Re: Former PlayStation Boss Shawn Layden Says It's 'Criminal' Industry Isn't Properly Preserving Games

@Lukasamba @Member_the_game @IOI DoesItPlay recently released the specific numbers on how many ps4/5 games work from the disc.

14% of games specifically on ps4/5 don’t work at all without an update or online connection because they’re either not fully on disc, broken without updates or always online.

16% of games work without an update straight from the disc but have updates add more content. Games like minecraft, no man’s sky, ghostwire tokyo and stardew valley.

70% of games are fully playable without updates straight from the disc and have their updates fix minor issues like stability, minor bugs or don’t have updates at all.

Also keep in mind minor bugs have always been a thing in every console generation, but they only became fixable with updates during the 7th generation.

I beat Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 1 & 2 in the past week and started playing Solar Ash.

Still chipping away at Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations and I finally started Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 after taking a break from the game.

Beyond those I’ll probably be starting Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Super Castlevania IV.

I beat TOEM and Ace Attorney: Justice for All last week and I’m currently playing Solar Ash and Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations.

With spooky month starting tomorrow I’m gonna play spooky games all month. My plan is to beat Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, House of the Dead: Overkill, Until Dawn and Luigi’s Mansion 3 amongst other games.
Very maybe I’ll try Silent Hill 2 but that game is too spooky for me.

I beat Firewatch on my Xbox Series X last week and I continued playing Ace Attorney: Justice for All on Switch which I’m at the final episode for. I also started playing Baten Kaitos Remastered which is fun so far.

Beyond that I bought a handful of games including Gato Robotto, The Messenger, Neon White, Warhammer 40.000 Boltgun, Loop Hero and The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo which I might start too.

I beat Starfield yesterday on the Xbox Series X after playing it for almost 70 hours.
Currently continuing my playthrough of Ace Attorney: Justice for All I started on my Switch before Starfield.

Planning on starting Firewatch later and finally starting either God of War: Ghost of Sparta or Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time on Ps3.
Might also start Baten Kaitos 1+2 HD on the switch.

I beat Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective on Switch a few days ago and it was amazing, cried a bit at the end. I’m currently playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney which is great too, just started the 4th episode.

Pre installed Starfield on my Xbox Series X which I finally found my cautious hype for again. Don’t trust Microsoft anymore TBH but I still really hope Starfield and Forza Motorsport 8 will hit it out of the ballpark.

On Ps5 it’s just Fortnite this week, finishing up some quests before the next season releases on friday. Although I’m strongly debating on starting Horizon: Forbidden West.

@Kanji-Tatsumi remember when Zelda fans DDOS’d the Jimquisition website and doxxed James Stephanie Sterling (at that time still going by Jim Sterling) because they gave BotW a respectable 7/10 which caused the metacritic average to go from a 98/100 (at the time the highest average for a game) to a 97/100 (a shared highest average with almost 20 games).
After that they stopped reviewing games altogether for 6 years.

Also will finish up Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 before the next season in 2 weeks.

Beat Final Fantasy I, II and III last week on Switch without any knowledge about 2 and 3 and with minor knowledge about 1, alongside a replay of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and a blind playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission on Ps5.

Started Bayonetta on Switch which I don’t know anything about beyond having played chapter 1 and 2 on WiiU years ago.

Might start Final Fantasy IV after.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 485

I beat Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition last saterday on Ps5 and I’m currently replaying Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

I’m also still playing Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Wilds on my Switch and Ps5 with friends.

I’m almost done with Final Fantasy XV on Ps5. Thinking about going for the platinum trophy.

After that I’m probably gonna replay Persona 4 Dancing All Night on my PsVita.

Might also start Final Fantasy VII Remastered on the Switch as I’m still in a Final Fantasy mood.

Finally I started Ravenlock on my Xbox Series X.

Need to beat the 5 Royal Reverie levels of We Love Katamari Reroll after that I’m done with the remake.

I’m still playing Fortnite WILDS, bought the Air Max Airie skin and the Ciri and Yennefer skins from The Witcher

Beyond that I was thinking about starting Final Fantasy VI or Final Fantasy VII through the Pixel Collection

I also just placed an order for Bloodstained: Circle of the Moon Chronicles, The Ace Attorney Trilogy, Katamari Damacy Reroll and Ghost Trick at Play-Asia so that’s exciting.

After barely playing any gamea for 2 weeks I started and beat LocoRoco on ps4 a few days ago and I’m currently playing through LocoRoco 2.

A friend is gifting me The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom today so I’ll be playing that too.

Beyond that I’m planning on playing Jak and Daxter and Untitled Goose Game soon.

Just beat Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction this morning on ps3 after beating Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart the past week on ps5. Also reached level 100 in Fortnite and beat Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Might play Redfall on the Xbox Series X but I also surprised my friendgroup with a NSO+EP Family Plan on my cost so we can play stuff like Mario Kart 64 and GoldenEye together.

@Americansamurai1 @jmac1686 @EvilSilentFrame @BearsEatBeets @Total_Weirdo the issue is that it affects the grind to get them ingame.
Also there’s no reason to offer a €10 instant upgrade cheat when they could’ve easily made it an optional ingame modifier or difficulty option for free.
It’s basically selling you a toggle that can be achieved through accessing the developer menu on pc.

Beat Metroid Fusion yesterday and Kirby and The Forgotten Land a few days ago.

Currently playing Captain Toad Treasure Tracker on the Switch which is fun. Also playing Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox Series X which is the only forza game I haven’t played yet.
Lastly I just bought The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR for PS4/PSVR1 which I’ll probably play on my PS5.

@Vacuumator the game was originally announced as a ps3/ps4 multiplatform release in 2013 set to release in 2014. It has been delayed several times, has restarted development under new development times several times and has since been canceled for ps3 to become a gen 8 only title, announced to be on ps4 and ps5, and then cancelled on ps4 to be a gen 9 only title.

I beat Theatrhythm Final Bar Line last week on the Switch and I’m currently playing Hogwarts Legacy on the ps5. Not enjoying HL as much as I would’ve hoped TBH.

Probably gonna start Metroid Prime Remastered later today and finally play the only Forza Horizon game I’ve never played now that I found a physical copy of Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox One.
