Haven’t found a sidekick I want yet but Mothman Jr. came close. Each battle pass will have 1 side kick according to Epic so we’ll atleast get another “free” one next week.
@nhSnork XBC3 uses procedural generation which companies lump in with Gen AI these days but it isn’t Gen AI. Everything involved is still fully done by humans, they just make a code that puts those human made assets in a random sequence or order.
Minecraft uses the same tech and gen AI didn’t even exist in 2009.
Hopefull finishing Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on the Switch 2 and starting Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance. Also some Fortnite with friends on Ps5.
So for digital it only counts the electricity cost of the installation of a once and done game towards the emission but for physical is considers everything from the extraction and refinery of oil to the hypothetical situation that people throw their games in the trash once they’re done with it making it landfill fodder
@Enigk Fortnite is generally known as the cheapest and most consumer friendly live service game due to how bundles work, how the game makes completing passes so easy and how the game showers you with Vbucks and free cosmetics and skins all the time.
Despite all that, yes, FN is still quite expensive
These pets/sidekicks are getting pushback because they’re as expensive as skins but have to be rebought every time you want to change their style. Something no other cosmetic in game has with the exception of a single 6 year old skin which is probably the most hated cosmetic in game to the point epic never tried it again until now.
@Porco between 0, 1, 5, 6, Code Veronice, Outbreak and Outbreak 2 we have a good 15+ years of remakes left and after those they can probably still do Revelations 1 and 2. By that time they can stop remaking RE games and just swap between mainline sequels, spin offs and spin off sequels.
@Dan12836666 that doesn’t even make sense as they keep rereleasing 5. And 5’s rerelease on Switch was during peak callout culture which we’re long past.
@Oram77 it’s great, people just want 0, 1 and CV to be playable as over the shoulder action horror games. It’s not really about what’s better, moreso about consistency between the modern games and the pre 7 games.
I’m excited for it personally but the expectations is that it’s gonna do numbers to the playerbase in a bad way. Ever since mini season 1 (Star Wars) the concurrent players has been dwindling and it’s been below 1 million for a month now which has never happened before.
Mind you 900k concurrent players is still insane for an 8 year old game and the daily unique players is still in the 10 million since its not the same people being logged in 24/7 obviously so the game is still healthy.
A bit mainly because I know Sony is capable of so much more and has done so much more. I do enjoy their modern stuff but I wish they never closed Sony Japan Studios.
At the end of Chibi-Robo on the Switch 2. After that I’ll try and finish Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice before Trails in the Sky: 1st Chapter releases. Maybe I’ll try and squeeze in Guacamelee.
@LifeGirl sorry for the second @ IIRC they also sued games over using a frying pan as a melee weapon because they argued PUBG’s “iconic” frying pan default melee weapon was too closely associated with their brand.
And they sued a game over using “winner winner chicken dinner” for similar reasons
@LifeGirl yeah they argued that PUBG invented the Battle Royale genre and term even though the Genre was literally created by a Minecraft mod and the term was literally stolen from a movie with a similar concept.
@nessisonett yeah I’m double on this. On the one hand I don’t want Atari gobling up indie devs because of Atari’s past. On the other hand Atari has been treating their studios really well and they’re kinda an indie publisher atm seeing how small they are and what they make.
@PuppetMaster Gunn and Suda both have stated in the past they where blocked from any involvement with the franchise. They both have tried to reaquire the IP for a potential remake or sequel and Gunn even offered to help out with music licensing for the remaster.
After the last 2 BF’s flopped commercially that would be absolutely idiotic.
That’s a garanteed flop unless all old BF fans suddenly return.
EDIT: also is charging €79,99 now gonna be the standard in Europe despite the euro being stronger than the USD by a lot?
Nintendo is also charging €89,99 for Mario Kart World in Europe.
Playing Donkey Kong Bananza on the Switch 2 at the moment. I’m at layer 1.100. Also bought No More Heroes 1 and 2 last week on sale which I’ll be playing after. Besides that some more Fortnite on PS5
As long as he’s bald and south/south east asian I don’t care how handsome he is. Never thought of dhalsim as a character that needs to be ugly or below average anyway.
@rjejr last I checked @get2sammyb has no obligation to follow the masses their opinions on games. It’s not some journalistic code to only praise what’s commonly praised.
Bought Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Edition on my Switch 2 yesterday. Also still enjoying my replay of Yakuza 0 through Yakuza 0 Directors Cut. Besides that I’m still playing Mario Kart World online with friends.
Been thinking about starting Odin Sphere on my Ps5 though.
@get2sammyb I don’t mean this as moderation discussion as I was expecting my joke to be removed anyway. I fully agree. But I feel like the joke about Greta screaming is equally if not more unconstructive. 🤷♀️

Re: Embarrassing AI Art Plagues Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Launch
@Max_the_German the issue people have with AI isn’t that it’s poor, bad or low quality. It’s that it wasn’t made with intent and thought by humans.

Re: Resident Evil 0 PS5 Remake Rumours Persist, Could Still Be Years Away
@PuppetMaster with 9 being a sequel to the outbreak games I can see them remaking outbreak 1 and 2 sooner rather than later.

At this point they’ll remake Survivor, Dead Aim and Degeneration before they’ll remake Code Veronica.
Re: Fortnite's Long Anticipated The Simpsons Mini-Season Could Be One of Its Best
@Vermines there is no simpsons movie game
Around the time of the movie EA released “The Simpsons The Videogame” but that was coincidence 😅

Re: This Year's Fortnitemares Has an All-Star Lineup on PS5, PS4
@Jacko11 probably €25 for all 5 + 2 emotes, a glider, 5 backpacks and 5 pickaxes if recent 5 skin licensed bundles are anything to go by.
The car however will be an additional €25 😭

2 amazing indie games and an amazing indie turned AAA game.

Goemon please.
Or give us a goemon collection. Either works.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Is Finally Out on 4th September
@get2sammyb not until the PushSquare, NintendoLife and PureXbox reviews are out!
We also need our obligatory “game was mid” hot take cycle to start in 2 months.
Re: These 8 PS5, PS4 Games Will Leave PS Plus Extra in September
Damn 4 games I installed last month to play soon.
Guess I’ll be looking for the physicals again.

No Suda and no Gunn means no interest from me.
I hate how they where both blocked from any future involvement despite offering to help fund a remake.

Re: Final Fantasy 9 Celebrates 25th Anniversary, But the Rumoured Remake Is Nowhere to Be Seen
The remake was part of the old Nvidia leak. Like 99% of that leak has since been announced or released. The big outlier is still FF9R.
Re: Best inFAMOUS Games
Could never get into InFamous 1. The difficulty curve was insane.
Adore Second Son and First Light though.

Re: Street Fighter 6's Big Balance Patch Bundles in Four Famicom Favourites for Free
Mighty Final Fight is a crazy expensive game these days.
Cool to see it in SF6. Here’s hoping they also add it to NES NSO.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 582
Hotel Dusk on the DS and Fortnite on the Switch and Ps5.
Not much in anticipation for the Switch 2. Gonna be a slow 12 days.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for May 2025?
Very happy with Sandland. That’s about it.
Still waiting for Premium to add things like Ape Escape 2 and 3, the ps2 R&C games and ICO.
