@James_42 no, my point was more that I don’t know if I would’ve enjoyed GoT as much if I’d started playing From Software games first because combat is so much more intricate in FS games.

GoT has really a really fun combat system for an open world game with some cool features such as switching stances for different enemy types but it’s still more ‘hack n slash’ And much easier in general.

I loved GoT and highly recommend it but it’s not at all like From Software. It’s just different.

TLOU2 is clearly incredibly well made and pushed the boundaries of story telling in video games I just found it far too bleak and didn’t enjoy playing it.

GoT is my personal game of the year. It’s my favourite open world game if all time and just fun to play from beginning to end.

I’ve recently got the bug for From Software games and I wonder if that would’ve effected how much I enjoyed GoT’s combat had I played them the other way round...

Still playing through Ghost of Tsushima. I’m taking my time clearing everything off the map which I never do with open world games.

I did start getting bored with the side quests/mongol camps so went back to the main story and was reminded how amazing this game is.

I think this is probably my favourite open world game and probably one of my favourite games of all time full stop.

Finished TLOU2 this week. I compare it to watching a really good Netflix series with compelling characters, lots of character development and interesting story beats. It was very dark and I’m not sure I can say I enjoyed it.

It’s clearly genius but was it fun? I’m not so sure...

So I’m now playing my way through ratchet and clank which is most definitely just fun.
