SMT V. I’m having a blast with it

It looks incredible but I’m alternating between SMT V and a The Witcher 3 replay. I’ll play this eventually because I bet it’s amazing

I have faith they’ll make something fun. They do a great job with their games so it’s awesome they get the chance to shine on their own. Doubt it’s a new IP though because of the wording

I’ll buy it eventually because I love Hiro Mashima’s art style. But I lowkey kind of hope he didn’t write the story (if this game has an emphasis on it. I haven’t watched the trailer yet). He kind of has dropped the ball a bit on his past two mangas’s final arcs. Anyways, still interested in this!

@QBGaming12 yeah that’s the exact reason why I pounced on a physical copy when it fell to $40 last year. Still haven’t played it yet but it’s back up to full price. There’s only a small window to buy it discounted with games like these unfortunately 😭😭

@Enuo nah I don’t think that’s it. FT has had a “side sequel manga” going on the same time as Eden’s Zero. So a new anime season makes perfect sense. EZ never hit the popularity of FT but it definitely wasn’t a failure

Free online games almost never have fun/reasonsble trophy lists. Not that I actually play online games anymore 😂😂

This game has to be related (in some sense) to Fate/Zero right? Maybe not directly but still. I watched that anime years ago. I think it had the blonde chick Saber that my gf at the time obsessed with. I’ve never heard of this game before so maybe I’ll look into it more. I’ve watched two Fate anime (Zero I think then the one with Rin) so it may be up my alley

I was going to start SMT V: V but I’m waiting for my Celtics to finish off the Mavs before I play it. Too anxious to start a new game before then. So I’m replaying the Novigrad portion of The Witcher 3 on PS5. Still an all time amazing game

I feel like video game leaks kinda take the fun out of the showcases/events/whatever. I try to avoid them the week of an event by staying off social media but these things get leaked weeks before at times

I don’t know how well a Kim game would’ve been made. A lot would have to change. You wouldn’t have been able to do the dumb stuff like you did with Detective Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau. It’d be more serious of a game which is meh to me. An adult Cuno game with him being a constantly high detective instead of a drunk one would actually work really well IMO

Even with a guide, you still need to beat the bosses which is no small task. I get wanting to go in blind but if you’re struggling, it’s acceptable to use a guide. Some people don’t click with every boss. It’s okay.

@amatmulisha literally my thoughts exactly. I platinum’ed Control on PS4 before the PS5 version existed. I may replay that again down the line. But I was so excited to try Alan Wake 1 when it hit PS+. I was so disappointed by what you said: outdated controls and just the clunky gameplay. I’m going to give Alan Wake 1 one more attempt before moving onto Alan Wake 2. 2 just looks so damn good

@MikeOrator I’m so pumped for SMT V:V. I played my first SMT game last year (3) and really enjoyed it for the most part. I didn’t play the original V so I’m going in very fresh thankfully

I’m already buying it Day 1 so I’m good. So pumped for a new IP in Metaphor from Atlus before Persona 6. SMT V & Metaphor combined with Persona 3 Reload makes this the year of Atlus/Sega (if we include my GOTY Infinite Wealth) 😎😎😎

Still unrealistically waiting for Small Soldiers from PS1 to come on Premium. It’ll never happen but I had fond memories of playing it with my brothers 😂

I redownloaded Alan Wake Remastered to give it another try this summer. I loved Control but Alan Wake 1 wouldn’t stick with me. I really want to play Alan Wake 2 but won’t until I get through 1 😭😭😭

For people who have played the Dragon Age games:

I’ve never played a Dragon Age game. Is this a sequel or is it “safe” to play this game like a standalone? If it’s a sequel, where would I start?

Astrobot appears to have enough content to warrant full price IMO. It looks fantastic

I doubt it would’ve been hard for them to do a Bloodborne-esque DLC trophy list where you defeat the main bosses and collect new weapons. Most people playing the DLC will be doing that anyways. It would’ve been easy to meet trophy hunters halfway there IMO. Still going to play it after SMT V: Vegenance

Has Black Myth Wukong shown any gameplay? Can’t remember seeing any in the trailer. If not, kind of weird since it’s releasing soon. The cinematics look fantastic though!

Pretty big bummer here. I pretty much only buy physical games unless it’s either digital only indie titles that I want to support or the discount digitally is too good to pass up. I’m not opposed to digital games, but it’s really misleading buying a game expecting a disc only to get a download code. Not everyone who will preorder will see this so some will be disappointed

I thought it was pretty interesting. Not bothered in the slightest. Happy others het to play a Horizon game, even it’s a Lego one

Pretty meh to me. Didn’t help that the secondary host was dull. They probably should’ve found someone with more hosting experience. There were some nice indie titles in there, but nothing that made me crazy excited like when TGA announced Hades 2

Is there a single player component to Halo? I’ve never played it before so I have no clue. If there is, I’d be interested

They’ll drag TLOU2 out but they short changed TLOU1? So much great content emitted that could’ve bought them at least a few more episodes

If they do dynasty mode right, then I’m there Day 1. I spent countless hours as a kid making irrelevant colleges national champs. Hopefully dynasty is still going to be fun to play

Can someone tell me what day the “main showcase” is for SGF? I know they have other ones like Microsoft (I think) and Ubisoft. But I have no clue which one is the main one since it’s worded weirdly on their website. Thanks!

Seems like Sony is pushing Astrobot to be their next big Platformer mascot. I’m all for it 😎😎 Admittingly, I’m not breaking any “stage/level” records, but it’s still super fun regardless. 80 levels will surely keep players busy.

80 levels??? I didn’t catch that before. This game looks like it’ll be worth every penny. I’ll probably support it Day 1 because it’s clear how much love the devs put into the first game. Here’s hoping the 2nd is just as great!

I was really hoping for at least a little teaser of SM2 DLC in the State Of Play. I wanted to wait for all of it to release before diving into NG+. It felt really good playing it. It also looked beautiful on my OLED as well

I’ll probably replay one of the first two games soonish. My summer games are really only SMT V and maybe Elden Ring DLC depending on how much content it has. I’m probably missing something though 😂😂

The only “Warrior-esque” type game I’ve played was Persona 5 Strikers. I absolutely adored it. So I’ll give this one a chance. It looked fun

It looks like it improved on so much from the first game which was already awesome. Tempting Day 1 buy for me. Looks excellent

I didn’t feel like this State of Play was necessary if that’s what was being shown.
