Re: Poll: Did You Buy Resident Evil Village?

SterlingEyes

I was on the fence due to it being first person.

Downloaded the demo last night and played for ten minutes before giving up because it made me feel sick. I seem to react to first person games in the same way I react to virtual reality - with chronic motion sickness.

So I won’t be buying it which is disappointing as I love the old 3rd person games so much.

Tony hawks on PS5 which is awesome and full of nostalgia for me. I paid for the PS5 upgrade but quite honestly I can’t tell the difference.

I’ll be taking my switch away with me for a couple of days so I’m going to start another playthrough of Dark Souls but so far I’m struggling to adjust to 30fps

Re: PS4 Masterpiece Bloodborne Turns Six Years Old Today

This game has a lot to answer for.... it was my first Soulsborne game.

I’ve since gone on to complete DS1/DS2/DS3/Demon souls and am currently playing Nioh - This is all in the last 8-9 months!

Only one I didn’t stick with was Sekiro but I’ll probably return to it at some point.

So much pain and frustration!

I hope they give it a PS5 upgrade so I have an excuse to go back to it

Re: Last Year, the UK's Gaming Purchases Were 85 Per Cent Digital

SterlingEyes

I’ve always been someone who buys physical because I don’t keep many games and like to trade them in for something now. The pandemic has changed that and most of my purchases this year have been digital, partly because there’s been some really good sales. I’ve found myself enjoying the ability to switch between games without having to change disks.
I wouldn’t pay full price for a digital copy of a game. Demon Souls is the only disk game I have on PS5

Trying to finish AC Odyssey. Been ready to finish the game for a few days but I’m massively under levelled so having to grind like a mofo to get where I need to be. I’ve enjoyed it but damn is it looong.

After Odyssey I’ll be finishing collecting puzzle pieces in Astro’s playground.

I need something short as a refresher before I start Demon Souls. So far I’m considering Shadow of the Colossus or Control but which to go for???

Re: The Last of Us 2 Dominates Game Awards 2020 Nominations

@James_42 no, my point was more that I don’t know if I would’ve enjoyed GoT as much if I’d started playing From Software games first because combat is so much more intricate in FS games.

GoT has really a really fun combat system for an open world game with some cool features such as switching stances for different enemy types but it’s still more ‘hack n slash’ And much easier in general.

I loved GoT and highly recommend it but it’s not at all like From Software. It’s just different.

TLOU2 is clearly incredibly well made and pushed the boundaries of story telling in video games I just found it far too bleak and didn’t enjoy playing it.

GoT is my personal game of the year. It’s my favourite open world game if all time and just fun to play from beginning to end.

I’ve recently got the bug for From Software games and I wonder if that would’ve effected how much I enjoyed GoT’s combat had I played them the other way round...
