After the complete dud that was the PlayStation Store Prequels & Sequels sale, Sony has absolutely returned to form this week with a new slate of discounts to mark the month of March. Conveniently titled the Mega March sale, it cuts the price of more than 400 PS5 and PS4 games through until midnight on 1st April 2021. The sale is live right now across the UK, EU, and US storefronts, so with lots of price drops to make a note of, let's get right into things.
As far as PS5 titles are concerned, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is already discounted just one month after release, taking the price all the way down to £24.74/$29.99. The romantic Haven is then cut in price to £15.99/$19.99, Override 2: Super Mech League comes in at £16.24/$19.49, and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is £26.24/$29.99. We also have Warhammer: Chaosbane for £19.99/$29.99 and WRC 9 priced at £17.49/$19.99. Ride 4 rounds out most of the PS5 deals at £29.99/$29.99 while the Next Level Bundle for Borderlands 3 can be picked up for £21.44/$24.49.
Then there are the PS4 games, which see Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered drop to £17.49/$19.99, Streets of Rage 4 at its lowest price yet of £12.99/$16.24, and Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age with a small discount down to £27.99/$31.99. Then there's Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 for only £1.04 (not a typo), .hack//G.U. Last Recode at £4.49/$9.99, and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for £2.39/$2.99. Adventure games also see some love with Day of the Tentacle Remastered slashed in price to £1.79/$2.24 and Grim Fandango Remastered for £2.39/$2.99. There's also Empire of Sin coming in at £24.49/$27.99, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope for £16.49/$19.79, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey for £16.74/$14.99 in terms of bigger titles.
To take a look at every PS5 and PS4 game included in the Mega March sale, UK and EU users should head on through here while US readers can use this link. If you can't find anything you like though, don't forget the PS Store Prequels and Sequels sale still has another week left. What will you be buying this time around? I loved Streets of Rage 4. Easily worth its asking price.
I played it in the last couple of months with my kids and now I can’t wait for the new TMNT game.
Street of rage 4 is a instant classic.make me miss the sega genesis more.and the 1990s also.shout out to all my friends that had a sega genesis in new york in the 1990s.word up 👑 son
What is that Werewolf game? Is it good?
AI The Somnium Files is down to £19.99 - awesome game.
Apparently Need for Speed Hot Pursuit remaster now has a new 'maximum' 4K60fps setting patched in for PS5 to take advantage of (and PS4 pro) so will give that a go and relive some of the old Burnout feelings again.
By the way, Ace Combat 7 deluxe is a BOGOF as I believe in UK PSN store at least you still get the Ace Combat 5 remaster free too. Although it doesn't say it anywhere, Bandai never took it off the store for purchasers of that AC7 deluxe.
AC7 is also a great game in itself too imho.
Already got street of rage 4 on the previous psn discount, it's a good games
I just bought A Way Out for £8.49 which I am excited to try with some friends online
Hmmm WRC 9 aready down to $19.99 sold
I already have it but Day of The Tentacle Remastered is a classic point and click adventure, so funny with great puzzles and at £1.79 there's no excuse.
I’ll probably pick up streets of rage 4 at that price. I couldn’t justify £30 for such a short game
Might have to get Guilty Gear for that price. I’ve never played the series before, but I’ve been wanting to try it.
@Ward_ting played it with my best friend and we had a blast. It's not perfect, but it's really awesome.
@AFCC I haven't played the Werewolf game myself, but I read many reviews so take what i say with a grain of salt. Basically it comes down to if you are a fan of the old role playing game, this will be nostalgic and you may over come the shortcomings which are many. Everyone says the actually fighting is fantastic, but the story, AI, other elements are subpar at best. I want to get it, but I'm going to wait for a deeper discount.
@Elodin @AFCC bought it at launch, got rid a few days later. The combat is great, and the feel of the 3 different character 'modes' is cool, but it's very much a typical mid-range RPG that, personally, is still too expensive for what you get. It's also exceptionally short with little to no replay value.
Think I'll pick up Streets Of Rage 4 and AC Ezio Collection.
@Bentley-Ma- Let me know if you pick it up man. I got it recently and would be nice to play other beginners (rather than getting my ass kicked by pros aha)
I'm almost tempted to get Guilty Gear at that price. I have the original Xrd on PC but never got Rev 2. Was going to wait for Strive but given that's delayed and the price being so low, why not!
Unrelated to the sale, but I'd love it if one day we get a 3D model based BlazBlue game. I have no idea how likely that is.
It baffles me that i still can't access my wishlist anywhere but on the PS5
@springer17 @Elodin I checked some reviews and gameplay on youtube, the gameplay from combat sections looks fun but the rest looks kinda bad. Even the visuals are a bit weak.
Will save my money for other stuff, maybe this comes to PSNOW in the future
Guilty Gear Rev 2 for £1 is insane. Even if you don't like fighting games, it's worth that price for the character art alone. The music, even!
@ShogunRok Agreed on the music, it's one of a few games I've actually got the soundtrack from a few games ago (Accent Core Plus I think) on CD and still give it a listen every now and then.
Original Guilty Gear is only 79p!
I am not looking at the list. Please tell me Granblue Fantasy Versus. I am about to get my platinum in the King of Fighters Collection.
@Ward_ting we really enjoyed that ,spent 2 hrs playing connect 4 😂
I wish there were more games like Grimm fandango and day of the tentacle on ps4.
@vapidwolf haha that sounds class
It’s like they picked all the games based on what I wouldn’t like, lol. Still, hope you guys find something to catch your interest.
The few games I’d at least try are still overpriced (such as Haven for example).
I see Savior’s Gang is on sale. I got a few chuckles from that one.
I’m picking up EDF Iron Rain ($20.99) and PixelJunk Monsters ($2.99). I figured $25.85 (tax included) with an overall savings of $51 is pretty good—good enough to warrant the purchase. Gotta keep the wheels of commerce a rollin’ through these dark days and nefarious nights of covid craziness. 😋
PS5 games on sale are disappointing yet again. Those asking about SoR4, it's fantastic and has a really challenging trophy list, although I think it's been patched to be easier. Good luck.
@ShiningStar thats a great game, I beat it on switch, but I would beat it again easily, must be interesting to replay knowing the true ending
Shout out Zanki zero first person survival rpg. At first I wasn't sure but really got into it. It's just £9.99 it's not everyone's cup of tea but there are few games like it
@XinGViruS I have the game and played it a lot (I think I finished 2 seasons) and I haven't encountered any "ugly textures with scenery pop-in" during my playthrough. The game has sharp graphics with 60 fps and I encountered no bugs (PS5).
That's my first WRC btw, I was always a Dirt guy before, but this game is much much better than Dirt 5 imo. I highly recommend it.
Yeah forgot to add, Dualsense support is a game changer
Vita' share is mostly crossbuy or just cross-platform indies again, although I may be unfair after switching to PSPrices and using content filters - for all I know, there may be delicious stuff on sale that I just already own. In any case, credit where due for Dragon Quest Heroes II - no certainty this time (especially as its discounted price still requires me to add almost $15 extra above it due to relying strictly on prepaid cards), but a relatively tempting item overall after the Switch dilogy has been stuck in Japan for almost four years. Maybe I'll keep it in mind even for summer if I make good on an earlier urge to invest some of this year's vacation bonuses into Vita stuff, discounts at the time or not. Time will tell.
@IronMike if you are into tennis, do it. It is not a masterpiece but really quite good!
@Icey664
Wishlist is back!! On the website at least, not quite on the app yet.
@Futureshark
Ah just found it, thanks!
No Guilty Gear sale at the US store though 🥺
Got .hack//G.U. Last Recode at that price.
Never played the series before.
