@Oram77 The big thing with Blizzard is their top-tier cinematics are reserved for their trailers or short videos. Their WoW trailers look better then big budget 3D movies and their old Overwatch trailers give so much depth to the characters.
I do remember some of the pre-rendered cutscenes for Starcraft and Warcraft 3 were pretty good too for the time.
Blizzard always had some of the best quality cinematics for their games in the industry, so it's actually pretty exciting to see they're doing work on Fable.
I just finished Death Stranding 2 the other night and his performance as Higgs in both games is fantastic. There's a reason he appears in so many games, cause he's good at his job.
Since the sales are so low, then there was really no reason for Bethesda to port it to PS5 since they'll barely make anything from it, but I guess a stagnated release didn't help, and a lot of people won't pay full price for it and rather wait for a sale before buying it.
Boy, that strategy sure sounds oddly familiar to something else hmmmmmmm.
It's not really uncommon for a game to release fixes and gameplay enhancements/QoL stuff post-release, it's just the rate at which they're doing it is unseen in the modern gaming space.
$10 million per week just off of micro transactions is absolutely insane. I can see why Rockstar favors pumping more content into the online portion and why there's such a big gap between their games releases.
@wildcat_kickz A lot of people carry the opinion of a streamer way too much. Like if the streamer doesn't have interest in a game, then the people in the chat act like it's the worst game of all time, or vise versa for a game the streamer likes.
I'm actually hoping it stars a new protagonist since I feel Artyom's story wrapped up pretty good at the end of Exodus, and the Exodus DLC shows that they can expand with new playable characters in the lore.
They shouldn't have to crunch though but they do it to hit deadlines, regardless if it's internal or external. Management should be able to manage the teams to prevent crunch, but if they're crunching then they're not doing their job effectively.
Honestly it's a shame and no dev teams should be put through crunch. The guy in the interview may be someone that completely normalizes crunch culture or is someone that enjoys it.
Yknow, I've often wondered how things would be for Microsoft now if they weren't so mismanaged and didn't fumble post Xbox One's release. Like a look into a crystal ball into the bizarro world.
I always felt like this game should've had a character creator, but I have a hunch the devs wanted a set character for the story a la Witcher 3 or Kingdom Come Deliverance.
But the difference between the aforementioned games and Crimson Desert, according to everyone that played it, the story is pretty terrible. So lol.
We don't know how many players are playing on consoles, or how much they're spending on micro transactions for that matter, but I have a feeling they may struggle to break even on that.
I thought the game sold well enough from the praise I've been seeing for it from other souls-like enjoyers. I really liked it when I played last year, but I did enjoy AI Limit more (I'm making the comparison since they both released right next to each other last year).
I feel like this would've been a cooler thing with Sony like 10 years ago but I'm not too sure nowadays.
Also I get the kickstarter comparisons but a lot of kickstarter stuff is with indie studios and they didn't just straight up use your face in the game.

@Oram77 I get where you're coming from, but honestly who cares if people call games that, those type of games just may not be their cup of tea.

Re: Rumour: Xbox Debating Whether to Make Its Games Exclusive Again
Well, I guess if they decide to make their games exclusive again then people will just have to buy an Xbox to play them.

CoD is one of those series that garners a majority of it's sales on release, so putting it day one on game pass really hurt the game's sales.

@bizzysgs True, no different then some of the higher end raids in WoW like Molten Core, Blackwing Lair etc.
Re: Ghost of Yotei's Brutal Raid Will Have No Matchmaking at Launch, So Bring Friends
I do find it strange that SP can't get the random matchmaking to be available on launch. I assume it's a technical reason anyways.
