While the studio has a unique style all of its own, it’s clear it draws inspiration from a wide range of art, including television, movies, and books.
In a new video about Control Resonant, it’s touched upon some of the media which it’s pulling into the sequel. And as you’d expect, it’s all of the coolest sh*t around.
So yes, the X-Files, Fringe, and Twin Peaks all play an important role – but so does classic Soviet fiction, like Roadside Picnic, the 1970s sci-fi novel which also inspired the STALKER series.
As for Dylan Faden’s upcoming action outing specifically, the Finnish firm is looking in fresh directions for new inspiration, like the iconic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. Yeah, this game is going to go hard, isn’t it?
