I really enjoyed the original Yooka-Laylee when it released. It wasn't perfect, no, but I could tell Playtonic did everything they could to honor Banjo.
I have a lot of fond memories of the original Gears trilogy, so I'll pick this up, just later down the line due to MGS Delta and Silksong out next week.
It's a shame that an engine is the main reason behind so many games having not great performance. Genuinely curious how we'll look back at this time 15 years down the line.
Demon Turf is really fun and the sequel, Demon Tide, is also fun from the demo I've played. I feel like this game will be enjoyable, which is rare for a Bubsy game.
Really cool to see the game still receiving a big expansion. I haven't played the game since it released so I'm kinda ignorant on all of the new content it has now lol.
I've only seen bits and pieces of the movie but it looks like it has a lot of charm from what I saw. Kinda weird that Sony would sell the rights to it.
Every time I see Bubsy come back in some form, I get disappointed cause it's getting more attention then so many other ips that lay dead/dormant for years.
Regarding the first game, I liked the way the combat felt and the overall atmosphere/art direction was really good, but I really don't like how they implemented the lamp's mechanics, and the fact that some of the bosses are really bad.
Hopefully the sequel can improve on some of the lower points of the first game.
Also I've accepted long ago that the game is just going to have performance issues and have to live with it. I'm on pc and the only time the game really runs poorly are at a few of the camps but that's really it.
@Bsb56 I play on a PC I built last year with a 4070 ti Super/12th gen CPU and while most UE5 games run well for me, there are a small handful that seem to have quite a bit of stuttering and crashing issues. Thing is, if the game isn't well optimized when it's utilizing UE5, it seems to run into a lot of technical issues.
I generally don't bash UE5, but issues seem to arise more on this engine compared to prior iterations. I can live with stuttering, I did with Wuchang for example, but when there's crashes involved, it gets a bit old, especially when crashes impede playing the game.
Hopefully when the devs release this, things can be ironed out on the technical side of things and the game runs smooth and doesn't crash.

Everyone wants to play Silksong so they're taking some time off lol.
Granted I'm tired of hearing about GTA6 already and that game isn't even out yet.

The single player and Ape Escape mode look like they're gonna be great, but I do question the longevity of this mode since it won't support crossplay.
