Let 'em have it comments, they made a claim and had to backpedal on it, let 'em have it. Get out the pitchforks.
Jokes aside, the PS5 Pro should be able to utilize PSSR to handle 60 fps without losing much graphic fidelity, but I'm genuinely curious how the game will translate to the base PS5.
If the console releases next year I could see it being around or over a grand, but if it releases closer to let's say 2029, I could see it be lower than that.
I don't really know who Tupac is, likely because I'm not super big on rap music, but I am getting tired of seeing Snoop Dogg being everywhere over the last few years.
There's been some talk around the leak grapevine that Sony still wants to target a 2027 release for the PS6. If they do stick with that, I can imagine the PS6 being priced pretty high for a console.
Only thing people can do if that happens, is wait until a price drop when things start to calm down after a few years.
CDPR may have fumbled the initial release of Cyberpunk but they did a great job fixing it. Even Witcher 3 had some rough spots when it first released 11 years ago as well.
I've always loved Sony's single-player outings, I hold them in a special place in my heart, but I also had fun with some of the multiplayer additions that the single-player games had i.e. Uncharted 2 & 3, Last of Us, Killzone just to name a few.
What he said pretty much sums up how I feel from the whole fiasco. It's not entirely ruled out, just something they're monitoring and seeing what they want to port over moving forward.
I never played the original Persona 4 so I don't have the nostalgia for the OG cast, but not getting names like Troy Baker and Laura Bailey back sure is an odd one.
Usually the only people that buy drives bigger then 4tb are people that do a ton of data backups/archiving, but they find deals on drives and don't usually run to the newest, most expensive drive.
I've seen them find 20tb drives for just under a thousand dollars in some cases.
I was never the biggest fan of Phil Spencer during his tenure with Xbox, and now seeing how the purchasing spree they went on when he was the head honcho is falling apart, I feel my lack of faith in him was justified.
I do hope Xbox, and the studios that are facing imminent issues, can turn things around in the near future.
With how much Xbox is gutting their studios, I'm not surprised Sony will be doing the same, it's the current state of the industry that's pretty rough.
@Vertere What part of "integrate them into Valve" don't you get? Valve doesn't do external contracts or interns, they only hire full-time employees, and according to Linkedin, they have about 200-500 employees. Also Valve employees make more money then employees at Microsoft and Google. They're treated very well for their talents.
Also bruhhhhhhhhh Epic Games is owned by Tim Sweeney, who is the prime example of a greedy corpo.
@Vertere Valve actually integrated the dev team from Firewatch into their own team to work on Half-Life Alyx, and they even hired the solo dev of a Alyx mod to work for them. Valve doesn't buy developers, they hire them to work for them like any other developer, and their success with Steam and their first-party games shows they won't close studios down.
Also Gaben uses his money and yacht to invest in ocean research and how we can preserve the life in them, which is a very smart thing to do with how things are going nowadays on our planet.
I don't really remember the Hellblade games being big sellers so I guess it shouldn't be too big of a surprise, but I guess we'll see whether they're bought or go indie.
I'm curious to see what the new sale price will be cause I'd like to pick the game up. I remember my tattoo artist recommending I play it for the longest time lol.

Re: Worrying News for PS6, as Memory Prices Tipped to Double by End of 2027
This is what I've been saying for a long while so I won't repeat it. Just a shame that this is causing everything to skyrocket in prices.
Re: PS5 Costs Too Much, But These New Xbox Price Increases Are Just Absurd
Sadly, I foresee all 3 major consoles going up in price again with the way things are going. If not late 2026, then early 2027.
Re: Mini Review: Dead or Alive 6: Last Round (PS5) - Dead on Arrival
The original DoA6 released in 2019? Time sure flies.
It's a shame cause I wanted to try 6.
Re: Bungie Confirms Studio Layoffs After Destiny 2 Content Ends
Guess Sony rushing to buy Bungie in response to Microsoft buying Bethesda bit back at them in the end (this was from the FTC vs Microsoft documents).

Re: GTA 6 Is a 'Single Player Experience', No Word on GTA Online at Launch
The way they word it, and knowing modern Rockstar, they'll likely charge for the online portion and release it standalone.
Re: GTA 6 Ultimate Edition and More Detailed Ahead of Pre-Orders Going Live
So essentially a bunch of stuff that should be unlockable in the base game but are locked behind a $100 edition.
Re: The Studio Behind This Acclaimed PS5 Metroidvania Is Closing Its Doors
Noooooo, I really enjoyed Mio, it was a fun little Metroidvania with a unique sketchbook shader to the art style.
What a shame.
Re: GTA 6 Confirmed to Be an $80 Game
I had a feeling it was going to be $80, no way Rockstar and Take Two would price the game below that.
Re: 'It May Seem Like We're Only Doing It for Attention': Stranger Than Heaven Dev Discusses Celebrity Castings, Including Tupac
I don't really know who Tupac is, likely because I'm not super big on rap music, but I am getting tired of seeing Snoop Dogg being everywhere over the last few years.
Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds May Not Have Sold Well, But It Gets More Awesome by the Month
Nights being added made me really really want to buy the game.
I gotta be honest, it's sad the game isn't selling super well cause Sega is doing a great job with the characters they're adding.
Re: 5 Things That Surprised Me Playing Star Wars: Galactic Racer on PS5
When I saw the gameplay my brain was like "oh this is like Wipeout" and it made me hyped for it.
Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Sell Below SEGA's Expectations
I'd like to buy Crossworlds, but when it gets cheaper cause the initial price is a bit high for a racing game in my eyes.
Re: Opinion: The PS6 Cannot Come Out in This Era of $1,000+ Consoles
@NerdyPaul Then I hope people are ready to spend around $1k for a PS6.

Re: Valve's New Steam Machine Costs Almost Twice as Much as a PS5
Unless the whole component crisis starts to slow down, the PS6 and Helix will be priced close to a grand as well.
Re: The Last of Us 2 Is Finally Getting Multiplayer, But Naughty Dog Ain't Making It
I saw the video over the weekend and it's really impressive, big props to the modders for making this work.
I know people tend to s*** on PC all the time, but when modders have a ton of passion, they do really cool projects like this.
Re: The Witcher 4 Can't Be Another Cyberpunk 2077, and CD Projekt Red Knows It

But the single-player is what I love.

Re: Uproar as Halo PS5 Demands 2 PS Plus Subscriptions for Local Co-Op
@cragis0001 My entire playtime in Helldivers 2 was on PC lol.
Re: Uproar as Halo PS5 Demands 2 PS Plus Subscriptions for Local Co-Op
Remember when pc players were unhappy about the psn requirement for Helldivers 2? Cause this should upset people as well.

I could definitely see it either $70 or $80
Re: Pragmata's Latest PS5 Update Adds Hugh's Best Outfit and Nerfs One of the Hardest Challenges

I still think the PS6 will be very close to $1000 in price, especially if the component pricing doesn't stabilize.
@Slayer25c You can put a disc drive into a PC and it's really easy to do so. A person can even buy a disc drive that hooks up via usb for laptops.
Re: Vampire Survivors Dev 'Reviewing' Fortnite Collaboration Due to Epic's Use of Generative AI
Epic makes so much money from Fortnite, enough to easily hire artists to design assets/characters, but they'd rather just use ai to save money.
Good on the Vampire Survivor devs for taking a step back on the collab.
Re: GTA 6 PS5 Pre-Orders Open on 25th June, Cover Art Revealed
Cover art is clean, love the vaporwave color gradient on the numbers.
Re: All PlayStation Fans Need to Buy the Latest Famitsu Magazine
I never bought a Famitsu magazine, but it's cool that Parappa is on the cover. Crazy that the game will be 30 this year.

Re: 'There Are Other Xbox Studios in Trouble': Ominous Reports as Microsoft 'Bloodbath' Looms
I do want to watch Schreier's video on this to see how he sums up the whole ordeal.
But I'm genuinely curious to see what other studios will be on the block and the games they've released.
Edit: I listened to the video and good lord, do I feel bad for so many of the devs on these teams.

Brutal, which is on par with Hellraiser.

Re: Three Xbox Studios at Risk of Closure, in Talks to Become Independent
@Dan12836666 I'd be down for Sony to help publish their future games, but not outright buy them.
Re: Three Xbox Studios at Risk of Closure, in Talks to Become Independent
Hopefully Double Fine can get something negotiated and avoid being closed, I do enjoy their games.
Kinda crazy that Xbox bought them years ago to help publish their games and now years later they're at risk of being closed.
Re: Site News: Oh, Hi Everyone! Did You Notice Anything Different Here Recently?
I have noticed it as of late. Nothing wrong with it as long as the news being reported won't change.
Re: South of Midnight Maker Said to Be Shuttered by Xbox
Feel bad for those that will be without a job. I have the game on my wishlist on Steam so I'll have to buy it sometime soon.
Re: Poll: What's Your PS5 Game of the Year for 2026 So Far?
I've been dividing my own GotY in my head between major release and indie release.
So for me so far in a top 3, it would be
Major:
Pragmata
RE9
Death Stranding 2 (on PC)
Indie:
Motorslice
Mina the Hollower
Escape from Ever After
Re: Dead by Daylight Gets an Insane PS5 Graphics Upgrade for Its 10th Anniversary
Definitely have that early ps4 to ps5 graphic jump in the model quality. But it's crazy that the game is going on 10 years now.
Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Stripped of All PS5 Microtransactions as DLC Nears

Re: Opinion: PS Plus Users, You Should Play Final Fantasy 16 (But Only If You Play It Like This)
I didn't play a ton of FF16 when it released before dropping it, but I do remember a lot of the side quests being pretty terrible.
If I ever get around to playing the game again, I would definitely skip them.
