I Wish Sony's Other Studio's Put In This Kinda Work.
Will this be implemented in the remastered original as well? (Currently replaying the DLC campaigns)
I'm guessing they've managed to get the RT reflections running at native or close to resolution, just like R&C did at launch.
This is awesome, just in time for my first playthrough!
@Katsuhono
Yep. That's what I'm thinking as well, as they run at 1/4 native resolution beforehand.
I don’t think I can replay this game for a 4th time 😂
Insomniac are gods.
Nice. Just got this game recently but haven’t started it yet. Also got a nice new telly for the weekend. Can’t wait to give it a go.
Is there any studio as prolific as Insomniac lately?
I wonder if they'll add a 40 fps fidelity mode like R&C?
Sweet definitely want to replay this at some point. Seems after finishing returnal I have the urge to replay games, currently on horizon and want to play both tlou games again, and God of war, and now this, that's not including the massive backlog of games I have yet to play. I do have a week off next week so will try and finish a few things
@Katsuhono +1
Looking forward to further analyses.
It’s crazy how good insomniac take care of their games and implement some improvements of their engine back to former titles.
I mean the muscle deformation feature that was introduced with a patch, now this RT improvement - for a game that’s over 6 months old now. So nice!
@BoldAndBrash Interesting take. I actually found RDR (1&2) shooting mechanics to be extremely automated in comparison to the average fare. It made the combat scenarios relatively insignificant. I can’t remember dying much if at all during RDR2. In Spider-Man there were legit times when I had to use some skill and trial and error to get through some of the scenarios. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed both RDR2 and Spider-Man, and consider both excellent in different ways.
Edit: Also I had to respawn a few times in Ghost of Tsushima, although the sheer multitude of combat options made a lot of combat trivial. Those supplemental mini bosses could be quite challenging though.
Such a stunning looking game and 60FPS is silky dreamland.
@JapaneseSonic I totally agree, I adored many old PS1/Saturn era games, but so many of them have aged awfully*. Except for Resident Evil, which will be perfect forever.
*a notable exception being 2D arcade fighters and shooters which were and still are super playable.
@BoldAndBrash whoa, hold on a minute, your going complain about the lack of swing physics in a game, then state you prefer RDR2 to tsushima because of its physics? Pretty sure RDR2 has no bullet physics, ie no bullet drop.
Its fine if you don't like spiderman its your choice, but I just don't understand why you would reference a game with outdated gunplay.
Very excited to see what they will do with Spider-Man 2. Commendable that they keep updating and improving their released games, but I guess it is a testing ground for what will come next for them.
P.S. Sunset Overdrive Remastered if you can, please!
I would like a PC port of this and the first one.
Bloodborne can't even get one single patch smh Why Sony hate us?
@CKFilms I see it vice-versa to be honest. They are still improving their engine during development of their new and current games and then back-adding some of the features and improvements to their „old“ games which is pretty great in my opinion.
@ViolentEntity yea the PS4 had such a great line up of exclusive games, definitely the best for me anyway, and it shows as I rearly replay games, but am currently playing horizon for 2nd time and it's still as enjoyable as the first time I played it. Hopefully ps5 tops PS4. Well we are off to a good start with returnal, demon souls and ratchet.
@Reeneman Yeah it's absolutely great that they are improving things and it isn't just done at the shipping date.
@BoldAndBrash What’d you think of Sekiro?
@Omnistalgic Hi there friend.
To answer your question: because they want us to by the remaster PS5 version, that´s why.
At least, that´s what I´m thinking.
Would love if Fromsoftware made a Bloodborne 2........ or any other talented developer who might want to take the reins of it.
I just want more Bloodborne. It´s a good thing, right?
At least, this means my first Spiderman Miles Morales playtrough is going to be "Ultimate". See what I did there? 😜
Cheers, stay safe everyone and happy gaming to us all
Can confirm that the ray tracing improvements do look so much better. Hopefully this will also be implemented on spider man for ps5. For me the acquisition of insomniac was the best out of all of Sony & Microsoft’s. Def the smartest & I'm really looking towards to what Insomniac brings us next.
@RaZieLDaNtE man, I would pay for a remastered, a remake, I don't care! After DeS remake though, it's just like??! Come'on Sony! Do this for Bloodborne!
@Omnistalgic
If Bluepoint decides to do a full remake of Bloodborne for PS5, just like they did with Demon´s Souls, I would cry of happiness..... And buy the game day one.
It is my most played game, 511 hours of a lot of playtroughs, deaths, tears, rage and enjoyment.
But yeah, they just need to say it exists, remake or remaster and people will line up for purchase.
And if they decide to tackle a Demon´s Souls sequel, that would be fine as well 👍
Cheers, stay safe and all the best
@RaZieLDaNtE This is what keeps me from going full twitter rage mode and asking Shu every day lol. I do think there's a remaster in the works for Bloodborne, it just makes too much sense. And for Bluepoint to do a version that looks just as good as the Remake, my gawd!!! I got the Plat for the remake as well but honestly, its one of the more basic souls game being the original. Something like Bloodbonre really turned up the depth of combat and the art style was superior as well. With the old Hunter DLC, it really would easily sell another 2-4 million units IMHO. Sony has to do it!! They got to!
@ViolentEntity you mean the re-release on PS1? Yes that was a nice little upgrade, with shuffled around puzzles and the like.
I'm hoping they add the 120 mode with fidelity at 40fps similar to Ratchet & Clank. Tried this mode last night and it was sweet. Here's hoping that's going to be the norm with future games, and no more 30fps with all graphics features enabled.
I still haven't gotten around to playing this yet, I might give it a try a my next new game I start up. I was thinking of starting Judgement as my next game though (I only played about 2 hours on PS4 and moved on to something else, I was too Yakuza'd out at the time after just finishing 6)
I am playing Watch_Dogs Legion at the moment(the PS5 version) and while playing it I was thinking this looks like a PS4 game :-/ but when you do switch on Ray Tracing it does look COOL Especially when it's raining in London Shame the rest of it don't look next-gen tho. Saying that I am still enjoying it tho
@ViolentEntity Gran Turismo was genuinely astonishing when it came out. Played that for hundreds of hours.
