Re: 'I Want to Celebrate Everything I Love About the Games': Zach Cregger's New Resident Evil Movie Looks Like a Blast

CKFilms

I don't think a straight adaptation could ever satisfy the RE fanbase, as there's no sense of dread for characters you know can't (or won't) be killed. Best to go with an Ethan type and see how their story plays out. I'm definitely going into this with open mind, as I enjoyed Barbarian and Weapons.

Also, reddit has predicted the Nemesis type that Creggar has referenced in the movie is likely the boss from one of the Outbreak games, the one that obsorbs zombies like a rat king. Hence the shot of the door with multiple limbs coming out.

Re: '$1,000+ Consoles Could Become the Norm': PS6's Price Touted to Touch Four Figures

CKFilms

If they announce a very expensive PS6, I'll be justified in buying the PS5 Pro when I did and sticking with that for the foreseeable future. Sony need competition right now and for customers to fight price hikes with their wallet. I will choose not to buy. And with the rumour of a PS+ price hike coming, it looks like I'll be saying goodbye to Premium as well.

Re: Life Is Strange Reunion Pairs Max with Chloe Once More on PS5

After playing through Double Exposure, and Deck Nine trying to set up their own MCU of nosebleeds, I'm happy to leave this franchise behind. Tugging at the one storyline that worked, I'd prefer they didn't set one major story choice in stone for a new game. I prefered the anthology approach.

Re: Talking Point: PS6 In 2027 - How Do You Feel About Sony's Next-Gen Console?

CKFilms

It would take a very big new gen exclusive, from a franchise I love, for me to ever consider jumping straight into PS6. I am still enjoying a lot of PS5's games, and even the remakes and remasters, ps plus premium releases, and all the games still to come on PS5, that I doubt I will ever think about a PS6 console. Considering the potential cost of one as well, and Sony back at their PS3 ego peak, I highly doubt I'd even be able to afford one anyway.

Re: Want More Silent Hill on PS5? You May Not Have to Wait Long

Having finished my first playthrough of SHf, I'm happy to say I love it and excited to see how much NG+ changes things. I'd be very surprised if they do show some things from Bloober Team's SH1 remake, as full production was announced not long ago. I would hope they give Townfall a good showcase instead.

Re: Loads of PlayStation Concert Dates Cancelled Amid Rumours of Low Ticket Sales

CKFilms

If this is the same show I saw last year in Glasgow's Hydro, they didn't sell out then either, a lot of empty seats and even cut down on available seats before the show. The show itself wasn't great, and it felt like Sony had forgot a lot of what made them great over the years. It wasn't just Last of Us, Horizon, God of War, and Uncharted. So I was disappointed in the show.

Re: Sounds Like Sony May Finally Be Starting to Wind Down PS4 Support

CKFilms

5 years into the current gen's 7 year life cycle is an amazing achievement, but I very much feel this is Sony almost forcing a sunset on PS4, rather than it happening naturally. I bought a PS5 day one, but have to admit that the current gen exclusives have been sparse due to the market share with PS4. Sony aren't doing themselves any favours by keeping the console prices where they are. I don't see myself ever purchasing a PS6, due to a massive backlog of unplayed PS4/5 games, and the likelihood that the cross gen releases will continue well beyond 5 years after the PS6 release.

Re: Silent Hill 2's Overdue PS5 Pro Fixes Now in Konami's Hands

CKFilms

I'm not waiting on the fixes particularly. I'm going through Silent Hill f at the moment and I haven't been distracted by the shimmering, but did notice it while having a good look at it. I have found a few noticeable frame drops though in the town area, when the general store has a number of enemies outside it.
