Yeah I really wonder how this affects players who have beat the game on NG+. Will it be too easy for end game builds if it’s supposed to be played alongside the main game? I’m buying it regardless tho

I guess it’s technically a “shadow drop”. But the billions on trillions on gazillions of leaks were literally free advertising that hyped the game up. Most games that are shadow dropped do not have that insane build up for months. No shade to Bethesda because if it was planned, it was brilliantly executed.

A sequel with all the experience and feedback they’ve learned from the first game should be amazing. I’m all here for it 😎😎

These action games have long shelf lives. Plus it could go on gaming services and make money that way. They’ll be fine

Wonder if I could reroll a bit on mobile then still be able to use it on PS5 whenever that comes out? I have no clue how gachas on consoles work or if they even transfer

@MrPeanutbutterz nah, it’s fun to replay games with additional goals in mind. Stellar Blade is a game that’s super fun to 100% IMO

It’ll be nominated for sure. But I’d hold out on anyone saying (if they are) it’s an actual GOTY lock. Death Stranding 2 & Ghost of Yotei will most likely be immensely popular and well-crafted games

Development can mean so many things IMO. I’m sure they were cooking ideas in their noggins during GTA V

I don’t care if people buy DLC cosmetics or anything. But these prices are excessive. It’s like the “whales”/big wallet spenders in some gacha games. They know those guys will always buy so they’re okay just shooting for the moon.

This may be my first ever GTA game but I’ll probably wait years to play it. I remember watching my brothers play when we were like 10 and their driving (if you can call it that) made me scared to get into my mom’s car for a week :’)))) good times

Oh, I thought it was going to be a collection of the first couple or few games? I would’ve been interested in that. No way am I buying an older remastered game like this unless it’s Final Fantasy or from Atlus. I’m sure it’ll sell very well, but I’ll wait for a heavy, heavy and even heavier sale

Dead Island 2. It’s a mindlessly fun game. Don’t go into it expecting “The Last of Us” story telling. But it’s enjoyable in its own ways

After seeing this, all I care about is seeing Astrobot brawl Agent Clank. If Sony made it a PPV event, Floyd Mayweather Jr. may come out of retirement to fight the victor

Love Uchikoshi and his wildness in regards to story telling. So it’s a bummer it didn’t launch on PS. Hopefully that changes in the near future! I’d be a Day 1 supporter tbh

Preordered it on Day One and it still was delayed 5 days. Received it though so I’m stoked. I’m always going to go physical copies and usually hold out on digital only releases or find a way around it. For example, for LAD: Gaiden, I bought a physical copy on PlayAsia. Glad this game will restock soon so more people have the opportunity to buy it physically!

Honestly the “leaks” were such great marketing that they didn’t need to pay for much if any. All video game media sites ate up every rumor so it was free advertising. That and the existing fanbase enabled it to shadowdrop. Props to them for the successful launch. They’ve probably made a buttload off of it

I’ve platinum’ed it once. I probably would’ve bought the DLC already if there were trophies. It would’ve been pretty simple just to put trophies in for defeating the new bosses. I get other Dark Souls games didn’t have them but Bloodborne did (give us a PS5 remaster/remake). I’ll get to both the DLC & PS4 platinum run for Elden Ring eventually.

But honestly? I’d rather double platinum Lies of P first. It may not be as great of a game but it’s got that Bloodborne vibe without being a 100% clone

Elden Ring is amazing though and deserves its flowers. No doubt about it! It’d be hard to just jump right back into the DLC after not playing it for years though

It’s really hard to mimic what Persona does. Its art style with gorgeous UI’s & menus, party members that make you feel like you’re part of the crew, flashy combat that’s both simple yet complex, unique takes on mythology with the stories and demons/shadows, and instantly classic music that you can hum for days is all very difficult to replicate. I wish this project luck but Persona is truly one of a kind for a reason.

I would’ve bought it if it allowed the PS+ Collection upgrade for like $10 to $20ish. If the used copies were cheaper, I would probably cave. But they jumped to $20+ so nah.

I’ll get to it whenever it launches on PS+ Extra. Very glad the game runs well. I loved it on the PS4 (well I played it with a PS5 but still 😂😂😂 )

Honestly I’d be down for more action like the style in the Remake series. They nailed it with that combat. I think the bigger issue is the mainline series (excluding the MMO) doesn’t feel truly fantasy anymore. Sure, there’s magic to an extent and creatures to fight. But FF is known for having unique party members/characters of many species and extravagant areas that don’t look the same/aren’t generic. Until they go back to that in the direction, it’ll just be another action game that I’ll still buy tbh

Completely forgot this was coming out. Not a great decision releasing it in the USA on the same weekend as the NFL Draft. But I’m not sure how conflicting those target audiences are tbh

I refuse to waste my ink even with a black & white printer) back and keep it for myself. Then boom, October 2nd finally comes. In my typical revenge style, I’ll flaunt the physical game box to her and say: “Betcha wish you didn’t disown me now!!!” Of course that will be followed by a tactical retreat to the basement like every mature adult that lives at home does

I’ve had the pre-order set since they opened. I wanted to support the studio because they seem so passionate and looked like they could be the next up-and-coming devs with massive talent. If they delivered such a big yet gorgeous game with a small studio, they’ll keep on getting better as the years go on. Plus, the premise/concept of “The Paintress” and the number written was so damn cool in the first few trailers. So, I have faith in their storytelling, world-building and the actual skills to develop more than one hit game

Even though I bought the game and am keeping it, I’m thinking of waiting until a few patches come. I would like to wait until the lip sync issue gets remedied somewhat. Plus, it’ll be more polished with more time. My Amazon order got delayed to Tuesday which is a blessing in disguise 😂😂😂

Tbh I was struggling hard to steal stuff from people. It’s a hobby of mine to absolutely steal everything in sight in RPGs when I can.

Ace Attorney Investigations 1. I told myself: “Take a break after the Apollo Justice trilogy. It’ll feel better if you wait on it.” …that wait lasted less than 2 weeks before I caved hard

I played some Lords of the Fallen (PS5). Combat is too easy after playing Sekiro, Bloodborne, Lies of P & Elden Ring. The umbral world with the lamp is pretty dang cool though. Platinum trophy seems like a slog in it with the terrible loot rates/system.

AC Valhalla I’ve been replaying region by region. It’s mindless fun. Story isn’t anything special but I love using my axes to brawl people in it. So I’ve slowly chipped away at another region. Got so overlevelrr so damn fast that I had to increase the difficulty

Debating continuing replays of Hades (second platinum) or Octopath Traveler 2 (same second platinum) on Sunday night

Really need a new game besides AA Investigations to sink my teeth into. More action or turn base focused.

We’ll get the most polished version so I’m fine. As long as it actually makes its way over here eventually

Yakuza: Like A Dragon’s mini-game Dragon Kart was pretty fun most of the time

If I wasn’t downstairs (and away from my OLED) due to surgery protocols, I would’ve bought AC Shadows Day 1. It looks gorgeous and tbh, I love the gameplay loop. It’s mindless fun. Not every game has to be super intense (and still great) like TLOU Part 2. Even if the story could be lacking (I’ll judge that for myself), I know I’ll get my money’s worth roaming around Japan anyways

I really hope so because I have no interest in these purely multiplayer games. I love the multiplayer aspect in the base solo games although I rarely use it

Nintendo can get away with it because people are going to buy Mario Kart, Mario Party, Smash Bros., Zelda, Pokemon, etc no matter what. If their even is a loss in # of sales, they’ll make that tiny difference up with the increased initial price more than likely. Plus, their flagship games don’t go on sale often

I feel as if I got enough from it my first time around. Now if they make the platinum easier… maybe I’d consider it. I say all this knowing I’d cave Day 1 if it comes here

Yeah I’m not interested in these multiplayer games from FromSoft. I don’t play these games for MP. In fact, I turn it off 😂😂😂 Anti-social FTW

I might buy it for my younger brother (and by extension his girlfriend who’s equally as awesome) because he does a crap ton for me. But… I’m probably never going to play it unless it’s with him. I loved my 3DS but I wasn’t huge on the Switch even though I bought one each for my brother and I. I’ll stick to my PS5 Pro and have a blast playing games that way. I’m happy the Nintendo fans are getting a great system though!!

I’m replaying AC Valhalla because I have no other big games I want to play ATM. I’m stuck downstairs due to surgery protocols so I’m just either replaying games or playing games that aren’t mindblowing in graphics. I honestly really want to dive into Hard Mode of FF7 Rebirth or FFXVI but I’m saving them for my OLED. AC Valhalla is mindless fun tbh

This is a great way for Sony to vet out some younger studios not yet affiliated with them, have the developers get their feet wet and gain more experience, and maybe revive some classic IPs in the process. It’s a no brainer for Sony really

PS5 has been a really weak gen for Naughty Dog. I don’t mind the remasters/remakes unlike most, but only one potential new game/IP that’s probably releasing near the end of the life cycle? That’s not the best generation for such a prolific studio IMO

I’ve already platinum’ed the PS5 version of Lies of P and have regretted not buying the physical PS4 version ever since. Still waiting for it to go a little lower 😭😭

Lowkey, high key, every damn key in existence hate this. This is a bizarre feature not to put as optional and comes across as lazy. I was so stoked for this game too 😭😭😭 Heavily debating canceling my preorder now.
