Currently stuck on the final boss of Dark Souls 3.
It’s an excellent game and I’ve really enjoyed the exploration and combat but I’m ready to move on to something else now. I’m just hoping I don’t get stuck for as long as I did on the twin princes because that was brutal
@James_42 no, my point was more that I don’t know if I would’ve enjoyed GoT as much if I’d started playing From Software games first because combat is so much more intricate in FS games.
GoT has really a really fun combat system for an open world game with some cool features such as switching stances for different enemy types but it’s still more ‘hack n slash’ And much easier in general.
I loved GoT and highly recommend it but it’s not at all like From Software. It’s just different.
TLOU2 is clearly incredibly well made and pushed the boundaries of story telling in video games I just found it far too bleak and didn’t enjoy playing it.
GoT is my personal game of the year. It’s my favourite open world game if all time and just fun to play from beginning to end.
I’ve recently got the bug for From Software games and I wonder if that would’ve effected how much I enjoyed GoT’s combat had I played them the other way round...
I’m in the final act on my first play through. I’m not sure whether I’ll go back in for NG+ but this is one of my favourite games of all time. Alongside BoTW it’s def game of this generation
I’m absolutely loving ghost of Tsushima. It’s stunning, everything feels satisfying especially the combat and horse riding. So I’ll be sinking some hours into that from my sick bed.
Also Hades on switch which is fun so far (4-5 runs in so far)
Finished ratchet and clank which was short and fun (much needed after TLOU2)
Started GoT. I’m only a couple of hours in but feel like I’m going to LOVE it. The combat feels so satisfying and the graphics/world design are immense
Finished TLOU2 this week. I compare it to watching a really good Netflix series with compelling characters, lots of character development and interesting story beats. It was very dark and I’m not sure I can say I enjoyed it.
It’s clearly genius but was it fun? I’m not so sure...
So I’m now playing my way through ratchet and clank which is most definitely just fun.
@777Reigns I’ve been switch only this gen up until now. I loved my switch so much but the last 1-2 years there’s been hardly any decent AAA games to play

Re: PS Plus January 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced
I almost bought shadow of tomb raider in the current sale so that’s saved me £12
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 353
Next up Sekiro

Re: The Last of Us 2 Dominates Game Awards 2020 Nominations
@James_42 I liked GoW but I didn’t love it. GoT was way more enjoyable for me with better combat

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 349
Getting my ass handed to me in Bloodborne... 25 hours in and I don’t think I’m even halfway through.
Re: November 2020 PS Plus Games Are Available to Download Now
Looking forward to Mordor when I finally rage quit Bloodborne
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want to Know About PS5?
Will bloodborne load quicker because I’m fed up of dying 9000 times and having to wait to jump back in
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 348
Bloodborne - it’s kicking my ass so badly!
I’m about 12 hours in and still can’t beat father Gascoigne! I can’t level up either because I keep losing my souls all the time.
I’ve never managed to beat a Souls game
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 347
Finished GoT which I loved.
Struggling to get into Red Dead Redemption 2 because it’s so complicated and slow after Ghost. I’ll persevere and hopefully get into it.
Also started Resident Evil 7 last night which is creepy as hell! Finally a resident evil game as scary as RE2
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 346
GoT still. I’ll probably finish it this week.
After that I might start RDR2 but worried it won’t compare to Tsushima
Re: Ghost of Tsushima's Massive 1.1 Update Heavily Inspired by Fan Feedback and Community Suggestions
I’m in the final act on my first play through. I’m not sure whether I’ll go back in for NG+ but this is one of my favourite games of all time. Alongside BoTW it’s def game of this generation
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 345
Also Hades on switch
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 345
Still playing through Ghost of Tsushima. I’m taking my time clearing everything off the map which I never do with open world games.
I did start getting bored with the side quests/mongol camps so went back to the main story and was reminded how amazing this game is.
I think this is probably my favourite open world game and probably one of my favourite games of all time full stop.

Ghost of Tsushima is probably next on my list

Re: PS5 Price, Release Date Confirmed: 12th November in Most Regions, $499 Standard, $399 Digital
£50 cheaper and it would’ve been day one for me.
I wasn’t expecting it to be that cheap but I’ll be waiting for a price drop.
Only had my PS4 a few months and there’s not many games at launch so no hardship
Re: Feature: Push Square Readers' Top 10 PS4 Games of 2020 So Far
Having just bought a PS4 recently I’m looking forward to playing most of these. Finished GoW and almost done with Spider-Man.
Ghost of Tsushima and Last of Us 2 are the most appealing from this year
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 334
Finished God of War so I’ll be working my way through Spider-Man next.
TLoU2 and Horizon Zero Dawn are on standby (2 of the games I bought the console for!)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 333
God of War - such a great game

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 332
Finally bought a PS4 - so many games to play! I’m working my way through GOW & Spider-Man at the moment but The Last of Us 2 is calling my name!
