Resident Evil Requiem PS5

You'll need to set aside a considerable amount of space when you go to download Resident Evil Requiem on PS5, as PS Store scraper PlayStation Game Size has leaked the title will be 72.88GB in size.

This is the biggest install size of any Resident Evil game in history, comfortably beating the 58GB of space required to play Resident Evil 4. Compared to the last original entry in the series, Resident Evil Village, the upcoming PS5 game is almost triple the size β€” it was 27.3GB.

While the install size of a game doesn't always indicate its scale and scope, Resident Evil Requiem essentially houses two campaigns in one, as you'll play the story from the perspectives of Grace and Leon. The former is all about survival horror while the latter brings the action. You'll switch perspectives often, forming one campaign overall.

Resident Evil Requiem launches for PS5 at the end of next week, on 27th February 2026. If you pre-order a digital copy, you can pre-load the 72GB of data two days beforehand.

We recently got to play the game at Capcom's London office, sampling three hours of Leon and Grace gameplay. "It's got the action, and it's got the survival horror β€” it's a two-in-one pack of the best horror gameplay around," we said in our Resident Evil Requiem PS5 Preview. "With all the Resident Evil charm, lore, characters, environments, and design on top, Resident Evil Requiem is shaping up to be another landmark moment for the series."
