I mean, it is visually impressive, and the Decima engine is fantastic in regards to visual fidelity and performance, but so many games are having performance issues nowadays so I hope that's more of a priority for developers when the PS6 does release.
I do find it really weird when games have worse performance on the Pro compared to the base console.
I know the tech is different from the Pro iterations of the PS4 to PS5, but to me it's inexcusable for games to perform worse on a console with better tech.
I've played the demo on Steam a while ago and I really like how the game has a proper tutorial area now, and it definitely has a bit more of a refined touch that the original was lacking.
I'm okay with a Kiwami 3. I do really like 3's combat though and I know it'll be reworked into the more modern Dragon Engine combat, which is fine, but that PS3 era combat will always hold a special place in my heart.
Usually when a game starts to run worse over a few hours of play, it's a memory leak issue, which is something the devs should have had fixed before it was released.
I wouldn't mind playing it but with the game having really bad performance issues, I want to wait until it receives a few patches down the road.
Also I remember putting in tons of hours in Borderlands 1 and 2 when they released but kinda fell away from the franchise since. I've only dabbled with Pre-Sequel and 3 a teensy bit.
I did play Tiny Tina's Wonderland for a few hours a few years ago and thought it was fun.
I stumbled across a comment from someone playing early on Xbox and they say the game runs pretty well on performance mode without any graphic detraments, so that's good to hear.
I remember my older brother and I having a PS1 as kids. I always enjoy the PS1 and the aesthetic.
Funny enough, I remember him doing modifications to it so it could run NTSC-J games cause he had a copy of Dragon Ball Final Bout that he wanted to play.
In retrospective, he went through a lot of effort to play that absolutely terrible game.

Re: Huge STALKER 2 Update Out Now Ahead of Open World's PS5 Release This November
I still really want to play this but I'm waiting for a lot of the bugs and other issues being ironed out before diving in on PC.
Hopefully the game is in a better spot by the time it releases on PS5 in a few months.
Re: Is This the First Tease of Next-Gen PS6 Graphics?
I mean, it is visually impressive, and the Decima engine is fantastic in regards to visual fidelity and performance, but so many games are having performance issues nowadays so I hope that's more of a priority for developers when the PS6 does release.
Re: Daft Punk Aren't Getting Back Together, But They Are Coming to Fortnite
Around the (Fortnite) world, around the (Fortnite) world
Around the (Fortnite) world.
The helmets are pretty cool though, ya gotta admit.
Re: Silent Hill F Is Another Game That Stumbles on PS5 Pro
I do find it really weird when games have worse performance on the Pro compared to the base console.
I know the tech is different from the Pro iterations of the PS4 to PS5, but to me it's inexcusable for games to perform worse on a console with better tech.
Re: Rumour: Yakuza 0: Director's Cut Coming to PS5 This Year After Stint of Switch 2 Exclusivity

Re: Mega Man, NiGHTS to Join the Roster of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds on PS5, PS4
Gotta give Sega credit, they're definitely getting a lot of neat guest characters for the game.
Also happy to see Nights again.
Re: Review in Progress: Dying Light: The Beast (PS5) - This Could Be the Zombie Series' Peak
The fact that it's essentially DL1 with DL2's graphics and expanding on the first game's mechanics is exactly what I wanted in a DL game.
Re: PS5 Exclusive Ghost of Yotei Is Just Two Weeks Away, So Here's a Gorgeous Cinematic Trailer
I'm hyped for it but I kind want to wait until it's out on PC, since I only have a launch PS5 and not a Pro.
Re: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Adds DLC Clans to Base Game Following Backlash
They'll recoup the cost by increasing the price of the other DLCs.
Feels like something some devs would do.
Re: Fans Worry About the Future of Former PS5, PS4 Hit Fall Guys
The game was great before Epic bought it and ran it into the ground.
Re: The First Silent Hill F Review Score Is Now Live
Really excited for the game and it's perfect for Spooky month.
Re: Yakuza Kiwami 3 Seemingly Leaked on Dev Website
I'm okay with a Kiwami 3. I do really like 3's combat though and I know it'll be reworked into the more modern Dragon Engine combat, which is fine, but that PS3 era combat will always hold a special place in my heart.
Re: 'Quit Game and Restart': PS5 Pro Has the Worst Version of Borderlands 4
Usually when a game starts to run worse over a few hours of play, it's a memory leak issue, which is something the devs should have had fixed before it was released.
Come on Gearbox, be better.
Re: Instead of a Splinter Cell Game, What About a Netflix Anime?
Cool they put Sean Connery in an anime
Jokes aside, I could see this being pretty neat
Re: PS5's New Power Saver Feature Confirms Its First Supported Games
I am genuinely curious to see how much it affects performance though.
Hoping to see if DF does a video in the near future breaking it down.
Re: 'It Was a Little Callous': Hell Is Us Dev Bemoans Impact of Hollow Knight: Silksong

But it was still really cool though.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Borderlands 4?
I wouldn't mind playing it but with the game having really bad performance issues, I want to wait until it receives a few patches down the road.
Also I remember putting in tons of hours in Borderlands 1 and 2 when they released but kinda fell away from the franchise since. I've only dabbled with Pre-Sequel and 3 a teensy bit.

Re: 'Genesis Does What Nintendon't': Sonic Racing Takes Shots at Mario Kart World
Man, that commercial just feels like it came from the late 90's to early 00's.
Re: Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined's PS5 Characters Are Based on Real-Life Models
Really cool to see them base it off of irl models they created. Takes me back to a lot of the early 3d games in the 90s.
Re: Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection (PS5) - A True Look at What Could Possibly Go Wrong
It is a good collection for having all of the games in one place and accessible to modern audiences, so I'll give em that.
Re: Round Up: Borderlands 4 Reviews All on PC, No PS5 Verdicts Anywhere
I stumbled across a comment from someone playing early on Xbox and they say the game runs pretty well on performance mode without any graphic detraments, so that's good to hear.
I'll grab it on Steam sometime down the line.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS1 at Launch?
I remember my older brother and I having a PS1 as kids. I always enjoy the PS1 and the aesthetic.
Funny enough, I remember him doing modifications to it so it could run NTSC-J games cause he had a copy of Dragon Ball Final Bout that he wanted to play.

Re: USA's Top 20 PlayStation Games of All Time May Surprise You
The fact that it's a U.S list and CoD is spattered everywhere doesn't necessarily surprise me.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Difficulty to Be Toned Down Following Player Feedback
I think the challenge is fine the way it is but I guess I'm just used to it, being a souls player and after 112% the first Hollow Knight.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 597
Take my time playing Silksong, I want to soak it all in and enjoy it.
Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (August 2025)
For me, MGS Delta, mainly cause it was the only one on the list I played for August lol.
But I do want to get Sword of the Sea at some point.
Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta Sneaks Past the One Million Sales Milestone in First 24 Hours
The remake is great, I finished it a few days ago, and it deserves the financial success.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Hollow Knight: Silksong?
Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games, and one of my favorite Metroidvanias, so I'm incredibly hyped.
It feels surreal that it's finally here.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Crashes Storefronts, Not on PS Store at Launch
It's been crashing Steam since the game released lol.
Also the game already shot up to 100k players on Steam.
Re: Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots (PS5) - First Non-Clap Hanz Entry Is a Subpar Effort
The game may not reach the same heights as previous entries, but I still want to get and play it. I have a soft spot for Everybody's Golf.
Re: Cronos: The New Dawn (PS5) - Captivating, Twisted, and Wickedly Entertaining
Can't wait, Bloober did a great job on SH2 Remake so I'm confident they did a great job with this game.
Re: Rumour: Two Rayman Games Are in the Works as Franchise Celebrates 30th Anniversary
At least we're getting more Rayman stuff, it's been a while since we've had any games.
Re: Lost Soul Aside (PS5) - Long Awaited Action Is Both Awesome and Painfully Awkward
I watched a streamer play this game and it looked pretty rough.
That and the dragon companion yaps way too damn much.
Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Metal Gear Solid 5, 10 Years Later?
The gameplay and stealth mechanics are still top notch but the story is garbo and I hate how it takes 5 years to go from the base to the open world.
Re: Mini Review: Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek (PS5) - Scrappy Spooks with Just Enough Spirit
Looks like a fun Halloween game for kids, and it's Goosebumps, can never go wrong with that.
Re: Helldivers 2 Xbox Sales Estimates Predict a Helluva Start for Sony's Live Service
I feel Helldivers 2 is a perfect game for the Xbox, so I'm not surprised it's doing well there sales wise.
