Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2 Punching PS5 in the Mouth from 8th December

Sega being sega with not giving at least a $10 option to upgrade our ps4 version. Lame.

Comes out later than the Switch 2 versions and also don't have an upgrade option like those versions.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds had a digital deluxe version on Switch with no early access but every other platform did.

SEGA needs to...I dunno....be consistent?

Will replay even though already finished. Hopefully trophy lists are brand new.

Same with 0. Love these games. And I'll be replaying 3 when Kiwami comes out. Hopefully 3 Kiwami fixes the jarring transition between the ending of 2 and beginning of 3.

Nothing gets me harder than remakes of games I can already play on my PS5.

Just imagine paying again for a game you already own and you already can play as intended. These lazy remasters, so-called upgrades and bundles exist solely because there is enough people who would give away their hard earned money to greedy companies. Does anyone know where the 0 and kiwami bundle can be preordered and does it come with a steelbook?

@Czar_Khastik Sega/Atlus fans are conditioned to buying games multiple times and defending it at this point. It's upsetting but Sega are consistently rewarded for this nonsense.

@cainhurst94 Although I am not proud of it, I will admit that I have been a small part of that irrational behavior a couple of times.

Only interest for these for me would be 60fps compared to the ps4 versions. At least I know kiwami 2 is only 30fps. But still kinda sucks with no upgrade path

@KidRyan AFAIK it just means new text languages. Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2 on PS4 only launched with EN text; the Switch 2 / PS5 / Xbox series versions are adding additional European / Latin American languages.

TBH I'm not gonna buy these again as I've already bought both games twice (PS4 & Steam). Kiwami 3 on the other hand . . . gods, I already have 4 copies of that game (Ryu ga Gotoku 3 on PS3, Yakuza 3 on PS3, Yakuza 3 Remastered on PS4 & Steam).

Sucks there is no upgrade path, but better visuals, fps and more trophies.. i'm happy to replay these great games again!

Yakuza Kiwami 2 finally unshackled from the hell of 30fps on PS4. One of the very best Yakuza games, in my opinion.

Still, no upgrade option for any of these PS5 ports is rubbish.

Kiwami 2 is one of my least favourite to revisit because of the 30FPS. I’d need a deep discount for this though.

Wouldn’t mind playing Kiwami again. I loved Zero so much and went straight into Kiwami which I think led to burnout. Kiwami 2 being enhanced is sorely needed, as well!

Might get the 20th anniversary pack.

Any confirmed price or pre-order link for 20th bundle? As someone who has only played 7 & 8, I would love to give 0-2 a try finally.

Please tell there is Japanese available with English subs. Yakuza with English dub is just not right.

All these games will be available for heavy discounts soon enough, I can wait when I have so many other games to play anyways, didn't know they were releasing Kiwami 1&2 for ps5 although it seems to be a port and no new changes apart from some languages, I am however interested by yakuza 3 Kiwami when that comes out next year, hopefully my playlist of games will be less dense by then 🤔

I assume the PS5 Kiwami 2 port will be 60fps? It better be! I've been playing on my Steam Deck at around 40fps, would love this to maintain a full 60.

Also I wanted the anniversary one because I am a Yakuza fanboy 😭, probably gonna be expensive

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is my favorite Kiryu game so I’m stoked to replay it once again. I’m part of the double dipping problem 😭😭😭 Can’t stop, won’t stop buying Yakuza/Like A Dragon games

I'm curious about visual and performance enhancements. If there aren't any, I'll stick to Kiwami 1 & 2 for PS4, which I own in steelbook editions. If there are, or even better, new content, then those editions will sell well enough to pay for the new ones.

Kiwami 3, on the other hand, does have new content. The problem, after a 8+ year period since the last remake (Kiwami 2), is: how likely Kiwami 4 and 5 (and 6) are? And when would they be released? Because I have the PS4 collection of 3, 4 and 5 still sealed, but if Kiwami 4 is going to be released in 10 years then I'll play 4 and 5 in PS4 version. I hope all this is clarified soon so we can know what to expect.
