I really want to get around to playing Chrono Trigger. It's one of those games that I think I played like 5-10 minutes of when I was a kid but never gave it a longer chance.
Honestly I'm glad RGG won't change the core of the series moving forward, I love how wacky and cheesy the games can get to counter balance the serious tone. It adds so much to their charm.
I read the Bloomberg article this morning. It's really sad to hear Yacht Club are struggling. I genuinely hope Mina sells well for them, I even backed the game on Kickstarter a few years ago.
Continue playing the metroidvania game called Constance. It's fun and has a good art style. Once I'm finished with that I may finally continue Expedition 33.
I've tried this in vr on the beta branch on Steam a while back and it's super unsettling. I can't imagine how it would be on the oled panels the psvr2 has.
I played through the game around this time last year and it's fantastic. I didn't play it at launch a few years ago so I never experienced that whole thing, but the game is great now.
I'm not 100% surprised it's being delisted in favor for the Director's Cut cause Sega delisted a bunch of their retro games over on Steam a year or so ago. At least there's a cheaper upgrade path.
It's been a good console but I feel the games haven't reached the crazy heights that we had for previous gens. Being backward compatible with the PS4 is one of it's biggest strengths.
The content in the warbond is cool but I haven't touched the game in a long while due to how shoddy the game's performance has gotten, and the fact that Arrowhead does nothing to mitigate the inflated file size on PC.
@Northern_munkey The games that have good ports are praised on Steam.
Ghost of Tsushima's port was even nominated for two awards for the Steam Awards last year and Steam just featured a Playstation sale banner on the front of the store page and used Tsushima as a game advertising the Steam Deck. I just have a hard time swallowing the pill of Sony backtracking on pc ports. It's still sales and additional revenue for the them and the devs, and since they won't do day on day for new releases, it still gives people an extra incentive to buy the consoles and invest into Sony's ecosystem. The brand is too strong and the convenience of a console won't be undermined by having their games available on a later date on pc.
Apologies for going on a tangent, I usually don't but it's something on my mind about this whole thing.
Honestly, people on PC want the ports to be good ports. If the port is terribly optimized, people won't buy it until it gets fixed/on sale. When games like Spidey 2 and Last of Us were ported to PC, the ports were pretty rough on release and that hurts sales.
Yet when Stellar Blade released on PC, that port was fantastic and the game sold well.
It is good that they are working on it. But I'm glad the article highlights RPCS3, they've been doing a lot to improve the emulator over the last few years.

I legit thought Strands had something to do with Death Stranding or Kojima, but here it's a NYT game lmao.
Re: The Game Awards Hype Video Is a Nice Reminder It Isn't All About the Trailers
The awards are nice and all but I like seeing the game reveals, it's what makes the show interesting and actually worthwhile to watch.
Re: One of PS5, PS4's Cosiest Games Doubles in Size with Major Expansion Pack in February

Re: Helldivers 2 on PC Sees Massive Reduction in Install Size Thanks to Sony Studio Nixxes
I opted into the beta on Steam this morning and the file size was reduced from 135 gb to about 24 gb.
Nixxes are wizards and they worked their magic and I'm super grateful, the game was getting so bloated lol.

@Clytorial_Impact lol time can be a bit deceptive at times. Crazy when you think about it.
Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta Producer Is Hoping to Remake MGS4, Rescuing It from PS3 Jail
If it were up to me, remake MGS1 similar to Delta and release MGS4 on a Volume 2 collection along with Peace Walker.
I haven't played MGS4 in probably 15 years and I've only played a teensy bit of Peace Walker when it initially released.

Re: Bloodlines 2 Publisher Accepts the Blame Over $37 Million Failure
The game has a few decent ideas going for it from what I've seen via streams of it, it just needed more time and some ideas needed to be reworked.
But that's just my opinion from what I've seen and not personally played.
Re: The Witcher 4 Skips Game Awards for 2025, No New Trailer

Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?
It's been a good console but I feel the games haven't reached the crazy heights that we had for previous gens. Being backward compatible with the PS4 is one of it's biggest strengths.
That and I do love the look of it.

Well, here's to hoping it's good cause I do love the original Sands of Time.
Re: Mini Review: Morsels (PS5) - This Gross Little Roguelike Is Tastier Than It Looks
I do like the art style for this game, it feels very "gross '90s" and I'm okay with that.

Super random crossover but it's disappointing the cool looking equipment is locked behind the DLC.
