I’m all over the place at the moment, flitting between various game. Space Marine 2, Lies of P, Titanfall 2, and Stardew Valley being the main ones!

I’ve been playing remnant 2 and titanfall on steam deck but I plan to finally finish Astro bit today.

I keep falling off this game for some reason. I’ve bought it on PS and on steam. After falling in love with BG3 I was sure I would get into this but for some reason it just doesn’t pull me in the same way.

Remnant 2 at the moment. I'm only a few hours in, but it's fantastic so far. It's crazy hard, though! (not sure if I'm even playing it right, to be honest)

Since buying a steam deck I’ve been unable to focus on any particular game. This weekend I will be dabbling with:

undisputed
Shadow of war
DQ11
Star view Valley
Remnant: from the ashes
And probably a few others…

I’ve been flitting between games for the last few weeks. This weekend will see me getting my ass handed to me in Undisputed.

I loved mine, but sold it recently because I bought a steam deck. The Portal screen was so good and having the full dual sense experience was great but I couldn’t justify keeping both.

Remote play on steam deck is actually a little smoother.

Astro Bot and DQ11

Dragon Quest 11 for the first time. I played the demo when it came out and enjoyed it, but a friend completed it recently and raved about it so I bought it on Steam last week. Loving it so far.

I have a new steam deck and echoes of wisdom so the ps5 is having a rest.

I’ve actually just started Dragon Quest 11 which I’m loving so far.

I almost bought WWE yesterday so I'm glad I held fire. Interested in Dead Space 2, too.

GoT is the best open world game Ive ever played (that wasn't made by Nintendo)

Super excited for this one!

I seem to be in the minority on this one.

It felt like they announced nothing except remastered and old game re-releases. It felt like an end of generation promo.

They pulled me back in with the sequel to GoT (my favourite ever open world game) but overall this was disappointing.

I'm also happy for 2k24 on plus because I almost bought that in the steam sale earlier today 😂

I've just bought a steam deck so I’ll be playing with that. pillars of Eternity and Persona 5 are loaded and ready to go.

I'm also surprised to find it runs remote play better than the portal and connects faster so that will probably be going on Marketplace next week.

I’ve just bought a steam deck but if I hadn’t I would have traded in my portal for the new one

I would have considered it at £499. But I wouldn’t pay more than that for something which is just a minor upgrade on the base edition. I just want Sony to start making some good games.

I’m seriously considering getting a steam deck as a way to enter the PC gaming world.

I love my PS5 and could afford to buy the pro if I wanted to, but there’s absolutely no chance I will. The price is absurd, especially considering they’re not actually making any games for the damn console.

I’m considering moving over to PC, or even just buying a steam deck.

Astro Bot has finally pulled me away from Balatro (thank god!)

I also picked up Crusader Kings 3 on sale but it’s way too complicated for me. I wish Sony had a refund policy like steam’s.

Hoping my preorder arrives tomorrow. I’m at work all day, but I’m hoping to get stuck in when I get home!

Balatro - stuck on green difficulty.

I need to uninstall this game before it consumes my life!

This is one I’ll pick up when it’s on sale on the future I think.

Dave the diver and balatro are probably the two best games I’ve played this year (I’m not including erdtree because that’s an expansion)

I’m so addicted to balatro it’s ridiculous. What a collaboration!

Ok, I’ve been holding off on my dark urge playthrough because I can’t only play BG3 for the rest of my life, but this might be a sign that it’s time.

Hopefully it’ll drag me away from Balatro. I think I have a Balatro problem…

It’s a fantastic game - probably in my top ten of all time. I prefer it to Sekiro but it’s probably my least favourite DS game.

I didn’t like the way enemies thinned out if you died too many times. I wanted to kill them myself!

I use mine all the time. It’s given me loads more gaming time because I’ll use it whilst why my wife’s watching Netflix on the TV.

I made the mistake of buying balatro. 11 hours in after 24 hours…

I put something like 120 hours into this when it came out and absolutely loved it. After a while I grew bored and deleted it from my ps5. I think it’s unlikely I’ll go back to it now.

I’m mega stuck on the final boss of Erdtree. I’ve beaten every From Software boss solo, but there’s no way I can get through this fight without summons. I’m just hoping for a lucky run or some crazy skilled player to join me at this point. It’s frustrating as hell.

Also beat Streets of Rage 4 with my nieces today. They loved it and even managed to work together without arguing too much.

No gaming for me this weekend, but when I finally beat the final boss of erdtree, I’m going to try out the Ronin demo.

From Softwsre games are my favourite games and have pretty much ruined everything else for me because nothing else compares.

So, I’m happy that other develops are taking notes. However, no one seems to manage to nail the formula so a lot of the others come off as poor imitations.

Still playing Erdtree (slowly) finally made it to the last area of the map I haven’t yet unlocked. I accidentally stumbled across the final boss last week, but ran away to finish everything else. I also still need to finish Dave the diver. I’m right at the end.

I’m on a kickboxing coaching course this weekend. 2 x 8 hour days so that will leave very little time for any gaming. If I do get a bit of time, it’ll be spent on shadow of the erdtree.

More Erdtree for me. Finally beaten the tree boss that has been driving me nuts. Beat Messmer straight after, but currently stuck on Romina (think that’s her name) which is a super tough fight.

Also trying to finish Dave the diver.

That was a tough one. It was between Helldivers and Dave the diver.

I’m no longer playing Helldivers and probably won’t go back to it but it took over my life for quite a while. So much fun.

I chose Dave the diver though because I think it’s actually a better game.

Taking my time with Shadow of the Erdtree. I won’t have much time this weekend but I’ll keep chipping away.

I’ve been playing on Portal and it’s been generally been great but I’ve died about 15 times today on an annoying platforming section and I’m sure it’s because of lag so I need to switch over to the tv.

It depends on the game and why it’s difficult. Lots of games I’ve given up on because they were annoying. From software games are different though. The challenge is always fair. It might be brutal, but it’s always fair.

@commentlife it doesn’t actually take long to do the bits you need to do to get to the DLC.
I took my fresh NG+ character there in a couple of hours using a guide to get to the required areas quickly.

I’ve loaded it up and saved at the first bonfire with my NG+ character. Fully expecting to get destroyed. Can’t wait.

@purple_mouse_gaming I don’t know if I’d say any of Froms games are ‘good for beginners’ but you’ll get the hang of it. It’s a masterpiece. Also if you enjoy it, you’ve then got a whole host of incredible games to play. Enjoy!

I’ve got my NG+ character up to the entrypoint for the DLC

I’m surprised it’s done so well just because none of the previous games have sold anything like that many copies, but I’m also not surprised because it’s the most incredible game ever made (in my opinion).

I’m currently dashing through my NG+ to get to the point where I can jump straight in to Erdtree. I’ve also started a new magic based character who I’m going to replay the game with.

I’ve barely played on the TV since getting my portal and I’ve managed to play a lot more games. Definitely an unnecessary luxury item, but I love it.

Still working my way through P.o.P the lost crown.

I’ve also gone back to Elden Ring in anticipation of the DLC and started a magic build. I’ll prob play the dlc with my NG+ warrior but I’m having fun playing as a different type of character to my usual build.

I’ll hopefully spend some time on Sands of Time which I’m really enjoying. As with all metroidvanias I get a little frustrated at times when I can’t figure out where to go and spend ages backtracking, but despite that, this game seems like it might be one of the best.

Spontaneous camping trip tonight with the hope of seeing the northern lights again. I might play a bit of Dave the diver on my laptop but probably not.

Still pottering around in Skyrim trying to figure it all out. I’m not really into it yet but I’m playing in half hour bursts and it feels like one of those games you need to sit and put a few hours into.

I fell off dragons dogma 2 after about 30 hours. It’s good but I found myself getting a bit bored. I’m still playing Helldivers 2 but just the odd game now and again after putting 120 hours in since launch…

I picked up Skyrim and the new Prince of Persia game in the latest sale. I’ve somehow never played Skyrim before; I’m only 3-4 hours in and enjoying it so far but it’s so overwhelming - I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing or how any of these systems work.

Just been playing an hour or two of Helldivers in the evenings this week. It’s going to end up being one of my most played games ever at this point.

I need to get back to DD2 which I fell off after reaching the 2nd main city about 40 hours in.

It’s got to be HD2 for me. Dragons Dogma 2 hasn’t been as good as I hoped.

I’m 28 hours into dragons dogma 2 and am starting to run out of steam with it. I’ll see it through but it might take me a while.
