@PenguinLtd totally worth it. It’s an odd one and was a bit decisive with the fan base but I really enjoyed it. It’s probably my least favourite of the bunch but still a fantastic game. Difficulty is on par with the others as long as you invest points into the stat that increases your invincibility during rolls (can’t remember what it’s called but it’s not present in the other games)

I keep meaning to go back to Hogwarts legacy but for some reason I never do. I rarely pay full price for games so I’m determined to finish it before Tears of the Kingdom comes out.

I’m hoping this is going to be good. I got steel rising but it didn’t really do it for me. Combat felt pretty janky.

I’m yet to find a souls-clone that comes close to anything by From.

I enjoyed last years game so I’m glad this one has improved on it without changing too much.

I liked the GM mode but it was super basic and shallow so I didn’t get more than a few hours out of it. Sounds like it’s a little more fleshed out this year, which is great to hear. I’ll pick this up when it’s on sale in a few months.

I want to play this but I’m determined to finish Hogwarts Legacy seeing as I paid full price for it. I’m really enjoying HL when I play but for some reason I can only play in short bursts. I think I’m so used to souls games that I’m finding the lack of action slow at times.

This is calling to me…

Just Hogwarts for me. 17 hours in and loving it. I’ve only got to the first season change so think I’ve still go a long way to go.

I think it’s probably an 8/10 game elevated to 9/10 because I love the world

I don’t pay much attention to trophies but I have encountered a few bugs. I had one crash that kicked me out of the game and I have also had to reload a couple of times when things/people haven’t appeared that should’ve done for progression.

Performance/frame rate has dropped quite badly on a couple of goblin battles but only for a few seconds at a time.

All just slight annoyances rather than major problems so far.

@LeeHarveyOzgod I had to use the live chat. It said less than ten minutes to connect but ended up taking about 45-50 mins in the end. It sucks but I think it’s the only way. Once I got through it was very easy.

Cancelled my pre-order and bought the deluxe edition so I can play tomorrow as I have the day off.

Just traded in GT7 for Majoras Mask on 2DS so probably that. It’s one of the few Zeldas I’ve never played

I haven’t touched the ps5 this week (possibly 2 weeks) but I might jump back into GT7 later today.

Gran Turismo 7. I’m not generally into racing games but I’m enjoying it so far.

I am starting to get the itch to replay Elden Ring again so that will probably be the game that fixes me over until Hogwarts (if it reviews well)

I might try to finish Diablo 3 campaign today as I'm right at the end. I've enjoyed playing it, but I don't think it's hooked me enough to bother with end-game content.

I picked up GT7 the other day, and I'm loving it. Driving games aren't usually my thing, but this one has me playing ‘one more race’ every time.

I honestly think it's the best game ever made. I knew, as a soulsborne fan, I was going to enjoy it, but it absolutely blew my mind.

However, it is the first one I haven't gone back to play again. I’m unsure if that’s because it’s so big and takes so long or because so much of the enjoyment was exploring the map and discovering secrets. One day I will return.

I’d struggle to name 5 games I played that were actually released this year but my top five games I’ve played are:

1. Elden Ring (by a mile)
2. Returnal
3. Diablo 3
4. Hollow Knight
5. Fortnight

Yes… I know… they’re mostly old games now.

I’ve got a busy week pre-Christmas but any time I have will be spent on Diablo 3. It took a while to click but I’m enjoying it now. Just finished Act 2.

I’m annoyed I didn’t buy the Witcher 3 when it was on sale for pennies recently because I quite fancy hopping back in on PS5. I bought it on switch ages ago but it was so blurry I never really got into it.

Looking forward to this. Love a good combat game to obsess over for a couple of weeks and then never pick up again! I enjoyed UFC 4 so this will fill a gap nicely. I hope they add some features that add some replay value to this one.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. I will be getting it as long as the reviews are good but I definitely won't be pre-ordering it.

@Michael2008ish I'm just playing the story at the moment but no real idea what I'm doing with all the different gear and stats. Just winging it at the moment.

Finally picked up Diablo 3 in the latest sale. I'm pretty sure I don't understand how it all works but I'm enjoying it anyway.

Finally got round to resetting my password!

I'm working my way through Dark Souls 2 at the moment. Nothing grabbed me in the black Friday sales so seemed like the right time. It's the only souls game I haven't beaten multiple times (except Elden Ring) I remember thinking it was the weakest DS game but I'm really enjoying it!

After replaying Bloodborne and DS3 I decided to go back to DS1… it’s a decision I’m regretting as I’m stuck on the final boss and the run back to him each time is a pain in the ass!

After finishing Dark Souls 3 last weekend (twice) I’ve moved back in time to DS1 Remastered. I’ve beaten it once but I usually end up getting to Blighttown and giving up. That will probably happen again this time.

From software have me completely addicted to their games. I NEVER replay games but I’ve beaten Bloodborne x 3, DS1 x 1.5, DS2 x 1, DS3 x 2.5 and sekiro x 1 - that’s all in the last 2 years. I have a problem.

Very, very excited for this game. I know it’s going to hurt. Badly.

I finished my 3rd playthrough of Bloodborne and got the final ending this week and have immediately moved onto my 2nd playthrough of Dark Souls 3.

I think I have a problem…

I’m so excited for this game. I don’t mind the odd screenshot and will be all over the reviews when they land.

Currently replaying DS3 to prepare myself.

I’m on my third playthrough of bloodborne but doing a bit of co-op on this one - helping each other with the trickier bosses

@KingPev it is a really hard game but it’s satisfying to play it had me completely hooked. Enjoy!

Glad to have a racing game to try. I don’t enjoy them enough to buy (except Mario Kart) but I’ll def download this and give it a go.

I really wanted to play this. I was a huge fan of the first 4 RE games then fell off the series. I’m hoping they move away from first person because I can’t get through a game without feeling sick.

PGA TOUR 2021 & crash 4

There’s not been a lot on PS5 so far but we’ve certainly had quality with the games they have released. Astro, Demon Souls and Returnal have all been absolutely amazing.

I’m hoping 2022 can match that but with quantity!

I’ve been enjoying PGA Tour 2021 for some relaxing downtime. It’s been a nice change of pace from my usual masochistic taste in games

Returnal is also my GoTY. So challenging but so so good. You made me feel better about my 90+ hours to beat it too so this makes me happy.

I would say we are hero’s though… just saying

Started Kena this week. It looks stunning but the camera and some of the movement is a bit ‘floaty’ I’m looking forward to playing more but I have some reservations at this point

Finished deaths door (brilliant) and onto Kena: Bridge of spirits which seems good so far, if a little linear early on

Returnal is amazing but that’s not exactly a great ‘sale’ price.

Going to pick up Kena for that price.

Trying to finish Sekiro. I’ve not loved it to be honest. I’m just going for the easiest/worst shura ending because I’m done with it but I’m currently stuck on the boss.

Managed to get a PS5 for my mate and lent him Returnal so also coaching him through that which is fun

@BrotherFilmriss my latest attempt is on PS5 and it’s def smoother. The problem I’m having at the mo is that I’m maybe halfway through and am trying to relearn the combat after a long break. Currently stuck on some guy with a giant spear: lord of the Seven or something like that.

I’m optimistic about Elden Ring. It looks amazing. Have you played the Beta?

Trying to get back into Sekiro after abandoning it about half way through last year. It’s still not clicking for me which is really annoying as I’ve beaten all the other From Software games. I want to like it but I think it’s just too different and I can’t get my head around the combat.

Hoping I don’t have similar issues with Elden Ring.

Finished RE 2 remake this week. I enjoyed it but WHY does Leon move so slowly!!! Final boss was a little underwhelming but the final sequence of the game was pretty epic.

Not sure what to play next. Sekiro (gave up about ten hours in) Demon souls (2nd playthrough) AC Valhalla or Castlevania SoTN?

Finally beat Returnal last week. Def my game of the year so far.

Playing through Aria of Sorrow on switch which feels like the right platform for that game.

RE2 Remake on PS5. RE2 is one of my favourite games of all time and the remake is good but I have to confess that I’m finding it a little slow/boring at times. I don’t think going straight to this after Returnal was necessarily the best decision.

Resident Evil 2 remake and symphony of the night on PS5 - both great so far

Finally reached the last biome of Returnal this week but didn’t make it through. I think I’ve prob logged 80 hours so far.

I’ve beaten all of the soulsborne games but this is next level challenging. I really love it though.

Still Returnal.. finally got to boss of biome 3 and almost beat him. It’s a savage game.
