As soon as the game boots, on the title screen it reads version 0.9.0.
Now, as far as I know, anything less than ver.1 usually means at the very least a beta, possibly a release candidate.
But it plays like an alpha build.
Had a deeper look, only 17 trophies.🙃
No gold's or of course, a platinum.
The ones available are easily had, based on the very little content.
I assume more will be added in future.
Grass has zero height and textures to it on default length. Looks like it was painted on glass.
Either that or the green on the 5th at whistling straits.
The longest length looks like a weird astroturf.
Just tried shortest length.. convinced they're all the same now. 🤣
Gameplay itself seems oddly unresponsive, it takes an age for it to finish an animation before input is then actioned.
The replays are jerky and unintuitive.
The crowd look like cardboard cutouts, again no depth or texture. And 80-odd percent of them are all doing the same thing, like something out of a North Korean military parade.
Looking through the credits, there seems to be an awful lot of 'old' licences and permissions; some dating back 10 years, like they only had tuppence ha'penny budget so used some seriously outdated
engines or programs.
Also, in the credits it only has the commentary and analysis for all the spoken languages and the music artists used. That's it.
No 'directed by' type credit, other than just a produced by 'Konami' one right at the end.
I was expecting an Alan Smithee one to be fair.
Guess no one wanted their names attached for fear of reprisals.
Who's idea was the shock blue and yellow design of the menus etc!!?? I'm not photosensitive but I thought my toes were gonna start curling and froth at the mouth it's so eye straining. 🤪🥴
Hmm, first footy game they've done using unreal 4. Used Fox engine before. Did they not get a user manual with U4?
I'm gonna keep it though.
So I can see if any improvements are made over god knows how long.
I've played PES since back in the PS2 days.
And this doesn't compare to anything before because it can't even be called bare bones at the moment. It's simply broken on all fronts.
If someone had created this in Dreams, they'd be applauded for a 'great effort' but it wasn't.
This was a major studio produced bit of ol' tat.
It's to stop people unlocking everything within days of a cheat file being distributed, then playing through the game in a manner which would normally require shed loads of grind, and then selling on the game, double-quick. I have it myself, and once I have completed a game 'properly' once, I put the save file through savewizard and unlock everything so that I get to enjoy all weapons, vehicles etc that I missed through a legitimate playthrough. Just ain't got the time a day to do it otherwise.
Though I must add I did bash the souls games this way. And thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Die and die again, but not dozens of times matey. 🤣🤣
Think I'm reading the room different to most others here. I don't consider myself lucky at all to have got a PS5 on launch day.🤔 The day it was announced I had the knowledge of 30+ years of gaming that it was gonna sell out and people going crazy like gangbusters. The PS5 hype and buzz was off the scale, certainly more so than the series x/s, because gamers long remember nonsense like bundled in cameras for silly money. Hence, on day one X/S were still available at most retailers and ONLY then sold out because people were settling for that rather than nowt.
An another thing, while I'm on me soapbox, saying no "decent exclusives, held back for current gen" are just grapes of the sourest kind.
Tis a bit like not knowing the rules to musical chairs, you don't stand around seeing what everyone else is going to do when the music stops. Got that out of a cracker🤪
A whole year delay... but there has been other stuff I've played so no thumb twiddling. Happy I managed to bag one of the Han frozen in carbonite steelbooks with extra gumph.
But I really don't get all the bleeting about the £70 price. It isn't. It's less than £58.
Never in me puff have I paid 'full asking price' and I buy loads of games day one.
Don't people shop around anymore??
GAME have never had day one discounts, Amazon hardly ever do but between all the other online gaming specialist shops, for those that DO want it day one, up to £12 off the £70 can't be bad.
@Fatal Bubbles
I myself sell on to a couple of blokes at work. Knock a tenner off of full retail, they can't get it cheaper, they well happy.
Biggest loss I ever had, £15, on Demon's Souls. That is, I knocked 15 off the full price.🙄
Don't trade.
Sell.
What a bugger!
Base.com sent it royal mail 48, not going to get it before Saturday, maybe not 'til Monday.🙄
Village was sent 24 and I got that on Friday.
I paid £46 for ME with 'free' postage.
Oh well, them's the breaks.
Delivered today, Base.com, PS5, just shy of £47. When finished, will sell on to someone at work for £40. Did the same for Demons, Valhalla and Miles. Happy gamers 👍
Nay bothered. Got Mass Effect coming in a couple of weeks, that'll be a time sink. End of year, PS5 patch for Cyberpunk then I'll play it. Or next year, not fussed. Free game anyway due to CDPR refund for physical. 👍
When the PS5 patch goes live I will no doubt enjoy playing my free game. Physical version, sitting on a shelf. CDPR refunded me directly. And when I'm done with it, I'll sell it on.
And if they ask for it back before I've done all that, lost in the post.
I'm really looking forward to playing this 'at some point'. People that have played it through say it's a great world, story etc etc (See, I didn't knock the game, because I haven't played it yet.) 😉
CDPR refunded me directly at the start of all the brouhaha and never asked for the game back.
So I've got a free game that at some point, I think I will really enjoy, free or not. £50 is a few hours at work so I'm a bit less triggered for 50 notes than most. On the other hand, I did get that back soo...🤦🏼♂️ I could play it sooner rather than later I know, and although they have already slipped from their roadmap dates, I'm sure the PS5 patch, this year/next year will make what many have called a great experience, only better.
Right, further to my previous post, just come back from Mumsnet. As I thought, my opinion was most unwelcome. "Why are you even here?" "Why say that if you haven't experienced it yourself?"
My 10 cent opinion, (of which you'll get 9 cents change).
Non PS5 owning grumps, read an article about some unlucky sod that had drift this one time in band camp and they immediately jump on it, rag on the system/controller, THAT THEY DON'T EVEN OWN, 'cos, you know, sour grapes.
Then you get the "This is why I don't buy day one" comments.
No. It isn't.
It's simply because they too poor to fork out day one, or couldn't get one full stop, so they dig it out, jump on the bandwagon, because they a bit John Smith's.
I honestly can't think of an article/forum etc that I have commented on where I didn't actually own the thing in question.
Do people think that it holds water when they chip in with 'opinion' when they don't even have a common frame of reference?
Next time I want to know what someone thinks of a meal or film they haven't seen, I'll go ask them what they think. 🤣🤣
Stick drift. It's a thing apparently.🙄 Never had it in over 40 years of gaming on dozens of computers/consoles, therefore many more joysticks/pads/controllers.🤷🏼♂️ Broken outright, yes. But only because of dropping or trod on. As you were.
In other news; I got my £49.99 refund from CDPR. Straight into my PayPal account. The game is still in my possession. Will sit tight until end of year or 2022 before playing my free game. Which I will sell on when finished 👍
Hmm, 20% of 1800 votes say yes to drift.
But no comments backing up those numbers...
And there's been 90ish comments..
Methinks salty non ps5 owning numps are voting to skew the numbers.
These polls are not worth running if every numpty with a chip on their shoulder can vote.
Same as I wouldn't vote on a PS4/pro poll.
Don't have one, it's beneath me. 🤣🤐
Pre-ordered the evening before they should have gone live, from GAME. About 11:30pm. Wasn't luck at all. Just experience. In what world did people think that all retailers will switch on preorder pages at exactly midnight, or 9am or whatever? Can't think of a time in my 35+ years of gaming, with at least 20odd of those purchasing hardware through t'internet, that any retailer has stuck to a time. Sometimes, for whatever reason, they go live LATE, maybe even by hours, but never 'on time'. Delivered day one, love the console, the silence, the load speed, the dualsense, everything. Also, "I'll get one when there are games for it" Erm, nope. The scalpers will carry on regardless. Games or no games, they have teams of people doing this, AS A JOB. People will be be buying from scalpers for a long while yet. While covid is still the buzzword of 2021, production lines, supply chains/distribution, are affected by it. The only way people will have a near fair chance is if bricks and mortar stores are open and have stock. Then it'll be back to the old fashioned camp out overnight. Do I support the scalper stance? No way, wonkers, the lot of 'em. But one needs to be realistic. Would I sell mine? No, because I won't be able to re-buy any time soon. And chiefly because I AM a gamer.
As I posted on a different thread, people need to strangle the scalper chain. Never buy from a reseller, and they will have large debts and no capital flow to pay those debts. All scalper groups do not start with ready cash. It's all purchased on short term, high interest loans, or credit cards at 30%. Will people stop buying? No. 'cos they want what they want.
I want all PS5 in the hands of gamers ASAP.
Keep 'em peeled, stay sharp, DON'T buy from resellers.
@Jimmer-jammer So if a refund is given, and they never ask for the game back, what is one to do from a moral standpoint? Throw the game in the bin? Therefore never playing a free game and not profiting by reselling it.
Surprised Pushsquare hasn't done an article that has been on Gamesradar+ among others in the past few days.. That people have been given their refunds direct from CDPR, and have still kept the physical disk.. so far. No request to send it anywhere. As yet. I have done the same. Have I played it, no. Will I, yes whenever the PS5 patch goes in, so not soon. So I get £50 back and rebuy off eBay for £30 at some point. Or... Let's be honest here, what others are doing but not completely being open about... Get money back, keep free game. 🤐🤫
Loved it on PS3, got the comic book spot on, music brilliant, difficulty reminded me of beat 'em ups on the speccy, like Target Renegade.
Bought it as soon as I saw this review.
Loving it again.
Online is crap though. At least a second or so of lag! Constant disconnects, both as host and joiner. Unplayable.
12 quid though...
I think maximum between 8 and 10 would have been a bit of a better price point.
Don't think they've even touched the code. Just lumped DLC together.
So probably a good chunk of that 12 is recouping the licence fee. Again.
@Dezzy70 That analogy also stands that the same sports car will have a premium interior and the Hyundai that everyone else has got, has an inferior erm, interior. We could all live in mobile homes/trailers. We could all shop at Iceland. Some live in luxury gated communities. Some shop at Harrods.
Bloodborne for me. Got as far as NG+4/5, I don't quite remember back in 2017, and I never will understand why I had 'a tidy up' of my saves and deleted it. As I could be sitting here playing it on me PS5 with my level god-knows-what. Oh well, I'm not gonna start again, maybe, roll on the sequel or PS5 remaster. Fingers and toes crossed.
@Bentleyma-
I remember, over 20 years ago, doinking 2 girls in the back on one of their cars. Yeah, classy I know.
What base that would be I don't know.🤔
Quite the looker when I was in me twenties.
Nowadays I can barely raise a smile, let alone anything else.
Anyone got a splint?
@Migoshuro Not his place. Hired for the shoot. He actually lives in his grandma's basement, parents disowned him. She doesn't charge him rent, well.. in the traditional sense anyway. Keeps the gulley from drying up, is the best way to put it. Neither a tit nor a bollock has he held that wasn't his own kin. Confirmed facts. Some ilk with poor personal hygiene who works in GAME told me.
I guess bricks n mortar stores will follow suit soon.
If any of them survive into the new year.
The near future..
eBay, going cheap, PS4 disk version of CP2077, unwrapped, brand spanking, it's got a map n stickers and everyfink. Can I get £50?
Anyone? Anyone?....🤣🤣🙄🙄
If anyone IS looking to offload it on eBay though, and might be thinking, balls to it lump it out for 20 to 30 notes, that could be a cheap buy if someone is prepared to sit on it for a few months.
I wouldn't call it a shrewd investment by any stretch though.

Re: Sony Introduces Game Trials, Try PS5 Games for a Limited Time
Been said by others here countless times, but I'll echo the sentiments of timed, including download time.
Stupid.
And I've got fast internet.
But I wouldn't be surprised if they change tack by the end of next week and adjust it so it won't be included.
What corporate stooge greenlighted that???

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Dev Casts Doubt Over PS5 Version Launching This Year
Quite enjoying my free version.👍
I drop in and out of it on PS5 between other games.
Not had a crash yet or issues, about 15 hours in.
May finish it and give it away before PS5 version comes out.
Not fussed.

40.5GB 'patch' btw
Increased total size to 107.8GB
So only about 4 gig or so on top.
Re: Deal: Physical PS5 Games Get Significant Price Cuts
Amazon UK, pah!
Base.com has had great deals on pre-orders, £10 to £15 cheaper than anywhere else.
Got Mass Effect Legend for £46, played 30 hours on 1, 38 hours on 2, and 40+ on 3.
Then sold it on for £40.
100+ hours of M E gaming bliss for £6!

Happy gamers 👍
Mass Effect this time next week. Double busy.
Re: Resident Evil Village (PS5) - Capcom's Best Horror Game for 16 Years
@Lightning_FF13
Same here.
Got both on order from Base.
Just shy of £96 for a PS5 and PS4 game.
Not too bad a price methinks.
Paying £55+ per is not for me.
Even Amazon seem to be selling at 'full' price.🤦
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Has Now Spent Over Four Months Missing from PS Store
Nay bothered.
Got Mass Effect coming in a couple of weeks, that'll be a time sink.
End of year, PS5 patch for Cyberpunk then I'll play it. Or next year, not fussed.
Free game anyway due to CDPR refund for physical. 👍
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Refunds Accounted for Less than 0.5% of Launch Period Sales
I too am one of the small minority.
That has a free game.
And £50 back in the bank account.
Opportunity. Taken advantage of.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Sold 13.7 Million Copies in 2020, 28% on PS4
Got it on a shelf.
Free game.
Refunded directly by CDPR.
When PS5 version goes on, whenever, I'll play.
Re: PS4 Masterpiece Bloodborne Turns Six Years Old Today
Fantastic game.
NG+4 when I eventually deleted my save game.
Why?
I do not know 🤦🏼♂️
Would happily pay for a PS5 version.
Or even if they patched it, I would restart it again.
Had the guide book, so much that could be missed.
Got rid of that too 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Re: CDPR's Blockbuster RPG Cyberpunk 2077 Now Nearing Three Months Missing from PS Store
When the PS5 patch goes live I will no doubt enjoy playing my free game.
Physical version, sitting on a shelf.
CDPR refunded me directly.
And when I'm done with it, I'll sell it on.
And if they ask for it back before I've done all that, lost in the post.
Re: Talking Point: What Free March 2021 PS Plus Games Are You Hoping For?
Heard a lot of good stuff about Devil May Cry for PS5, and it's had good sale prices.
For PS4, erm, manic miner/jet set willy collection.
That should run ok without too many crashes.
Yeah. I chucked the bait in.
Bite little fishes. 😘
Re: Cyberpunk 2077's Crucial v1.2 Patch Delayed on PS5, PS4
I'm really looking forward to playing this 'at some point'.
People that have played it through say it's a great world, story etc etc
(See, I didn't knock the game, because I haven't played it yet.) 😉
CDPR refunded me directly at the start of all the brouhaha and never asked for the game back.
So I've got a free game that at some point, I think I will really enjoy, free or not.
£50 is a few hours at work so I'm a bit less triggered for 50 notes than most.
On the other hand, I did get that back soo...🤦🏼♂️
I could play it sooner rather than later I know, and although they have already slipped from their roadmap dates, I'm sure the PS5 patch, this year/next year will make what many have called a great experience, only better.

Broken outright, yes. But only because of dropping or trod on.
As you were.

Which I will sell on when finished 👍

Surprised Pushsquare hasn't done an article that has been on Gamesradar+ among others in the past few days..

No request to send it anywhere. As yet.

Re: PS5 UK Restock Targeted by Scalpers Again, Group Claims More Than 2,000 Orders Made
But it's not hard to judge how many will 'eventually' go to customers who will actually unbox and play the machine.
100% of them.
ALL PS5s end up in the hands of real gamers.
It all depends on how desperate people are, how much they will pay over the official price.
Try this...
Don't buy from a reseller.
Just stop doing it.
Watch what would happen.
They'll have 2000 units they can't shift and multiple credit cards/loans they can't repay.
After a month or 2, once the bills comes in, they'd take a big poo and reduce the price to near original retail price just to pay their own debt.
Zero profit.
Nice bit of panic for them for 60 days. 🤓
Re: Mini Review: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition - An Inconsistent Yet Entertaining Beat-'Em-Up
Loved it on PS3, got the comic book spot on, music brilliant, difficulty reminded me of beat 'em ups on the speccy, like Target Renegade.
Again.
Fix the online.
Re: Sony Removed All the PS5 Target Dates from CES 2021 Trailer
@Dezzy70
That analogy also stands that the same sports car will have a premium interior and the Hyundai that everyone else has got, has an inferior erm, interior.
We could all live in mobile homes/trailers.
We could all shop at Iceland.
Some live in luxury gated communities.
Some shop at Harrods.
I'm none of the above four 🤣
Re: Poll: What Was the Best PS4 First-Party Exclusive of the Generation?
Bloodborne for me.
Got as far as NG+4/5, I don't quite remember back in 2017, and I never will understand why I had 'a tidy up' of my saves and deleted it.
As I could be sitting here playing it on me PS5 with my level god-knows-what.
Oh well, I'm not gonna start again, maybe, roll on the sequel or PS5 remaster. Fingers and toes crossed.
Re: Random: Looking For a Media Centre That'll Fit Your New PS5? IKEA's Got You Covered
Got mine from IKEA about a month beforehand.
Tape measure in hand once the dimensions were known, fits a treat.
With a hidden cable back to it. 👍
Re: Rumour: PS5 Ships 3.4 Million Units in First Four Weeks
I had no trouble getting mine day one.
As well as at least 20 close friends and PSN friends got theirs.
All from 1st party channels.
No eBay etc.
Pay attention.
Less salt.
Re: Sony Reportedly Refunding Purchases of Maneater on PS5 Following PS Plus Announcement
Won't be long before all the old gen owners, who haven't got PS5's, come on complaining they already bought Tomb Raider.
Years ago.
Re: Bloodborne, Demon's Souls PS5 Producer Leaves Sony Japan Studio
@Gaming365247
I've just got the last pack of bog rolls from supermarket for when the aliens land.
What was the article about again?
Re: Random: This Guy Has Five PS5s
@Bentleyma-
I remember, over 20 years ago, doinking 2 girls in the back on one of their cars. Yeah, classy I know.
What base that would be I don't know.🤔
Quite the looker when I was in me twenties.
Nowadays I can barely raise a smile, let alone anything else.
Anyone got a splint?
Re: Random: This Guy Has Five PS5s
@Migoshuro
Not his place.
Re: Random: This Guy Has Five PS5s
@suikoden
Probably.
Definitely.
Re: Random: This Guy Has Five PS5s
I myself, only have one.
I guess one other difference between 'people like' Paul and I is that I have held a real life tit in my hand.
Re: Sony Removes Cyberpunk 2077 from PS Store, Pledges Refunds for All PS Store Purchases
