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 363
Demon Souls on PS5. Love how smooth and responsive it is but my god is it hard!! I’ve completed BB, DS1 & DS3 but this one is really challenging me
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 362

About half way through AC odyssey. I’m missing adaptive triggers already after playing Astro’s playroom.
Demon souls up next
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 360
Bought Yakuza 0 in the sale so that’s going on the backlog for a while whilst I tackle my first play through of AC odyssey (such a stunning looking game)
Hoping to receive my PS5 next week so will def be putting everything aside to play Demon Souls
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 359
Dark Souls Remastered which is both amazing and soul crushing at the same time. Just reached the Painted World.
Next up I fancy something open world. Thinking GTA V (which I’ve never played), MGS V, assassins creed odyssey. Happy to take recommendations
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 358
Almost finished Uncharted 4 which has had some great moments and looks incredible but has also bored me at times with far too many repetitive climbing sections.
Dark Souls Remastered is up next
