Does that mean Crunchyroll will stop offering three months of game pass for free if you sign up to crunchyroll?

If it's confirmed, that's fine. Doesn't bother me waiting a little more time, and still got games to finish in the mean time.

Considering the install base, Returnal's sales are very good for a Roguelike.

Last of Us Part 2 is inevitable for a "directors cut" but it's a silly name for them. Last of Us Part 2 will have the factions add on but I doubt anything else in the main story. I would love to see more from the scars faction though.

All you had to do EA was release a remastered trilogy and take out the microtransactions of the third game. I am not so interested in a remake.

That's great, I was worried the yearly release would abruptly cease to be and the world would end.

We all want one but inevitably they won't do one. I wish they would because we hardly know anything beyond a couple of titles for 2022 and that's only cause they got delayed. A blog isn't a place to get all the info on new releases or announcements. State of Plays featuring more than one game is the step in the right direction. But I want a big show and multiple deep dives and trailers.

Moss Book 2 peaked my interest. Loved Death Stranding and looking forward to the directors cut. The State of Play was fine, they did what they said they would and I just hope there's another one sooner rather than later.

August 6th is next rumoured date. Popped up even before this July 8th State of Play was rumoured. Hopefully more first party reveals and not just updates. Kinda want to see what 2022 is looking like.

Wow that is such a disappointment after the last month or so. Not a great response from Sony after near silence. Great, I love the look of Deathloop, I'm there. You don't need to show me anything more, and what else more needs to be shown really? Indie showcase - but I heard Sony hates indies? 🤣 I hope this one video states there will be a state of play each month for the rest of the year, cause I am so disappointed at the sound of that line up. Great that it has been announced! Surprised it's an expansion rather than standalone. This has pretty much dashed my hopes for a new State of Play for the announcements, but I guess this was one that was leaked awhile ago so it might still happen without this one. That upgrade and price path is god awful though.

@Reeneman Yeah it's absolutely great that they are improving things and it isn't just done at the shipping date.

Luckily I haven't started it yet and can start fresh on PS5!

@Areus Yes! I think as Xbox have their own dedicated team that Playstation should have theirs, helping devs release the PS5 upgrade quicker.

Very excited to see what they will do with Spider-Man 2. Commendable that they keep updating and improving their released games, but I guess it is a testing ground for what will come next for them.

Seriously though, being self employed, I am multiple jobs in one, including promotion. So yes, Sony's "demands" don't seem too much as you should be doing all that anyway. Write a blog and make platform specific trailers because you need to. Sony isn't going to do all that for you, even if they like you.

I like Bloober's stuff, and if anything - this confirms one rumour that was floating around, and in part might confirm another - that Konami are working with a prominent Japanese developer to reboot the Silent Hill franchise. Fingers crossed this is leading to an announcement from Sony. Saw one website say 8th July for their rumoured showcase. With Housemarque, Ghost of Ikishima, Bloober's Silent Hill, Kojima's Death Stranding Director's Cut and other leaks coming out, I think we are in for a really great show from Sony.

@Divergent95 Absolutely. "We see you've done some extra work on this free thing we got, can we have it again for free?" That's not a good deal. Have it off with Sony as they didn't broker a deal with the studio for the PS5 version.

@GamingFan4Lyf Yeah because it's not a lot of work. From what I understand it, PS5 versions need a whole new standalone game application, rather than a simple update for the Xbox version to take full advantage of the Xbox series X system. They are having to work with the integrated SSD and the Dualsense haptic feedback to make full use of the PS5. That isn't done in just an update, unfortunately.

Can people stop comparing PS+ to Game Pass, when this is a Games with Gold comparison... Yes we got Greedfall PS4 for free. Should we get the free upgrade when another paid subscription is getting it? No. They are paying monthly for the most up to date games, we are paying for online multiplayer with bonus offerings. Hassle Sony to make PS Now more competitive instead.

Great to see Housemarque join the Sony family. It was inevitable! Also that slip up on JP's social media means Bluepoint ain't far behind! Exciting times ahead! Returnal was fantastic and I would love to see Bluepoint tackle something that they will build from the ground up. Fingers crossed this is leading to a State of Play show.

Right here is my theory! Nuare have worked with Kojima in the past, they are working on this game with Hasan from Blue Box Studios, because Hasan is working on the game since he joined Kojima Productions Amsterdam!! Kojima wanted to make this new game in secret, like he did with MGS V, and Hasan stepped forward with "I have this inactive studio account and social media channels that you could use to work on this game in plain sight". This is it! We will find out tomorrow, but this is my theory! Aahhhhh! I DID IT!! I'M SO EXCITED!

I would love this to be a Resistance reboot! Release the trilogy remaster as well! Release ALL THE INSOMNIAC GAMES! Give us Sunset Overdrive while you're at it. I am there!

I am glad he has made the video and they can now put this to bed. But then Kojima Productions had to go and like the video on Twitter and this has sparked fresh theories that the guy is an actor.

I loved Dead Space 1 and 2. If they came out with a remaster of trilogy along with this reboot I would be very happy!

Ratchet & Clank is incredible, but Returnal is a brilliant kick to the nuts in terms of addictive gameplay. Picked Resident Evil as well cause I just love the series and this was a great entry.

@TooBarFoo I think it's just a term usually attributed to movies that Kojima has chosen because of his reputation. Could have gone with Extended Edition as well. Hopefully the expansion is quite substantial, as I wouldn't mind leaping into this with PS5 upgrades.

Just checked their twitter and they have since deleted all of the "incriminating" tweets including the "Abandoned = s_______l" tweet that got a lot of people thinking this was Silent Hill. They have pinned a tweet, reiterating that the game isn't Silent Hill and are not working with Hideo Kojima. I think they are now setting the record straight and admitting they messed up and need to damage control before everyone screams at them on Friday when we get access to the trailer app and it shows it definitely isn't Silent Hill. Oh well, I am bowing out from this conspiracy.

If this isn't a big reveal of a Silent Hill remake/reboot, I think we should blame Sony rather than this small developer. Sony have been extremely tight lipped about any upcoming PlayStation Studios work and exclusives, and so people are now blowing up the smallest of details in anything they can find. We really want to know where PlayStation is going this generation, and after a big E3 showing from Xbox, we just want a response from Sony. Sony don't need E3, but it's nice knowing when something could be scheduled to be revealed. Right now info is drip fed and I think that needs to change.

Would love a remaster of the trilogy. I never played the third game as I didn't like it went more action and co-op, but willing to give it a try. The Mass Effect trilogy remaster has been a well done job so I am excited to see what they do with it.

A better spin on this story is that Alan Wake Remastered was spotted in the listing and hopefully heading to multiple platforms in a publishing deal with Epic Games. Not "this game that was always timed exclusive ain't exclusive no mo' "

Twice they've gone out of their way to say they are not working on Silent Hill and are not Hideo Kojima, despite previous messages alluding to Hideo Kojima and Silent Hill. The game name tweet in particular. But yeah, if it is just a small studio riding the hype then they will get torn to shreds by the conspiracy theorists.

Feels like an obligation rather than a time to celebrate. If everyone didn't have sideshows and showcases of their own then it would have probably been a lot better and more focused. I think Nintendo and Xbox did best out of all of them but of course they did. Capcom talked about games already out for goodness sake! Where were all the rumoured games?! Elden Ring stole the show

Moby Dick Studios denied similar when the "brand new studio" was teasing a new game and they had flat out denied they were working on MGS V The Phantom Pain...
