Re: Pragmata (PS5) - Brilliant Combat Is the Star of Yet Another Capcom PS5 Hit

CWill97

If this game debuted ANY other week of 2026 other than this week, it’d be a quick pre-order. Rough that it got Hades 2 thrusted upon it so late. Nonetheless, the review makes it sound like it’s right up my alley. Plus, it’s a shorter game which is perfect. I don’t need every game to be a 70 hour adventure. I really hope Pragmata sells well. If it doesn’t, Capcom doesn’t have much incentive to not triple down on Resident Evil and Monster Hunter with almost guaranteed huge sales instead of mixing in new IP like Pragmata

Re: State of Play with Third-Party PS5 Reveals Tipped for Next Week, According to Notorious Snoop

CWill97

My dream is a FF7 Remake Part 3 name drop but I don’t think it’s likely. I’m still guessing Part 3 drops in 2028 on Leap Day once again.

Anything Sony 1st Party that’s a surprise would be nice. The Santa Monica Studios game rumored to be a spin off of GoW would be awesome to have a teaser. Gameplay of InterGalatic and Wolverine would be wicked.

Don’t really know what surprises Sony could really have but I’m here for it.

Re: Hands On: Cyberpunk 2077 Is Now Utterly Essential on PS5 Pro

CWill97

Damn it, this convinced me to add the Phantom Liberty DLC to my queue. Tbh, I bought it ages ago with plans to play it on my PS5 Pro but got busy. It looks so damn good. I’ve platinum’ed the game on PS5 and adored it.

The ‘Peralez’ quest line is one of my favorite side questlines in all of gaming. It literal gave me the sp00ks for weeks when V gets the static call with someone telling V something like ‘nothing will change’. I never get spooked but holy damn, Cyberpunk landed that questline magnificently. I REALLY, REALLY hope the sequel expands on that quest’s themes because it’s actually very well-thought out to a personal level with the paranoia.

For Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5, I heard a lot changed from the launch/early on version to now… like a drastic amount.

For people who played before Update 2.0 and then played after: is the changes too drastic to pick up right again? I haven’t played once since Update 2.0. I’m assuming all my skill/upgrades/etc. (can’t remember what it’s called) has been reset. Any thoughts on it would be wicked!

Re: 'The Result Is Incredible': Cyberpunk 2077's Big PS5 Pro Update Arrives Tomorrow

CWill97

Still wish they gave us a new trophy list/stack for the 2.0 update. I platinum’ed Cyberpunk 2077 pre-2.0 and want to play it to 100% again with all the major updates on my PS5 Pro. But I’m a sucker for trophies. It wouldn’t have been that hard for them to have made the ultimate edition have a new list like the Witcher 3’s Complete Edition/GotY had. But I’ve noticed a lot of games that have had regional stacks on the PS4 (FF7 Remake, Hades, Persona 5 Royal) do not have similar stacks on the PS5. Seems like easy money left on the table that some trophy hunters will easily bite at.

Re: Hades 2 Finally Announced for PS5, and It Arrives in a Matter of Weeks

CWill97

@HerlockSholmes damn, I cannot wait for this then. Usually I take breaks in-between Ace Attorney games but I loved Great Ace Attorney a ton. I’m hoping there’s more jury summations because that may be my favorite gameplay mechanic in all of Ace Attorney.

I’ll be all caught up after this one. Playing through AA1 through AA6, Investigations and Great Ace Attorney Chronicles for the first time has been a phenomenal experience.

Re: Congratulations to Resident Evil, 30 Years Old Today and Better Than Ever

CWill97

As someone who only got into Resident Evil in his late 20’s, I can see why it’s so successful and beloved. Capcom truly loves these games, the characters and the series as a whole. I’ve only played RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake (I double platinum’ed this one), RE4 Remake, RE7 and RE8 (I haven’t gotten through it. It’s not really the best RE game IMO), I can’t say I’m an expert or anything. But they’re usually such quality games with amazing replayability. You’re almost always getting your money’s worth when buying an RE game and that is a huge selling point.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 622

CWill97

About to finish Yakuza Kiwami 3’s main game trophies. I wasn’t really thrilled with the remake. Was the original rough to play? Absolutely. But it’s clear that RGG wants to retcon a lot of characters’ fates. News flash: don’t kill off characters that you think could be fun/useful down the line. Only kill them off if you need to, it makes sense and you see no real future for them in the franchise. Leaving a character’s fate ambiguous is fine or lock ‘em up. Like RGG fumbled so damn hard killing off a great villain in the early games who could still be VERY relevant to this day. But no, let’s ass pull ***** here.

Overall, it’s a nice little remake. Onto playing Dark Ties hoping that changes my mind a bit.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 621

CWill97

Just started Yakuza Kiwami 3. The graphics aren’t great but I’m enjoying it. Combat retains enough of the original without being “slam your head” annoying

I’m also slowly playing Baldur’s Gate 3. Still on Act 1 but I finished the Goblin Camp, Grove, Ethel, and Blighted Village stuff so far. I’m working through the UnderDark area ATM

Re: Sony Makes Shocking Decision to Shut Down Bluepoint Games

CWill97

Just bizarre. Whoever decided Bluepoint should go full live service should’ve been fired whether it’s the studio head and/or some PS bigwig. But just dismantling the whole studio is bizarre. They’ve botched a lot of IPs/studios this generation.

They should’ve designated Bluepoint Studios as the remake/remaster studio with a revolving door of teams that may or may not go on to make their own studios under Sony’s umbrella or given Bluepoint the green light on its own IP.

Sony really dropped the ball with the cash cow chase. A chase isn’t just won by the fastest; if you can’t hold your own and stay steady against the competition trying to trip you up, you will never win.

Re: Is Crimson Desert an RPG? Weird Online Arguments Erupt as Dev Refuses to Call It One

CWill97

You can be an RPG without being as in-depth as Baldur’s Gate 3 nor Witcher 3/Cyberpunk.

I’ve been playing my first ever playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 which is phenomenal. I can see why it’s a 10/10 game almost everywhere as I think it may end up in my Top 5. I’m currently in Act 1 through the Goblin Camp and just entered the Underdark (I cannot exactly remember if that’s the name). The amount of directions the game can take is astonishing… and overwhelming at first. I never had that issue with Witcher/Cyberpunk which are much more straightforward IMO.

All of that being said, I think it’s good that Crimson Desert devs are setting the expectations rather than letting it run rampant (although I haven’t followed every word they’ve said). If they misled people into thinking it’s on Baldur’s Gate 3’s scale for player freedom and wasn’t… there would be an “Internet Mob” uproar

Re: Failing FPS Highguard's Concord Arc Seems Almost Complete as Website Goes Down

CWill97

Once the “Internet” decides it hates something, it’s mob mentality. Tons will jump on it and bash it to look cool/fit in/stress relieve themselves.

Now, I’ve never played it because I don’t play games that focus mostly on multiplayer. I’m not even saying it’s great or even good. I’m saying that once the Internet declares that a game is trash, it’s really hard to rebound IMO.

Re: No More Yakuza Kiwami Games After Kiwami 3 Story Changes, New Series Could Happen

CWill97

So is it basically “Alternate Universe” Yakuza timeline? Maybe Stranger than Heaven plays into this a little bit if it is? Or is it basically just a reimagining? I’m just confused on where this is going. I’m extremely disappointed that they won’t be doing Yakuza 4 any time soon. But I 100% expect them to work on it eventually.

They probably want to get a couple more Ichiban games out first. Because at this rate, Ichiban will be 90 years old by the time he reaches his 6th game

Re: PS5's First State of Play of 2026 Tipped for Later This Week

CWill97

All I want is a Hades II announcement because I know none of my other mainstays (Persona/Atlus, Yakuza, Final Fantasy, Paw Patro— I mean any FromSoft souls-esque title/Bloodborne, Lies of P 2, etc) have a shot in hades of having a major announcement. Maybe the exception is FromSoftware but I doubt it ATM

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 619

CWill97

Yesterday, I finished up playing Lies of P again. I did a NG run on the PS4 version for trophies then played the DLC for the first time on NG+ on my PS5 save file. I absolutely loved the DLC. I don’t normally play DLC unless it’s one of my mainstay games, but I dived into this one. No regrets. I need Lies of P 2 ASAP.

Probably going to slowly continue my replay of Yakuza 0 on the PS5. It’s one of the best Kiryu games IMO. I’m immensely disappointed Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties shares a trophy list. Because of that, I’m going to hold off on buying it. I would’ve bought it Day 1 to play Mine’s Gaiden game easy.

Re: Silent Hill F, Fatal Frame 2 Remake Adding Free Crossover DLC on PS5

CWill97

I still need to play Silent Hill 2 but I heard it wasn’t optimized great for the Pro. Silent Hill F is on my list as well.

Although, I need to slog through RE 8 for RE9 to be reunited with the homie Leon. It just feels like RE8 was a downgrade from RE 2, RE 3, RE 4 and RE 7 (the only ones I’ve played so far) excluding the Lady Dimitrescu section. Tbh, the game should’ve been focused on her from what I’ve played

Re: Big Yakuza Kiwami 3 Demo Beats Down PS5 Tomorrow

CWill97

@johncalmc literally commented this without seeing your comment so my bad! 😂😭😂 I really hope it’s separate. Mainline Yakuza games can be a grind. I don’t mind platinuming Dark Ties because it’ll probably be like the original Gaiden’s length
